Vacation Help

Hi ladies, you've all been great in the pst with advice so I figured I'd throw this one out there.

I'm leaving on a cruise with my mom on Thursday. It's 8 days long and I'm having a panic attack over missing my Cathe workouts.

They do of course have a regular gym with your traditional tredmils and dumbells but I'm at a loss as to what routines to follow...

What do you guys do when you're on vacation?

Get into the Fitness room EARLY! I have found that when we were on vacation, the rooms would start filling up alot from 8 am on. DH and I used the treadmill together on one of our days. Some of the Fitness rooms have the dumb bells too and a TV and VCR so you can bring your Cathe videos if you can get in there early enough. I am just talking in general too as if you were staying at a Marriott or something. I am not sure what will be on a ship.

Well, I just got back from a cruise and I signed up for all of the pilates and yoga classes just to try something different. It was fun to break with routine and do something completely different from my normal workout routine. I also did the treadmill a few times. I brought my MP3 player and heart monitor for the treadmill. Look at it as a vacation in all respects: a change from the norm. Time to try something you've never tried before. There are lots of great classes onboard.

Do NOT obsess about your workouts. Immerse yourself in your surroundings and have FUN!! :D
 
I take that time off for my body to recover. However, while on a cruise, I do like to try different things that they offer on the ship since there is more food available. I did Spinning for the first time and I loved it.
