We dropped Tristan off at his new residence last Monday. He will be living in a group home geared specifically towards his syndrome, Prader Willi. Last night we called him and he is doing wonderfully. He likes his job making parts, although he doesn't know what they are parts for. He has a girlfriend, but doesn't know anything about her except her name. They increased his daily calories from 800 up to 1200, and he was happy about having pizza for dinner last night. Tristan is walking on the treadmill for an hour each day and has already lost 6 pounds! (Don't panic, PW people are geared completely differently from normal folk and losing 6 pounds in a week is not a bad thing.) I was afraid he would be a little homesick after a week, but he sounded very happy. At last he has a life! Such a relief.
