Tuesday preggies/ttc

MOrning, Susan and everybody else!

Date last night was great. Out to eat at Champps then to HomeDepot to buy the chair rail for baby's room. THen Birth Class. All of it was very nice and surprisingly I did learn a few things at BC. Guess you can teach an old preggo new tricks! Looking forward to goingout again next week!

Groceries today and no other plans. UB weights tonight. Hoping to continue to get lots done around the house. Why do preggos feel the need to have everything "perfect" in the months before the baby's due? It's all gonna get blown out of the water the minute the baby comes anyway!

Have a great morning!

Good morning
I did not get a chance to respond back to yesterday's threads. Work got really hectic and before i knew it, it was time to go home! Too funny about the 'what max i'll be doing tonite'
well..let me tell you..and sorry to disappoint..
when i got home we had dinner, then we went to the store real quick. we were both craving m&m's! So we get home and watch my favorite retro show on dvd - That Girl. My husband fell asleep by 830, so we went to bed 930. And that was it. I hated waking up. its nice and dark and cozy in the room. Bascially he got to sleep in becuase he has today off and I got to wake up in the dark. haha.

im feeling a little better today. i made myself eat yesterday even tho i felt funky.
hopefully i will be better for the road trip this weekend! I have lots of traveling ahead of me.

Melanie - congrats on the new job. Less hours is ok, you need to take it easy and some things are more important than work. DH and I worked our tails off in DC, six days a week. It really aged us and wore us out! This schedule down here is soooo much nicer. My old one was anyway! And you are welcome to keep posting here. You said you werent sure where you fit in, but you are always welcome here :)

Good morning to all who follow, hope everyone is feeling ok today!

Hey!
Kate-how was your date??

Stephanie-too funny about the whale comment! You had me rolling.

Maggie-HI..wont be long for you now!! Im so excited for you!

Melanie-this checkin isnt just for ttc/preggos..I look forward just coming here cathcing up with friends.it would NOT be the same without you here!

Anne-hope those temps go UP!

Jen1-nothing like a yucky poop to make ones day! My dd had the hardest time with the poop issue too. She would pee no prob but would not poop to save her life. She would literally hold it in for days. I felt so sorry for her. I guess pooping in the potty is a scarey thing. Anyway, finally one day I could tell she was miserable and put her on the potty. She cried and screamed but I made her sit there. In about 2 mintues she pooped and realized how easy it was and how much better she felt. AFter that she had no problem pooping on the potty.

Jen2-hope you are feeling better today!

Mikkia, Candra HI

Today is mammogram day..yippee yehaww cant wait. Actually its not bad at all..better than the butt probe I get tomorrow!!!!
I will also oranginze Haley's closet and see what she needs for school. I plan to do LIC this morning with light weights of course.

Kate, yay for date nite! Glad you had a nice time and learned something new. What do they teach you at birth class anyway? Is that lamaze? This is my first so I dont know anything about that.

My mom sent me a package yesterday. It had a handmade baby blanket (crochet) that she used for me and my brothers. Its white with blues, pinks, greens and yellows. Gender neutral.

My husband wants the sex to be a suprise, and i sort of want to know in advnace. Did you ladies find out first or do youlike being suprised? It just makes it hard to plan clothing and the nursery but i suppose there are some nice gender neutral things out there.

I have to look at a baby store. I registered onlien at Target but they dont have much in the store. I picked baby's r us too..but havent been there in person yet. Any other good places i'm missing that are not overly expensive? Im still trying to find fall flights to CT that i can afford for a shower!

Jen, Sounds like you and DH had a nice night together anyway! PLease keep a little food in your belly. I promise you'll feel better that way. A little white bread goes a long way. I really liked Nutrigrain waffles. Settled the tummy quite nicely! We did/do find out what we're having. I'm such a planner and have to have the room ready, clothes bought, etc. That's nice Mama made you a blanket! I've never registered for a baby shower, so I'm no help there. But if I did I would reg. at PotteryBarn KIds!!!

Susan, Enjoy your workOUT but not your workingOVER! Your poor boobs! How was YOUR max WO last night?!?!?

DDs are being ROTTEN this AM. Anybody have any pet wolves that need to be fed? I'd gladly offer my children as a meal!

LOL Kate, no pet wolves sorry :)
Im not sure if my mom made the blanket or not. It was either her or my grandma when me and my brothers were babies. So its RETRO. I loooooooove retro. I swear I was born in the wrong era! Maybe that's why i like That Girl so much - the outfits, the look, the ugly colors of the furniture lol...

Susan I hope your appointment goes well today. Does not sound like a lot of fun!

My next u/s is August 15th. They are testing for abnormalities like Downs. Lets pray my baby is healthy

Kate, waffles sound soooooooo good right about now. Yum! I havent had wafles in a long time

Jen, Your u/s will be GREAT! No worries! You are growing a healthy baby in there!
Now go eat a waffle!

Kate-my wo last night was quite nice:D Its nice having a week of not having to get dd to bed, and worry she'll get up..which happens alot! I don't think Im ovulating though...no real CM to speak of. Maybe today?? we'll see.
I just had one of Melanies muffins..YUM. Headed to workout!

Kate I WISH i had a waffle near by. Im at work tho. I just brought an apple, a yogurt and a soup today. But the soup doesnt sound appealing - too thick for my tummy today but maybe come lunch i'll feel like eating it.

Im making chicken pesto pizza tonite. its so good and easy. its a pesto base with cheese, olives, tomatos and chicken. Real easy and quite tasty!

I just realized my plane leaves at 640am on friday. Holy cow i need to be at the airport early. I wont even see my husband because he doesnt get home from work until 630am! Oh well. My dad is bringing me, i told him to sleep over since we have to get up at 0 dark 30.
I should be used to that! but its even earlier than i wake up for work! But it'll be worth it, right kate?? I'll land around 1030 in philly then maybe meet some RT people and have lunch before the meet n greet. Noone responded to my pregnant road tripper post, so i think i'll be the only pregger lady there.

Susan good luck with the CM :) Patience...its so hard! Hope you enjoyed your muffin!

I made it through LIC. My left tricep is a little stronger..but its so weird to try and do a tricep extention with a TWO pound weight and my arm just give out! Those nerves need to get on with it I tell ya!!!!! When I do biceps my arm feels totally normal, even some shouler ex are fine..but that tricep is a mess right now.

kate-I need a few things from the grocery and I don't want to go...can drop them by please!! I think I'll get dh to go with me tonight. I need to much and some heavy stuff(detergent etc) that I cannot lift yet.

jen-hope your soup sounds good for lunch! Is there a way to get something else if not??

Hi ladies,
I'm in a bit of a rush this morning getting ready for my doctor's appointment and trying to appease the boys and break up fights. I'm so edgy lately. Wish I was a nicer version of myself. I snapped at DH several times last night for silly stuff. Ugh. Oh well. Hoping it's not the beginning of the baby blues/ppd. I'll ask my doc today about it...

Kate--Glad date night went well!

Susan--Congrats on the workout! Your body will be back to normal in no time. You're so disciplined!

Jen--The baby blanket sounds so pretty! That was very sweet of your mom! I know she's excited. As for knowing the sex, we found out each time, but I wish I would have let my first child be a surprise. Then again, I enjoyed knowing because I felt like I "knew" them a little more when they were born.

I've got to run. I'll bbl. Hope everyone has a great day!! :)

Susan, dont overdo it! Your arm will heal with time im sure. Good job on the workout. Im not exercsing tonite either. DH is off and i barely see him anymore with my new schedule. He has this weekend off but of course i'll be away on the Road Trip.
Take it easy with that arm of yours.

Stephanie I hope your mood gets better. We all snap at our husbands at some point or another. Maybe you are just tired or stressed out, i'm sure it will pass :)

Stephanie-let us know how drs visit goes! I thought being edgy was just part of being a woman!! Sometimes I feel so mean, then all of a sudden its gone and Im nice again. Hormones!
Jenn I can't wait to hear about your RT. Be sure to make yourself eat every few hours to keep the nausea away and your energy up!

Hi. It is so freaking hot here- I am NOT going anywhere today, even the pool. I worry it's too hot for Mimi, even in the shade. Heat index is 111, actual temp around 100.

Jen2- I let #1 be a surprise, #2 we found out, #3 we were told girl, but it was a boy, so that was a surprise, and #4 we found out.

Stephanie- my kids are bickering CONSTANTLY and it is driving me crazy. School doesn't start until 8-25!

Susan- I assume it's hotter in heck for you too in Arkansas.

Yesterday I did Stepblast 1, 2, and 3 on 8 inch with full impact. No blast challenge. Feeling very close to being able to do full high impact and start running again. Saw my ob yesterday at his house and I have his blessing.

Hi everyone--

I'm going to try and sneak this in while they are all quiet and happily eating cereal provided by grandma--a kind I do not buy--too sugary and expensive. I had some and now I feel sick. I usually have eggs for breakfast--the protien suits me better.

+++++
Susan--but 2 lbs is an improvement--I remember you posting a couple weeks ago that you couldn't do any weight with your triceps--so don't be to hard on yourself--it will come. I'm supposed to have a mammogram, now that I'm 40. I'm dreading it.

Kate--LOL on the having to have everything "perfect" before the baby comes. This is how I'm feeling about next year's school. I want every science supply bought and organized in advance, I want every manipulative made, I want every thing photocopied and filed--all for the entire year! And the list goes on. I usually get a head start over the summer, but this year I'm determined to get the whole year done in advance. I'm like a mad woman and I know that my plan will crumble somewhat under reality.

JenM--We were surprised by the first 4 and then the pressure from my kids and mil became too intense and we've found out for the last 3. I really like not knowing. After the difficulties of labor, when the baby is out, to ask "boy or girl" and find out then is really special. I miss that.

Stephanie--I was the mom from hell for the first 6 months of pregnancy. I feel a bit more mellow now (although on Sunday night I lost it over the neighbor's bass--they did stop before bedtime, but still....) Hormones--aren't they fun?

Kristan--I hope you have AC at home to keep cool. Those temps sound hellish. It's supposed to be in the 90's today and I'm planning on turning on our ancient air conditioner that I try rarely to use. Congrats on the go ahead to workout to your fullest!

Melanie--I'm alway's glad to have you post. Congrats on the job, but sorry about the pay. I hope the bonus pay works out from your former employer. (((hugs))) and prayers.

Jen--don't worry--he will poop in the potty soon enough. You won't have to send him off to college with a package of diapers :p. (that's what I always told myself, anyway). Just to put it in perspective a bit: our child with downs still poops his pants at night and he's almost 7--90%potty trained, but I have no idea how long the last 10% will take. Your son will get it before he's 4 and it will be ancient news by the time he's 7.

Anne--It sounds hot where you are too. I'm praying that those temps spike!

Candra--my dh is an electrician--not self employed though. He works for a wonderful company and has a fantastic boss. We feel so blessed. I hope your son's chin is healing up well.

Mikki--It's hot where you are too. I hope you survive the tropical storm okay. Rain in any form sounds wonderful to me....but I've never been through a tropical storm or hurricane or monsoon or anything scary like that.

Hi Lisa! Hi Morris! Hi Danielle! Hi Trish!

Maggie:)
38 weeks, 1 day

susan, Hope your CM gets it in gear! Have you checked your cervical postition? Kinda gross I know but it always gives me peace of mind. I wish I COULD bring you groceries. Enjoy your "date" at the store tonight!

Jen, Are you staying at the Fairfield? I know you'll have so much fun! Wish I could come again! That's awfully nice of your dad to take you. Beware of Philly airport - awful place!

Stephanie, Sorry about the down mood. Must be in the air because DDs are about to drive me up a wall! THey have been ROTTEN all day long. Nap soon! Hope your appt goes well. (((hugs))) Do you get to go alone?

Kristan, WOW! You're amazing! Good for you and your workouts! When are you fitting them in? I'm a bit ocnverned about that when baby comes but I know it will eventually work itself out.

Maggie, I cannot imagine what your weekly grocery bill must be! I'm dreading buying diapers again. Thinking about cloth but DH is totally against it. And if I want him to help change them...or anybody else....I'll likely do the disposable route. sigh....... Hope you all have a good day. ANy school prep today?

Looking forward to DDs taking a nap and hopefully I can get some things done. I *REALLY* hope they're in a better mood after naps!

Hey!
Mammogram done and now I'm all worried. On my way home I strated thinking...should I of even had a mammogram while ttc. Could the radiation nuke my egg??? Seriously! So now Im thinking do I use b/c and try next month. Why do I get myself into these situations!

Maggie-you are so right about my arm. It will just take time. Thank you! Mammograms are not bad at all. Just a little pressure, no pain. And you do NOT look near 40!

Kate-hope your dd's take a good nap for you.

Im off to fold laundry..yuck!

Susan, Call the office and ask. I'm surprised they wouldn't give you a lead apron regardless of ttc or not. Enjoy your laundry - I've got that on schedule too.

Isabel napped. Gina layed down and looked at books. I read some birthing stuff. Hopefully Gina benefits from the rest and has a better attitude! I think I'll go bake and clean the kitchen....
