Tyring to Fit Yoga In for Monday October 22

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Cathe's 4 Day Split - High Intensity Step and Chest & Back. I modified some of the cardio blasts on my Rebounder. Coreography was a bit baffling, so my HR didn't come up too high. I pretty much matched Cathe on all of her weights (dragged my DH's 30 pounders from the basement -- need my own set) except the one set of chest presses with 30 lb DB's. After all of those pushups, I couldn't hoist those DBs and had to use 25 lbs instead. I also did a couple less reps than her. I liked the music in this workout much better. Workout was 70" and I burned 490 calories.

I didn't particularly care for the music on the kickbox and leg segment I did yesterday, but when I stopped to think about it, Cathe seems to use the same kind of music for her kickbox and leg workouts.

I've got an appointment with another Temp Agency this morning. Have a great day everyone.

I asked if anyone wanted this Iyengar yoga DVD I have up for grabs yesterday. I posted a brief description .........so please read it and let me know if you're interested. The music doesn't work on it, only instruction. I'd hate to pitch it if someone here wants it. Please let me know ladies.
 
Hi ladies,

On my way out - walking to my studio for hatha class - 30 minutes there - 1hr and 15 min class - and 30 minutes back.
I am feeling like a real blob - as I had a very bad eating day today... left over pizza - and then - oven fries... plus 3 chocolate almonds!!!

Lora - Thanks for the review of the new Cathe. I am ok for now wrt the yoga dvds. Hope all goes well at the new temp agency - and you find some interesting possibilities.

Hi ladies! Tonight's WO was LEGS! I was basically supposed to just do leg segments until I couldn't do any more. I was dreading this WO, but actually was kinda' happy at the same time to get a break from adding on abs and cardio. I started with Jari's Slim and Lean Squats segment (x 2) and 1 leg squats/plie squats segment (x 2). I then did 100 deadlifts to my own music. I felt like I could continue and was missing Cathe, so I popped in Butts and Guts and did the low end lunges, sit and stands, firewalkers (x 2) and leg lifts. If I don't feel this workout tomorrow, then something is very, very wrong! :) I didn't post the other day, but I did S&L triceps, Quick Fix Abs Flex segment and IMAX 2 and IMAX 3 step cardio only. For a "cooldown" I did IMAX 1 step combos only, but took out any moves with impact-I just wanted to learn the choreography since I had never even previewed it and have had the DVD forever. Doing just the step combos of the IMAX DVDs was really, really fun! I was not sore the next day, but very fatigued. I still got in my workout of S & L biceps and Strength & Grace abs, but only managed about 15 minutes of walking before calling it quits. Netflix finally rec'd my Firm lower body WO and I am just waiting to see what they send out next....should be Jillian Michaels Kickbox.

Forgot to tell you all one funny thing that happened at my appt. The nurse was reviewing my history and told me that I was drinking too much alcohol for someone wanting to get pregnant! She got confused and was looking at the NUMBER of TIMES I EXERCISE per week and was reading that as the NUMBER of DRINKS I have in a day! LOL!

Lora-Wow, you are really cranking out those new workouts! Glad you are liking this series better than the last one. Re: Ultrasound-yep, it was the dr. himself performing it and not a tech. I agree that some docs can be a little insensitive. It just would have been nice to have a little explanation as the procedure was occuring. What you said is VERY TRUE, they have to do this to figure out what the problems will be and get them sorted out before the "real deal". Thanks for the info on the meds. That made me feel much better and that they are less extreme than I previously thought. Thanks for the big hugs-even though you are far away I can feel the support and it's really appreciated! Good luck with the temp agency today-I hope this one works out better!

Yve-Sorry you have been feeling sluggish lately. Any better today? I bet your yoga and your walk will help diminish that feeling. I know you're bummed about your eating, but it sure sounded good! Did you at least get to enjoy it in the moment? Thanks for the calming thoughts and gentle reminders about this whole IVF process. You're right, one day this will just be a memory.
