Turkey Trot Flip Flop Smash!!!!

So I was going along merrily on my turkey trot way this morning... and kerFUNK!!! Tripped on a rock, going downhill on the trail. Crash!! Smash!!!

Left hand, rocks still embedded... Right hip, raspberry... right knee and shin, smashed but not too bloody... left knee, small bruise developing.

I thought it was so funny- I didn't fall almost ever as a kid, so I love it when I fall (a little) now!! I feel so ALIVE and like I'm LIVING MY LIFE!!!

And, just think about all the rocks I missed on my 5 mile jaunt!!!

Hope your turkey trots were super enjoyable and much less painful than mine!!!

I'm doing an A-Jock mish mosh. I don't know how I can possibly avoid it being painful But it's a FRIENDLY burn!

OMG Amy!...I am so sorry. I think I had the same reaction when I fell in a creek during a trail run last year. I was so darn happy to be up and running!!! Who cares!...You realize now, this makes you a true trail runner!!!!.......Carole
