I posted a question about tummy fat but no reply. What is the best way to loose tummy fat. How much does acholol affect dieting.x(

I don't known about "loose" abdominal fat, but to lose abdominal fat, diet is very important (there is a saying that "six packs are made in the kitchen") especially for those of us who tend to store our fat there. Sometimes, it's impossible to completely get rid of the ab fat without getting too skinny elsewhere (I have that problem).

Any program that helps reduce body fat will help with this (diet, cardio to burn calories, resistance training emphasizing working the large muscle groups of the legs, back and chest, or that uses multiple muscles at the same time to burn more calories).

Core work is good to keep those muscles in shape.

As for alcohol and dieting: a gram of alcohol has 7 calories (vs. 9 for a gram of fat, and 4 for either a gram of protein or carbohydrate). Also, I've read that alcohol consumption keeps your body from burning fat. And because it can increase your appetite, it can contribute to weight gain (especially if what you eat when drinking is high fat, so it will tend to be stored rather than used for fuel).

not cathe but maybe you could post this in the open discussion forum and get some responses from knowledgable folks there.

but my take is proper diet and working the abs with great form. alcohol is loaded with calories. one beer can have up to 200 calories and leave you feeling bloated. i quit drinking 2 years ago and it made a big difference. but that is just me.

hi, i'm skinny with fat on my belly and i hate it, i have found that changing your ab routine constantly works the best, switch between pilates based abs, then core, "regular" ab work (crunches, side crunches v sit ups ect)even yoga (which i'm not crazy about) keep switching your ab workouts, cardio helps burn the fat off,
also, i do drink, (not alot though!!!) in july of this year i went around 5-6 weeks without any alcohol and i definately noticed a difference, so did my friends and family, so the empty calories in alcohol does add up! hope this helps:) good luck!

Cardio is the best way to lose tummy fat, then strength training to tighten it up. Good combo for that is Low Max/Muscle Max or Boot Camp (if you're up to the challenge). Alcohol is high in calories and can ruin a diet, even Light Beer. Sorry, I forgot Core Max and Ab Hits too as good DVDs.
It's a consistant problem area for me especially when I plateau on fitness without increasing step height or weights.
