Upper body and Lower body videos?

Ok, so I have been doing Power Hour and Maximum Intensity strength for about three months now and have finally decided that I should move on the a lower body and upper body rotaion as well. I am thinking about Leaner legs and CTX upper, or the pyramid tapes. Has anyone had any better experience with one over the other? Or do any of you have any preferences?

If you can, get both CTX and the Pyramids...tee hee. I know, I know, ridiculous! How much money can a person spend on Cathe workouts?! I have already spent too much...but it is so worth it...options, options, options! I love both series. With CTX you will get some wonderful cardio options also along with various ab routines. You will be able to use the series as is or mix it up with other workouts creating a multitude of workout experiences. LL is killer and the upper body work is great.

The Pyramids are awesome also and will help you build more strength. If you have a DVD player you can opt to do Pyramid up or Pyramid down only instead of five sets of each exercise. You can do three sets of 8, 10, and 12 or three sets of 12, 10, and 8. I do this and go as heavy as I can to gain strength and cut down on time. The stability ball work is great for the abs, thighs, glutes, and hamstrings. If you get both the Pyramids and CTX you can do PUB up or down only and tack on a CTX cardio. Have I totally made this choice even harder for you?!

Whatever you decide to get you will love and use! And whatever you get now enjoy and know that you can get the other at a later time. Good luck!:7 :7 :7 :7

I have both CTX leaner legs and Upper body and both the Pyramids. If you get one set, you'll definitely want to get the other set eventually.

I'm with both of these ladies. I use both series and could not choose between the two.

They both have a different feel to them and I have a very low boredom threshold so I need a great variety of tapes to keep changing it up.

I like to do one PUB and one CTX upper per week, then I work for strength and endurance each week. Each of these tapes is superb. I get more of a pump with the PUB, but I also disagree that you cannot build strength with the CTX upper, because I have been able to.

Leaner legs is a wonderfully thorough tape and even though the emphasis is endurance, I am thoroughly worked out by this tape and it moves along speedily because Cathe maximizes time and manipulates the concept of "active rest." It raises the heart rate pretty effectively also.

PLB is a great tape for testing yourself anytime you want to push to the nest weight level and break a plateau: it has helped me go beyond 40 pounds for lower body and move into 50 pounds terrain, because you can motivate your self psychologically to try the next weight up when it's only for 8 or 10 reps!

I can truly say that every leg muscle is exhausted with both LL and PLB, but interestingly enough, I don't get DOMS (delayed muscle soreness) with the LL, only with the PLB because you can really push it.

I suppose if I really had to choose between the 2, I would buy the CTX series simply because the huge variety and endless possibilities for building a unique workout program come with the 5 different cardio sections on these tapes. They are hugely motivating, the music is awesome, the level intense and they will push up your cardiovascular endurance. Very, very worth the money, don't know what I'd do without them!

Get the CTX now, and the pyramids after you have done these CTX's for a few months, that would be my bottom line suggestion!

Have fun,

CLare
