For my 40th birthday we had an "Aged to perfection" party - with cheese and wine - also aged
I thought it was a cute idea. We had different cheese on cutting boards, trays of meats and breads/crackers and several different kinds of wine.

Theres always the Over the hill theme too lol

What about creating a short, personalized poem for your friend? That way you don't go nuts trying to come up with clever phrases that rhyme with forty.
