Underestimated 4 Day Split

I use to only do the kickboxing and the bootcamp section. I decided to give a try for the whole serie last week. A lot of you said to give it another shot and I didn't believe I will enjoy it.

yes, the cardio for the step is less intense. But I needed that change and 4 Day Split was what I needed. We can't always do intense cardio, I burn myself out and then I don't feel like working out. So, I am happy that Cathe doesn't always do extra intense. Variety is great and finally I am appreciating that serie!
 
I am not a fan of the step routines. I like love the kickbox and bootcamp cardios and I think the weight lifting portion is fantastic!

oh man! i love everything about 4ds!!!

the bc is fun to do when we have company. most people cant step but anyone can follow along to bc or kb! and it is totally fun to smoke my teenage sisters!

the weight work is fantastic too!

and i love the step! gives me tons of energy!
 
I totally love 4 Day Split! HIS is one of my favorite step videos, and I love the other cardio's, too. I think it's the music. I love LIS until that "everything is changing" song comes on...it puts a damper on the energy (to me). The weight work is great, too!
 
So glad to hear this!!! I have a 4DS rotation all set to go for when I go back to work full time in May!!

I totally agree! I kept getting mad and not wanting to do the series b/c of the step :confused: The weight work is great...an option is to double up the weight work OR add the weight work to the end of a different lifting session. It has so many options.
 
I did the weighted portions on the step (upper body) after I had my surgeries. I haven't done the entire 4DS yet. The over the top dvd player for some reason won't let me play it, so I have to use a lap top. Thanks for reminding me I can do this week!
 
I took me a while to warm up to 4DS, but now I really like it. I find that I do the bootcamp and step routines most often. I like the versatility of this series. I have used it for a circuit workouts, short cardio sessions and long cardio sessions. I rarely do just the weight workouts, but I have used the Ab routines.
 
I really didn't like it ... it's only last week that I started to appreciate it and I feel bad... I want to say "Sorry Cathe for have not appreciated this great serie"...
 
Just got this series,today! Planning to start a rotation tomorrow! I think the step routines look like alot of fun! Can't wait to use the weight segments either! Hope I like it as mush as I think I will!
 
I did Lower Intensity with shoulder emphasis yesterday!! Loved it! I had done just the weighted sections after both of my surgeries. I was surprised I could lift as heavy after doing cardio, especially the shoulders. I did manage to do 8 reps with 15lbs. Go me, go me, go me :D. The last combo I couldn't quite do, but I improvised. Glad Cathe wasn't watchin' LOL. I also like the way Cathe broke up the combo at the end. I can't wait to try the other segaments. I think you will enjoy it!
