Using www.goodsearch.com instead of Google to raise $$ ...

Hi Cathe-ites,
A good friend of ours has a daughter who is in remission from having a malignant brain tumor. She (our friend) is really an inspiration of good spirit and having a fantastic attitude amidst adversity sent this out to a group of her friends.

Everytime you search up something on the internet using www.goodsearch.com, if you then select Coaches Curing Kids Cancer which connects to Curesearch, the childhood cancer research foundation, your search (clicking a button) raises money for research to help cure cancer.

I have been amazed at the work Curesearch.org does -- it actually applies research on treatments straight to kids and systematizes the findings so that kids in any state (except Wyoming, Alaska and one other I'm forgetting now) will get the same standard treatment protocal. I love this idea because then a kid who lives in a city not near a premier medical center, could have access to the same "state of the art" treatment that a kid could get at say, Sloan-Kettering. The survival rates from different childhood cancers has gone up dramatically because of research on treatments, which 30 some years ago, were nonexistent.

So if anyone has an interest in doing a search on "body fat" or any fitness topic and once in awhile using goodsearch.com, we can all do something good for kids who are suffering everyday with cancer and the yucky side effects of treatment.

Sorry if I'm soapboxing here, but hope that passing along this info might be of interest to some of you!

Have a great day,
Barb

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates half its revenue, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. You use it just as you would any search engine, and it?s powered by Yahoo!, so you get great results.

Just go to www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Coaches Curing Kids Cancer as the charity you want to support. Just 500 of us searching four times a day will raise about $7300 in a year without anyone spending a dime! And, be sure to spread the word!
