US weight set at walmart

in the process of purchasing a barbell set and have two choices:
Troy lite & US weight set,if any one is familiar with either set can you tell me if US weights are rubberized like the one in the Troy set? Also,if I purchase the Troy lite set what size additional weights should I order?

I love the Troy lite (I have two sets!).
I'm not sure about the US weight set, but I think it's big and bulky compared to the Troy.
If you get the Troy set, it doesn't come with 10# weights, so get a couple of them. And if they still have 1.25# weights available (they used to), get some of them to be able to increase your weight more gradually.

We actually have used both weight sets in our club and in our videos. The Troy set is of higher quality, but both sets will work fine for you. The US weight set is made by the Step Company and sells for under $20 at Walmart. The Troy Lite set will cost many times this amount and you will also have to pay for s/h.

Hi,

I have been using the US weight set from Walmart for about two years now. I also purchased two 2 1/2 pound Troy plates which fit fine on the U.S. Weight set.
