I'm with both of these ladies. I use both series and could not choose between the two.
They both have a different feel to them and I have a very low boredom threshold so I need a great variety of tapes to keep changing it up.
I like to do one PUB and one CTX upper per week, then I work for strength and endurance each week. Each of these tapes is superb. I get more of a pump with the PUB, but I also disagree that you cannot build strength with the CTX upper, because I have been able to.
Leaner legs is a wonderfully thorough tape and even though the emphasis is endurance, I am thoroughly worked out by this tape and it moves along speedily because Cathe maximizes time and manipulates the concept of "active rest." It raises the heart rate pretty effectively also.
PLB is a great tape for testing yourself anytime you want to push to the nest weight level and break a plateau: it has helped me go beyond 40 pounds for lower body and move into 50 pounds terrain, because you can motivate your self psychologically to try the next weight up when it's only for 8 or 10 reps!
I can truly say that every leg muscle is exhausted with both LL and PLB, but interestingly enough, I don't get DOMS (delayed muscle soreness) with the LL, only with the PLB because you can really push it.
I suppose if I really had to choose between the 2, I would buy the CTX series simply because the huge variety and endless possibilities for building a unique workout program come with the 5 different cardio sections on these tapes. They are hugely motivating, the music is awesome, the level intense and they will push up your cardiovascular endurance. Very, very worth the money, don't know what I'd do without them!
Get the CTX now, and the pyramids after you have done these CTX's for a few months, that would be my bottom line suggestion!
Have fun,
