Hi ladies! Thought I'd start the new thread since it's been awhile that I did. (So relax and enjoy your day Morris!)

Morris - I'm so sorry that you're feeling down and emotional. At least DH gets home tonight! Wow, 4mos already? Good luck with your screening and u/s. Please keep us posted! BTW, I'm still amazed at your stamina and will to workout so hard! I've been pretty emotional too lately and not sure why. I don't think I'll do clomid because I'm just not at that point yet where I feel like I want to take that route. I don't know if it's because this would be my 4th pg and our 3rd child or if I'm just hoping it'll happen on it's own.

Melanie - I opted out of my "triple" screen with my first pg because my ob at the time told me the same thing you mentioned. She said it was my first pg and I was young and healthy so just wait until the u/s because of the high rates of false positives. I did do it with my second pg because my ob just did it and I was just like okay whatever. Mine turned out okay, but I have friends who went through few weeks of distress because of false positives which ended up being just that, false. Now it's a "quad" screen and I don't even know what the extra screening is for. It's been awhile for me since I was last pg, lol. Sorry the clomid took a toll on you. Who knew hormones could be so evil!

Jen - I hope you're feeling better!

Anne - Any news?

Hi Kristan, Autumn, Susan!

I worked out 4x last week. I was going for five, but ended up spending unexpected time with family. I'm going for a run today and then some weights later tonight. Eating has been better, but then I still have to cut out the junk here and there. Chocolate covered gummy bears grossed me out before, but now I just want to keep eating them!

Have a great Sunday everyone!

Lisa

Hey Lisa - Thanks for starting the thread! Well, I'm on CD30 and just wishing AF would show and be done with it. Temp is below the coverline, so should show tomorrow. My cycles range from 26 - 30, so this must be a long one. May think about giving temping a break this next month and no monitor either. We'll see...kind of stressed about my sister lately. She's finally decided to file papers for divorce after 17 years of marriage, so I'm worried about how the girls will take it and what will happen to them. They're teen agers...So, I'm a little bummed to say the least.

Nice job working out last week Lisa! I caved and had some coffee the last couple of days and ate almost a whole box of double stuff oreos. Guess I eat when I'm stressed.

Back on the wagon and going to workout here soon. I think I'll do Cathe's Low impact workout today.

Melanie - Sorry the Clomid made you crazy. I think I'm going to skip taking it until we decide to start our IUI's. DH has his consult in a few weeks, so we shall see.

Morris - How are you feeling lately. Fatigue setting in yet? Do you have an u/s soon? Will you find out what you're having?

Hi Autumn, Jen, Susan!
Chat later,

good morning everyone - happy monday! i am glad to report dh did get home late last night. while i am especially sleep-deprived today, i am so glad he is back safe and sound;-)

i had no idea about the false positives with the quad screen. we had it with ds simply b/c that is the protocol my dr's office followed. when it came back fine, i really did not dwell on it. i will probably go thru with it this time, just b/c it is what they do, but will certainly keep in mind with the results the fact things can be false. one of the things i love about this board is getting such great info!

lisa, great job with the workouts. what is the temp outside these days?

anne, i am sorry af seems upon you. i will still keep my fingers crossed though.

mel, hope your week goes well. hi jen - hope you are feeling better.

hi kristan - how are you?

well, i enjoyed a nice run outside this morning - it was a balmy 28 degrees!!! very unusal this time of year, but i will take it. i feel great other than this persistent dull throbbing in my belly. it doesn't happen all the time (like not at all when i ran today), but last night and now at work, it is persistent. perhaps just growing pain.

I'm doing the January rotation! Anyone in? I've never done those before. I'm actually starting with week 1 even though we're past it. I know I have all of those dvd's. I'll have to improvise on a few weeks, if I don't have the exact one. We'll see how it goes! AF arrived yesterday as I expected. Trying to eat clean again...

Anne

Hi everyone! It's nice to be back home. DH is going to for surgery 1st Wed of Feb. We'll have to go in stages, and hopefully he won't need a full transplant.

Anne, sorry about AF. :( I can't do a rotation now with my schedule, sorry!

I did Tracey's Step Mix 2 yesterday and I really liked it. The audio wasn't as good as Cathe's, but it was a no no-nonsense interval workout.

Morris, I sometimes had side aches in my pg's, but nothing that lasted. Has it gotten better?

Lisa, any more thoughts on Clomid?

Anxious to get Taking Your Charge of Your Fertility book,...it's in the mail. I'll probably read it front to back IMMEDIATELY!!!! :)

Hi to everyone else too! Check back later

Hi ladies! Hope all is well.

Lisa, how did you get started eating chocolate covered gummies?

Melanie, I will keep your DH in my prayers.

Anne, sorry about AF. I've never folllowed one of Cathe's rotations. I look forward to reading your results. I am lurking on the 12 week challenge. I am following the eating advice of one of the forum members..... she was nice enough to share a bunch of advice that I've never followed. Soooo, I am implementing her suggestions. My eating is my issue. Anyhoo, I need to decide on a workout rotation over the next 12 weeks. Not sure I can stick with BFL workouts X12 weeks.

Morris, you are amazing to get out there and run in 28 degree weather. I'm a big weenie.

I have big news regarding 3 1/2 y/o DS..... he is now potty trained. It was so easy ladies. It took 1/2 a day. We are very happy.

Well ladies, we are no longer TTC..... not avoding but not actively TTC. So, I guess I'll be leaving y'all. I'll stop by and visit though.

Autumn,

I understand about not TTC. It's so discouraging! Urgh! Will you give up indefinitely, or just for a season? You BETTER still visit us. You have such great advice, and being a "expert" in CM and such. ;)

Chocolate coveried gummies sound GROSS!!!!!!!

Hi Melanie!

We are stopping for now. Since we aren't avoiding, we will still be using days of fertility. KWIM? }(

I will visit and thank you for the kind words.

Autumn

autumn, you will be missed!! please keep us all posted.

melanie, great to hear about your husband's upcoming mayo visit and surgery. hope things go well. how is work these days? hope you are enjoying some unusual warmth too (ie not -10)! my tugging in the belly is still there, but not so bad as this morning. i am hoping to go home for a nap!!

Unseasonally warm here in MN, it was 40 degrees yesterday!!!! Yahoo!! DH cleared out an iceskating rink right on the river outside our house. Can't wait to try it!

Autumn- be sure to stop by; I'll still think of you during my drives to Farmington.

Morris- 28 is chilly; it's such a hassle to get dressed to run in the cold. Today is 70 here and I am about to go for a 4 mile run. Very excited because I haven't run outside in a while.

I did ok last week with workouts- 2 4 mile runs, a trip to the gym, buts 'n' guts, and part of bootcamp.

I can tell I am going to starting gaining some weight- I am really hungry all the time. I usually start putting on weight now, then I freak out, then my weight gain slows down to almost nothing at 25 weeks. I usually gain 30 pounds during pregnancy, the most stubborn of which are 7 pounds which WILL NOT come off until I finish breastfeeding.

I am 14+ weeks and finding certain clothes will not fit any longer, especially pencil skirts and some jeans. I bought some cute "forgiving" tops this past week. Hoping those will get me through another month or so.

I am having the Mardi Gras party- and I need to get our invite list down. Right now it is at 80 (couples). I feel so guilty leaving people off the list.

I am thinking of those of you frustrated right now.

I always thought chocolate covered gummies were grosser than gross, but a customer gave some to us over Xmas and one of the guys put it in the refrigerator and they tasted awesome! Okay, so that's how it started.

Autumn - Please stop by and visit! You will sorely be missed!

Morris - It's hot today, but chilly at times. Chilly for us is in the 60's.

Anne - I was thinking of doing Jan. rotation also. I'm a week behind so today is IMAX2 day I believe.

Melanie - No clomid for me yet. We'll see. Hope DH surgery at the end is very successful..

Hi Kristan, Jen!

I better get going. Gotta take ds to basketball practice!

Lisa

Anne, when is DH's consult?

Congrats also on potty training,...if you wait long enough those guys pretty much potty train themselves, eh?

Lisa, what type of surgery is DH having? I must have missed it along the way,...I'm sorry if you posted already.

Nina, I got it!!!! Thanks so much for promptly shipping. I was only able to briefly browse through it (although I wanted to devour it). :D

I was referring to: DH - Jan 2008 surgical consult to fix veriocele on Anne's signature. Is DHs consult still scheduled for this month?

This is on the Anne's signature:

Anne
TTC #1 since 04/06
06/06 - M/C (8 weeks)
06/07 - M/C (7 weeks)
Me - Balanced Translocation/Genetics causing m/c
DH - Low count/variocele
Me - On Clomid and start IUI in 2008
DH - Jan 2008 surgical consult to fix veriocele

It says that DH--Jan 2008 surgical consult.... I was just wondering if Anne's DH was still doing consult?

Maybe I'm reading things wrong! LOL. Where's Anne? She'll have to set us straight. :D :D

Melanie - I think Anne's DH is getting surgery to correct the problem that is causing his low sperm count if I'm not mistaken. Sound familiar? Anne, correct me if I'm wrong! I'm not sure if they're still going through with it or not. So how is the book going?
