* * Tuesday, the MELTING starts Now! * *

Hi I'm back,

I did the Pyramid Upper Body ( up only) pre-mix this morning. This is a very tough workout. I only wish she would give you more time between sets.. I can hardly get the next weight increment in my hand and she has started already! I won;t get hurt by lifting..but by jumping around trying to pick up the weights and get back down!

Shelly:
well the snow did not really "stick" as they say! but it is still too darn cold for spring! OTT lamps are great. I use one for quilting and DH uses one for fly tying.

Jennifer:
Is your NY trip a vacation?

Shannon:
Cudos to you for being able to do all the calf raises! I think I skip some of those if I remember correctly..sorry to hear about your headache and neck problems with the computer..maybe get a new chair? sometimes it's the height of the chair that puts you in a bad position..I don't like chiros either..I can't toss my HRM...I'm too anal retentive about calories being burned..i's a hang up I have.

Lainie:
Glad to hear Isaac is feeling better. What was the name of the sunless tanner that you loved? I bet we could find it on Ebay!

Robin:
Welcome back! I feel for you on having to do all that garbage when you get home, then go to work the next day! That's why when we go to Mexico for a week, I try to come home on Saturday. Congrats on the weight loss!

Tneah:
See above on the HRM Obsession! I may have to try that tanner, even if it has a smell. I put it on at night too, but then my sheets stink! I am lucky DH is as mellow as he is. He never says anything about it. I can;t wait to try your goodies when they get here. I may ask you for instructions on how to use correctly. STalked??? OMG.. don't you hate the fact that there are so many weirdo walking around now a days?

Leanne:
I love the necklace! You are so talented. I would not have the patience to do that. I went to look at houses with my father and his wife. They live about 50 miles away in the country, and want to get closer to the family.

TK:
Welcome BAck! Yes bring on the leg warmers..it's still 20 degrees here! LOL

Have a great day ladies!

Deb:)

Goodmorning melters. I don't think I ever got back to mention that I did Step Blast yesterday. I iced my knee after and was a bit stiff and sore last night, but I can walk without a limp this morning. Yay!

Deb, I love PUB, but I keep the remote close. I frequently have to pause for some of the weight changes.

tneah! Yikes on the stalker. At least it was in a nice public place. A kid approaced me on St John one night and told me I was beautiful. Then he proceded to tell me I reminded him of his mom, who had died in a car crash. That's as close to a stalker story as I have.

TK, welcome back! I'm glad your project is finished.

I have a dentist appointment after work and plan on some kind of lifting workout after that. I haven't decided if I want to do a total body thing, or pick a part. I'll be back later to check on the rest of you melty folk.

Morning all!

I didn't do my run this morning because it feels like I've wrenched something in my back!!! It's quite uncomfortable and I'm hoping it will work itself out over the course of the day and I can run tonight.

Deb - I agree about PUB. I find that particularly on the chest work!

Robin - yay for SB!

Tneah - how odd about the stalker. When I was 17, I dated a cop. I went out with him for three weeks and then stopped seeing him. He stalked me for a year. Ain't nothin' more scary than being stalked by a cop!!!

TK - so glad to see you back!

Jennifer - no more snow, no more cold (except we're expecting snow today)

Leanne - I'm glad you decided to do the cameo class. I think it will be really beautiful when you're done! Thanks for the advice on the Ott lamp. I'll definitely look into it. We have Michaels up here, but not Joann's.

Okay, off to the shower with me.

Good Morning Melters.

Just like Shelley stated, she's getting snow today and so am I.
It never ends.

Robin-Great job on SB! Love that workout.

Tneah-be careful. Change your schedule a bit, shop at a different store, bring your DH, or tell the store manager. They may have gotten other complaints.

At work yesterday, I was informed I must visit this home show that we're part of. It's great it's only 10 minutes from my home and I don't have to be there at 9am either.

World Vision. Does anyone sponsor here? My automatic donations just abruptly ended 3 years to the date it started.

Have a Great Tuesday!! BMX2 tonight.

Good morning, Melters -

I did Imax 3 last night for the first time in MONTHS. It was fun, but not quite the workout I expected. I tried to modify the high impact stuff because i really wanted to stay on the floor instead of my elliptical, but some of the modifications didn't work out so I had to use the elliptical at the last minute. So it was a rather disjointed workout. But hey, at least it was a workout!!!

I had more brownies last night. Sigh.

Deb - yes, Cathe moves fast in PUB. I have my dumbbells lined up exactly as I need them, and close by, so I can manage the changes pretty well now. But it took some getting used to! I'm working on my "office ergonomics." I think my chair is okay. The main problem I have is with the mouse position, and the department ordered me a nifty new keyboard tray with a sliding mouse platform. It just came in yesterday, so we'll see if it helps.

Robin - I'm glad you had success with Step Blast! That's the one I've missed the most. Are you on a 6 or 8 inch step now?

Shelley - how is your back feeling, now that you're at work? If you move around does it loosen up any? I hope it's okay!

Tneah - yikes! I saw your post about the stalker! Be careful, lady. Maybe you should start wearing oversized, baggy clothes to hide that lean bod of yours. :p

Hi everyone. Well, both my kids are sick today. I think Isaac is mostly on the mend, but I don't want to send him to school until I see that he has normal poops. Sorry if that's TMI, but that's the simplest way to state it. DH thinks he might be playing it up for the attention now, but DH didn't see yesterday's toilet issues.

Ewan was up in the night with a fever so of course I'm a bit tired again today. I also had my usual freaky dreams. They weren't bad, though. I even laughed in my sleep during one of them and woke up Brian, who woke me up asking what I was doing. :)

I plan to do some cardio today. I might do Amy Bento's new Hi-Low Knockout or I might do her ASCII. That's weird--my keyboard keeps shocking me. Stop that! Anyway, I will probably do it in the dining room, which is the reason I might not do the new one--it's hard to learn new choreography on my little laptop screen. I have sick kids ensconced on the couch in front of Mickey Mouse so I can't use the living room.

Deb, now I can't remember the name of my favorite European sunless tanner. Maybe it will come to me later. I can picture the bottle in my mind but not the name. It was a spray--just shot out in a stream and I'd spray it down my leg and then smooth it all over. Doesn't sound very effective but it worked pretty well and wasn't all sticky like some lotions but dried quickly.

Robin, wow, Step Blast on your knee--impressive--glad it feels o.k. this morning. I love SB.

Shelley, eek--hope your back is o.k.! Take good care of yourself today.

Jennifer--more snow! You poor thing--hope it lets up soon.

Shannon, good job on Imax 3--it's my personal favorite of the Imaxes, not that I can do it with my knees right now.

Tneah, yikes--think I'd avoid that store for a while.

Leanne, you deserve the treat of that jewelry class, I'm sure! Oh, the weird thing is that I don't get very restful sleep in spite of sliding into deep sleep so quickly. Not sure why.

TK, yay! So glad to have you back! Congrats on getting through that big project.

Good Morning!:)

Boy, everyone checked in early this AM...

Deb, I like PUB, have never tried the premix, but agree, that Cathe needs to slow it down a bit. She is also kinda fast during the 4 DS series to, which is supposed to be heavier weights, it would drive me crazy trying to keep up. I don't need an injury trying to hoist a heavy weight in record time.:)

Robin, way to go with Step Blast, I have done that one once I think. I am not a good stepper, so I usually wind up doing the LIC cardio premix or the low impact step from 4DS if I feel the need to do a step workout.

Jennifer, you can send some snow my way! I love snow, and Vegas never gets it.

Shannon, hopefully your new mouse will help with your pain today.LOL about the baggy clothes...I love comfy clothes like that and wear them around the house all the time. DH likes me to dress in oversized clothing too which I have always found rather irritating for some reason, he is a strange duck.

Shelley, ouch, my back always feels like that--especially when I wake up and at night. Apparently I have arthritis in there, so well, whatever. Ice, ibuprofen and rest today and see if that takes care of the problem, running will only make it worse.

Lainie, you and your funny dreams. Sounds like you were having fun in your dream last night! Your poor little ones, (((hugs)))to them, hope they feel better soon.

Hi to Leanne who is probably posting right now!

Today is either chest/arms or shoulders/abs. My abs are still sore from a few days ago...they really hurt! I think I might try pulling out Step Blast this am, with all the cardio I have to do, I get a chance to play around with stuff I would never get to normally.I take my cardio ideas from you all!

Oh, and either peri-menopause is messing with my cycle, or all the exercise is, because I am late...Auntie should have been here yesterday, I am like clockwork so its concerning. And no, no baby news for sure!

;) Okay, have to take George to the groomers since we did not make it yesterday, BBL...

Hi Melty Melters!

It's so great to be able to check in on a Tuesday since I don't have work today! My new Troy Lite barbell should come sometime today, and I'm so excited about it! Today is a cardio day, but I'll be able to use it tomorrow for sure when I do GS.

Today will probably be a lazy day at home. Tomorrow I need to get that smog check, and then I'm thinking of seeing if I can pick up a new workout outfit to wear to Amy Bento's class in Hollywood this Saturday. I recently bought a new tank, but my arms are so white, flabby, and scary that I wouldn't want to wear one in public. I'm going to see if I can find a nice T and maybe some matching pants. Anyone seen anything cute lately?

Deb -- I have a hard time keeping up with all the weight changes in the two Pyramid workouts, too. I think that's one of the reasons I don't like them -- I always feel too rushed! Oh, I'm so dumb -- I knew your DF wanted to look at houses, but when you posted about looking at houses, I read "DF" as "Dear Friend," not "Father"! How exciting that they might move closer! My DH re-married after my DM passed on, and now he lives about an hour away from us, in one of the more rural areas of San Diego. We still try to see each other, but we can't as frequently as I'd like.

Robin -- Hooray for doing Step Blast! That is so fantastic! Is your knee still doing alright this morning? How creepy about that boy who approached you in St. John. Was he really young? Yes, tell us about the haircut! Did you get it fixed so that it was more to your liking?

Shelley -- Oh no about your back! Hopefully it'll feel better soon! Is work still great with that unpleasant co-worker gone? Yes, definitely look into the Ott lamp! They're expensive, but worthwhile!

Jennifer -- I wish I could send you some of our sunshine! Do you do all of BM2 or just a premix? I've only been able to make it through the whole thing once or twice! What do you do for a living? Do you get to go to home shows a lot? Sounds like fun!

Shannon -- Don't sweat the brownies! A little chocolate every now and again is good for you! Remember, too, that we're still trying not to obsess, right?!;-) I hope that new keyboard tray helps with your headaches and pain!

TK -- (I'm copying my post from yesterday!) It's so good to have you back!! We've missed you, and figured that things were super busy at work. Congrats on getting that work project done! We need to celebrate by wearing some leg warmers!

Lainie -- Sorry that both boys are feeling so yucky still! It'll be nice for them to stay home so you can make sure that they're feeling better! I still haven't gotten my new Amy workouts! I was hoping to get them soon so I can at least do the Hi/Lo one; she said that at the class in LA on Saturday, she'll be doing some combos from Hi/Lo, so I wanted to practice a bit so I don't look like a complete dweeb!

Tneah -- How are you doing today, chica? Will you be making it to the gym for legs since you didn't get there yesterday? (ETA: Oops! I just saw that you posted that you're doing arms today!) Are you feeling better after that weird stalker incident? Is your DH still leaving tomorrow for DC? Sorry that your cycle is so messed up right now!

Hey Kids,

Sorry I forgot to welcome our lovely TK back to the Melters group!:7 So good to hear from you again, we wondered what was up!

Leanne, we always post at the same time, so I never get a chance to say hey in the AM. I did legs yesterday at home, couldn't stomach the gym for some reason, I kinda get sick of being around people after awhile. you know what I mean? Yeah! You get your barbell today, how exciting! Did you get a squat rack too? That is the one thing I simply cannot afford to put in my workout space. DH insists on leaving some Cybex ab and deltoid machines in there (they never get used, I can't stand them) because they "look nice".x( I could care less about the look of my space, I need a squat rack to make my life complete.;)

Will be calling Mr. Trainer man on Monday, so I decided to take the plunge and get my bodyfat professionally tested, along with bloodwork to see whats happening with my hormonal levels (if I am starting with the peri-meno thing, I want to know) plus they do a bone scan which is terrific. Its only 150 dollars for the whole sha-bang, wondering whether or not my insurance will cover it....I go tomorrow morning. Will let you guys know of course what the results were.

So I skipped Step Blast and tried the 4DS low impact step and then for the remaining 20 minutes of cardio literally stumbled through the high impact step. That is just to irritating for me to ever attempt again, I truly got so annoyed at my lack of finesse this morning! I did my arms and abs..will do chest with the rest of cardio tonight..

Okay, off to get lunch ready for the boys. I slow cooked some beef with BBQ sauce for them...:9

Sending get well vibes to your babies Lainie...you try and get some rest as well, after you get them to sleep.

Leanne, I PM'd ya, but wanted to tell you again, what a thoughtful person you are and thank you again!:)

I am baking my beloved orange roughy and my house stinks of fish...x( I love fish, but why does it have to smell? Even salmon stinks, and red snapper is the worst....

Lainie -- Yikes! Sorry that the kids are so sick still! Poor little things! Tummy problems are always the worst!

Tneah -- Thanks to *you* for being such a sweetie to all of us! Hope you enjoy! How cool that you're going to get all that testing done! That's so fantastic! I hope that nothing serious is going on with the hormones. Let us know what they say tomorrow. I tried calling Kaiser about two weeks ago to see if I could get an appointment with a sports nutritionist, but the guy never called me back. Ug!

Hello Melters.

Tonight is BMX2 all the way!! I don't do it enough cause it takes so long to do.

Tneah-Yes, you can have Shelley's and my snow. And, Thank YOU for the products.

BBL

I'm up from my nap and one kid is up (Ewan). I can't seem to convince Isaac to get up yet. Ewan is attempting to eat--I hope it stays down.

Deb, I suddenly remembered the name of that sunless tanner I liked in Europe. It came to me earlier today while I was turning on the shower, for some reason. It was Piz Buin. I found the company website: http://www.pizbuin.com/self_tan_summer_sensation_spray.jsp but haven't found if I can buy it on eBay yet. I'll have to look.

I ended up doing Push Pull, mostly because it is only 44 minutes long and I was a little pressed for time.

tneah, let us know your test results! I would love a REAL bodyfat test, but I don't know of any place local that does it.

Leanne, don't you just love days off? I ended up getting my hair cut really short, with pretty striking highlights. I like it. DH likes it. And it is soooo easy to fix in the morning.

Lainie, here's another hug for you and the boys.

Shelley, did your back feel any better as the day went on? Did you decide to rest it?

Well, DH is busy with school work, DD and the baby went to visit her SO's parents, so I'm going to spend a quiet evening with Jane Austin. See you all tomorrow.

Evening all!

Well, I was given a gift of a Cardio Coach gift certificate today, so I bought CC Volume 7 and did it tonight. WOW! What a tough one! Loved it though.

Lainie - awwww, I'm so sorry the boys are sick. Man, I hate it when Sophie is sick. I get so completely stressed out! You take care of you and I hope those boys get better soon!

Leanne - did I mention that it's so nice to see you here on a Tuesday?:)

Robin - I'd love to see pics of your hair. I bet it looks amazing! My hair used to be about an inch long all over and bleached blonde. I loved how easy it was.

Tneah - oh cool! A REAL body fat test! I'd love one of those. I've had my body fat measured with calipers before and it was around 14.9%. I don't see how that can be accurate!

All right, I'm determined to get to bed early tonight so I can get up and work out in the morning!

Night chiquitas!
