Update on my neighbor

Some of you may remember last Fall I told you about my neighbor whose melanoma had recurred and metatasized to his brain. He is not doing well at all. He has had three courses of chemotherapy and two courses of radiation therapy. This past Saturday he, his wife, and daughter flew to Texas for second and third opinions. Their daughter has kept in touch with my DD (they are the same and age and been raised together since kindergarten and are like sisters). He deteriorated rapidly in Texas. The doctors there told him he had less than a month to live. They told him he could not go home regular air but had to have an air ambulance, his blood pressure is not stable and there are blood clots in his legs.

Please keep this family in your prayers. I cannot imagine having to go through something like this.

Oh Jane, how sad.

I do remember you telling us about him and it's just so sad what he and his family are going through.

They are all in my prayers.

That's so sad Jane. I'm so sorry to hear this. If he can't get better than I hope he passes quickly and peacefully.

That poor girl is losing her father way too youg. That sucks. I know...I lost mine when I was in my earlier 20's as well. ;(

My thoughts and prayers are with this man and his family.

Jane - Melanoma is horrible, isn't it? I'm so sorry your neighbor is going through this. Of course he and his family are in my prayers.

Jane, your friends are in my prayers--and your DD too. I know how hard it is for me when my best friend is going through rough times.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers. He is back in NC, they flew him in on an air ambulance. The family has been told that he probably won't last the night. ;(

Jane, they are so blessed to count you among their friends. I'm sure they appreciate your kind and thoughtful attention to their welfare.

I'll continue to pray for them.

Michele

Thanks so much for all of your prayers. He gone now. He went home at 2:30 this afternoon. This is going to be a sad sad weekend. ;( ;(

Jane, I'm so sorry. Thank you for the update. Again, his family is so fortunate to have you to lean on. I know all your care and concern is getting them through this time.

Michele

Oh Jane, I have tears in my eyes. I'm sooo sorry for his family and for yours. It's obvious that you feel a closeness to this family. I know your daughters are close as well.

I am glad though that it is over. He is now at peace and will no longer have to suffer. I say if the very sick can't be cured then they need to pass quickly and peacefully so that they can once again be happy and the family can begin the healing process.

Hugs and prayers to all affected.
