Laurie, I completely agree with you that in todays world, patients are consumers and need to be proactive. There is a right way and a wrong way to navigate the system.
Anne, I'm sorry, but if you have a question or a problem, the correct way to handle it is to call your doctor, not your friends at the hospital. What they did is truly unethical. They have provided you with some ifo that is out of context. I can understand your frustration to be sure, but you need to call your doctor. Laurie is right, the squeaky wheel does indeed get the oil, but you need to squeak to the right people.
