OK, I think I want to buy one, but will I use it.

I need input from rebounders....such as which tapes are the best, learning curve for a klutz and is it effective for weight loss and fitness.

Thanks.

RE: Urban Rebounder Need more help

I don't use mine a lot, since I have so many other kinds of videos I love, but when I do use it I love it. I would say I average 2 X a week on it, about 20 minutes each time. For the money, it's still a great investment. It can be very intense, and is easy on the joints. And it's really fun. Hope this helps.

RE: Urban Rebounder Need more help

I love my UR too! It is my favorite form of cardio. Usually I'll be shooting for 30 min on the rebounder and end up doing 50 or 60 because I'm in the *zone* and don't want to stop. I put a lot of cathe's more intense moves like plyo jacks, tuck jumps etc and use 2 pound weighted gloves so that can be a great workout.

I have some favorite videos: Traci Long's G Force, Jerry James's Champion Rebounding, some of the UR tapes like Advanced, Interval Bound, and Sport Specific Bound, but I rarely use a video. I like to just put on my favorite music and freestyle. I make my workouts more intense than the videos and I don't want to go at someone elses pace. Choreography isn't a big deal on the rebounder :)

Oh yeah, I always have the rebounder handy for workouts like the kickmax blasts and the Imax's. I usually don't like to jump that much on my floor.
