TTC/Preggers Check-In March 2

Can you guys believe it's March already? Anyway, I thought I'd get us started on a new thread.

Maggie - Hi there! I do hope you start feeling normal again. Hopefully soon since you're already in your 2nd trimester.

Morris - I'm so sorry to hear about your parents. Wow, 39 years. I hope they're able to work it out being they have been together for so long. I will say a prayer for them. I didn't realize there were 5 of you. Do you want that many kids also? I didn't do Drill Max yesterday, just went for a walk because I wasn't feeling so hot. I am planning on Drill Max after I get off this computer.

Hi everyone else! I ended up with 4 workouts last week. Much more mellow because of my fatigue and evening blahs. I might just have to work out in the mornings if the evening blahs continue which will be a big adjustment for me. What is everyone's Sunday plans today?

Lisa

Hey Lisa - Thanks for starting us off this week! 4 workouts is great! Thanks again for sending me your chart Lisa, it must've rubbed off on me b/c I received a BFP this morning! I woke up and used an online cheapie and went back to bed. Got up 1 1/2 hours later and saw a really faint line, figuring it was an evaporation line. Then I went to church and came back with a First Response with a + BFP !!!!!!

Like you Lisa, I'm just really nervous. I've never been able to get past 8 weeks before with my other 2 pregnancies, so I just have to pray this might be the one and that it gets my 'good' chromosomes. If you have any prayers, please send them my way.

I got in Cardio Kicks in yesterday, Imax 2 Friday and GS Leg Thursday and will go for a walk today, a balmy 45 degrees already in Iowa today.

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend so far.

Yes Anne!!!!!!!!!!!! I KNEW it would happen to you. I'm so excited for you and DH. :D :D You and your wee-one are in our prayers.

Is there anyone left out there that is TTC stage? Maybe you can call it the Preggos Check In now?! ;) Autumn & I will have to come back over here soon. ;)

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday!

Lisa, Sending you awesome workout vibes for DrillMax~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~.

Anne, I'm sorry but what is a +BFP?! Sounds like its good news!

Feeling okay right now. I may go do Classical Stretch. Wishing I felt good enough for a sweaty workout. Eating has been a little better today. bbl..

Anne, I think Melanie cleared it up - CONGRATS!!!!!!!! I'm actually still not sure what BFP stands for but it sounds like you are preg. I hope this is a healthy, full-term pregnancy for you and may you not be plagued with any of this wicked nausea!!

Anne - I am over the moon for you!!! I got your email and looked at your chart and was thinking that it looked possible that you could be pg, and I am soooooo glad you are!!!! Definitely prayers are being sent your way. We must be really close in due dates!!! Are you going to the ob asap to make sure every step is taken to help you? CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! I am sooooo thrilled I could cry!!!!

Melanie - I think you're next!

Kate - Thanks for the vibes because my Drill Max workout went really well!

I think we're taking the kiddies to the beach today. I feel so good that I got my workout done in the morning! Qx for you preggers - did you lower your weights while pg? How light do you have to lower it? I'm assuming 15lb bicep curls are not the smartest thing to do?

Lisa

Thank you , Melanie!

Lisa, Glad DM went well! Where do you live that you get to go to the BEACH!? I'm jealous! DH just took DDs outside to play in the snow. When I lifted last week I used a 20 lb. dumbbell for concentration curls and 15s for standard curls.

I had a nap and I'm not sure if they are helping or hurting. I wake up so disoriented that I'm questioning if I should be taking one at all. I feel like having another crying jag. Yuck!

anne, i am screaming i am so excited - dh just asked what was up and i said you wre pregnant. he thinks i am losing it!!! i am sending baby stickies your way.

lisa, so glad you are feeling better and got a fun workout in. funny how you might have to switch to am workouts - i have had a few days where i have done afternoon workouts b/c of lack of morning energy.

kate, naps are good, and crying is good to i have decided. lots of tears here this weekend.

also, lisa, i have not modified weights at all, but do what feels comfortable. i tend to match or exceed cathe.

well, i feel better after my weight work but am pretty sad overall about my family. i do not want 5 children - 2 sounds good, but i may decide i want to try again. i doubt i will ever do hormones again, though.

anyways, so glad to hear the good news. bbl

Ladies - Thank you all for your support. I'll definitely need it these next few months. I know I may m/c, but hoping I can beat these crappy odds. One day at a time.

Lisa - Yes, I'll be getting a Beta test tomorrow and they'll put me on Progesterone, just in case the other m/c had to do with a weak lining, but most likely it was my chromosomes that caused them. According to FF, my due date would be 11/10/07, when is yours? Are you feeling better these days!

Kate, thanks for the congrats! Sorry the naps aren't helping you that much, but I'm sure it's still good for you!

Hi Melanie! Anything new with you?

Morris - You're so sweet. It's certainly been a long journey, but I'm hoping it turns out well. Thanks for the stickie vibes! I'm really sorry about your parents too. 39 years is a long time, such a shame. Sending some prayers your way.

I know my Twin sister is getting divorced after 17 years and I could swear they'd be one couple to hit the 50 year anniversary mark. I think they just got married too young and my sister never had time to be independent. It's really sad, but they're getting through it. They just put the house up for sale, so it's becoming more and more real now. Funny how it so affects everyone around them. Hang in there...

Hi to anyone else I missed.

Yeah Anne!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited for you, and I will keep you in my prayers.
Kate, I am all about the crying jags...we had family here to visit today, and all I wanted to do was cry, but I was strong.

We are having our hardwood floors refinished tomorrow. We had to take all the carpet up and remove the tacks (well, not me ,but DH and BIL). The dining room floor is in horrible shape, so I hope the floor guy doesn't add a lot of $$ to the final bill! Our house is a mess since we had to move all the furniture out of the living and dining rooms. I am sure the end result will be great, though.

Morris-I am sorry to hear about your parents.

I did not do a specific workout today, but I did take 2 walks with DS and pulled him around the block in his wagon. I also went up and down the stairs about 100 times, carrying light stuff out of the living and dining rooms.

I have to run, DS is about to do something naughty}( .

Anne--Big congratulations--I'll put you in my prayers!

Morris--I'm really sorry to hear about your parents. Does it look like the marraige is over or is it possibly salvagable with counseling? Is this out of the blue for you or were you expecting it? I think that divorce is always hard on families, even if it makes sense to split.

Kate--I do so feel your pain. Morning (all day) sickness sucks. I think it's worse than labor pain. I'd rather walk on nails than be nauseaus. I've also been sort of an emotional wreck. How far along are you now?

Jen--our hardwood floors could stand to be done also, but it sounds like such a big, huge job I just can't deal with the upheaval, much less the cost right now. But I'll bet they'll be beautiful when they are finished--enjoy!

Hi Melanie--I've been lurking on the toddler thread, but haven't posted yet--I'll just sum it up in one phrase "small, cute and full of sin"

Lisa--I don't lower my weights while pregnant, except maybe deadlifts as my belly gets bigger and my lower back pain increases. I do all work on my back on an incline, however, and I find I must significantly modify my cardio.

Hi Autumn! Hi Kristan! I hope I didn't forget anyone.

My workouts last week:
40 min bike, 40 min treadmill
The Viper
40 min bike, 40 min treadmill
LIS/TBC circuit premix

tweaked my knee and couldn't finish the week. I wasn't even working out, just walking. It's all inflamed now and I have very little range of motion. This has happened before. I'll probably take a rest week from leg work and cardio and only work upper body. What choice do I have? Grrrrr.....

I'm really excited because I get to be part of a free pilot program for those homeschooling young kids with down syndrome. I was in kind of a panic about Malcolm's schooling next year, but the Lord provided. I know I'll be tweaking it quite a bit to fit his individual needs, but at least I have something to go off of now.

Well, take care, everyone!

Maggie
15 weeks, 6 days

Morris, I just read y'days post about your parents. Hopefully they can pull it together. Hang in there.

Anne, I hope everything goes well at the drs for you. I can't imagine the worry. Are you telling anyone yet?
Sorry about your sis. SIL was going to leave BIL last year after 2 years of marriage and 1 baby. Miraculously they've pulled it together. They got preg w/ #2 immediately and she is a newborn now. Hopefully things are well with them. But it did tear up the entire family as we all are very close. Total shocker.

Jen - You DID get a w/o today, girl! Exciting news about the floors. I love remodeling and redecorating!!

Maggie, I'm a measly 7 weeks. Looking forward to getting past the 1st trimester. A lot. Really bad. :)
Good w/os last week. Hope the knee heals up and you get some good UB in.
Hope the h/school program works well for you and your DS. Sounds like a great opportunity.

I am SO EXCITED to report that I am going to be going to an all-natural birthing center to have this baby!!! I'd always been curious but I love my NP so much. Well, since she is leaving I am too. This place sounds absolutely wonderful - no ivs, Vitamin K shot, we make all the decisions, this is going to be great. Umbulical cord stays put til its time. No whisking off for a bath in the first 2 minutes, no bright lights. No pressure to do anything. The website is www.greenhousebirthcenter.com, if you want to check it out. Each ob appt lasts 1 hr!! This is gonna be great!

AND AND AND!
I got to workout tonight!!!
I did a premix from 4DS - HIS circuit. So good to feel good!

Hope you all have a great night!

Monday, Monday!

I am happy to report that I did NOT need food in bed before I got up today!!!!
Maybe I'm getting past the worst of it!

Have a great day!

ladies, thank you all for the support. it is so very very sad to me, but i am feeling better today with a bit of distance. the separation is out of the blue in that they have been together so long and firmly believe in marriage, fidelity, working together. every couple knows how hard marriage can be, and raising 5 kids has had its challenges. i think my father wants something different from the way my mother is living her life, but i think my mother views anyone who doesn't accept how she lives as not accepting her. i think they are still open to counseling, but are firmly separated for now. so hard to not take sides, but i am really really trying.

kate, glad you feel good today and worked out yesterday.

maggie, great workouts last week - what kind of bike do you have?

jen, you definately worked out. hope the home chaos is done soon.

hi lisa - hope you feel less nauseous.

anne, keep us posted with the testing.

well, i did another 10 miler this am and am so happy i can still run. i ran out of time for abs, but i may get a lunch break. yesterday we all spent a lot of time out in the snow. ds was so funny - and amggie, i definately agree with your discription of toddlers!

Morris, (((big hug))) It would be hard to not take sides. My folks are divorced, but thankfully I was too young to remember most of it. Glad you got a good run in - I'm jealous! I hope I feel good enough for a w/o tonight.

Hi everyone. We had a nice weekend. Had a date on Friday- art museum, then a cocktail party at my son's daycare, then out to dinner to a wonderful restaurant. It was nice, and my husband could get tipsy since I was driving. I got a lot accomplished this weekend: washed bedding, coats, towels; operated the brownie cookie booth, went to mass with the girls, hosted a playdate, raked the debris from a couple of my flower beds, visited the park, etc. Didn't work out much though!

Lisa- glad you could watch the HGTV spot. It was weird to see myself on TV.

Anne- so happy for you!

Morris- the HGTV will repeat later this month. I will remind you. You're inspirational. I am planning a run this afternoon (only 5 miles). if you can run 10, I can run 5.

Maggie- glad the homeschool is working for Malcolm. I live in a very urban area and there are a surprising number of homeschoolers. Many of them play on my daughters' parochial sports teams. I am glad so they want to live in our neighborhoods to help our areas thrive.

Kate- glad you like your new facility. I am seeing my new dr. tomorrow, although I've known him forever.

Here was my week- only 4 days; that seems to be the best I can do right now:

Tuesday- 4 mile run
Weds- Amy Cardio Pump Hi/lo; then went through ASC2 combo 1-5 twice; still standing there flatfooted in section 5.
Friday- 4 mile walk/run plus B+G floor
Saturday- Step Heat

Take care. I am almost 23 weeks. I am a little freaked out the third trimester is just around the corner. I broke down and bought maternity jeans (my first pair; my other kids were all born in late summer/early fall so I never needed them).

Kristan, Busy weekend! I bet you're half-glad the weekend is over! Hope you get your run in. Have a great appt tomorrow! Yay - new maternity clothes! You're in the final stretch (literally!) - how exciting!

I've felt pretty well today. Eating has been decent and I'm hoping to a LB circuit - maybe the DM one. I bought a bosu today and I'm hoping to use that tonight.

Everybody having a good day?

Kate--hang in there--time passes, time passes, time passes, yeah but when you feel lousy, it passes so slooooowwwwww. I'm interested in the bosu--is it easier on your body or does the wobble factor make it harder?

Morris--we got a cheap stationary bike about 5 years ago and never expected it to last so long. When it dies, I would really like to invest in a spinning bike, because that sounds more versatile. It sounds really hard with your parents--not taking sides and all. I'm sorry you all have to go through this.

Kristan--23 weeks sounds wonderful. You are getting closer. Enjoy those maternity jeans. ("Thank you for the pregnancy pants. Never have I known such comfort"--The Simpson's Movie:p :p)

take care all
Maggie:)
