Updated my picture trail

I did this b/c my most recent "fitness" pic was from 2 years ago, & right about that time I started getting much more serious about core work. Also I started circuit training about 3 mos. ago. So I wanted to see if I'd gotten any results or if I've been busting my rear for nothing.

I'd appreciate feedback........I compared the pics & other than the tan I don't feel like I look that different. Maybe a little more muscular & cut but I don't know if it's worth killing myself if I can go back to my old, easier routine & look pretty much the same.

Thank you Angela, you're very sweet. :)

But does it look like I've gotten results from all the extra work?

You look INCREDIBLE Laura! And Yes, you can see the results from the extra work!

Color me jealous...!

Lauramax,

I think you look great before but the after has alot more muscle!!
I think you look great, Im not sure how much extra your doing to get that look but there is a big difference in muscle in the new picture!!

Have a great day!
Lisa

I think your arms look more defined, especially the shoulders. I don't see a huge difference in your core, but your waist looks more narrow to me. Be proud of your hard work, you look fantastic!

Lori

I think you look awsome!! I am honestly going to say I dont see a huge difference...I think lori is right your arms look more defined but besides that I think they are comparable.

I really think you look equally ripped. I would take either your "before" or "after" look, but I'd have to give up M&M's.

Your body fat is clearly lower in the newer pic (that's the one with the lockers in the background, right?). You can definitely see the increased definition, particularly in the arms and core area.

Nice job, girl!!!! I'm so jealous... but alas, so undisciplined.

:)

You look great in both pics. The newer one I think a little more muscular but hard to tell because of different lighting and tanning. You probably are more ripped now just because tanning and darker lighting usually makes you look more cut and you look slightly more cut in the newer "lighter" pictures. If that makes sense.

I'm with shelly on this one...lol

I did notice your arms have more definition and your waist looks smaller! You have some great arms Laura...seriously, how are you going to change perfection? Do what makes you happy;-)
Amber

Okay, I've got to tell you I think you look "healthier" in the earlier picture. I'm just being honest :) I think it's hard to improve on perfection :)

Hi Laura,

You look beautiful! I don't think you should have to exercise harder than before.

I just can't tell the difference. I wish I could but I can't. Perhaps it's just the photographs. Did you measure yourself to see if there was a difference? If I look really close it seems you lost some weight, but you didn't need to do that.

Which pictures are you talking about? Could you go back and put dates on them?

Oh dear, I think I'm in trouble now.;( I'm afraid to send this, but hey, I'll be brave and do it anyway.

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

I don't notice a striking difference between the pictures, which may be due to the fact that the orientation is different -- the older picture is kind of at an angle, but you're facing the camera directly in the newer photo. Be that as it may, you look fantastic and I'd kill for your waistline.

Your body fat definitely looks lower in the new picture. Your arms are more cut (and honestly, I was impressed the first with the cut of your arms way back when I first saw your first picture!)

I think you look great in both pics. Are you happy with the results you've gotten from switching up your routine? Because quite frankly, I don't think you can go wrong here :)

LOL! Thanks all for the input & the compliments. I actually weigh the same--the first pics were I think from June 2004, the latest are from last night. I weigh about 112 in both pics.

Maybe I'm doing too much cardio? I've heard that lately b/c it effects muscle development but I'm kind of skeptical.

Or maybe I'm just at a point in my life, after being a serious exerciser for 18 years, that I can just chill & do what I most enjoy, rest when I'm tired & not be so darned crazy about it.

Oh & I did lose serious weight in January, I think mostly b/c of stress. I just couldn't eat & there were actually times when I got sick for no apparent reason. I'd intended to lose 10 lbs (yeah, major weight gain last year) in 2 mos. & I ended up losing 15 in about 3 weeks. I've gained a few back since last week but it really hurt my routine. My training partner said "wow, that is so cool!" and I said no it's not, I feel weak, I feel crappy, & I look sick. (I'm still not convinced she doesn't have an eating disorder but there's not much I can do about it)

Note to all: fast, unplanned weight loss is not a good thing. x(
