Good Sunday ladies!! We sure had a busy thread last week! I hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I just wanted to get us started for the week.

Morris - I think I'll go ahead and get CTX. I tend to get dvds and use them a lot when I first get them then I let them collect dust. The only ones I keep going back to is the set of BM2,B&G,LIC, Drill Max, and the GS Series. I even notice I had to remind myself that I have the 4DS to utilize! I agree with you about the STS and the equipment. I don't want to get the dvds then realize I can't do half the stuff due to lack of equipment. Do you have Bootcamp/Muscle Endurance? I'm thinking of that one also. LOL about your support hose!

Hi Anne! How did DH's shoulder surgery go?

Hi everyone else! I know I'm missing a bunch, but I have to feed my kids' breakfast and get the day started. It's so easy to get stuck in front of the computer.

Lisa

Lisa! Big congratulations!!!! I am so excited for you. I'll keep you in my prayers. That is soooo exciting. (((hugs)))

Morris--I am getting overwhelmed at what I'm going to need to purchase to do STS effectively--namely 35 and 40lb dumbells and platemates or those other things that gradually bring up the amount of weight--can't remember what they are called. We do have really heavy weights and a smith machine in the garage, so I'll have to get a portable dvd player to take out there. I'm sort of glad I'll have to wait to do the series as it will give me more time to buy the stuff. I hope to find it used. Oh and I'd like the slanted risers too.

Kristan--my son is a boy scout and popcorn time is always hard around here--I feel your pain.

Kate--my husband prefers my strong and curvy 6/8 body over some size 0 any old day of the week, not that I'd ever get there anyway. Stay strong and fit! And why do people feel so compelled to compare anyway? It is unspeakably rude to me.

Jen--homemade ravioli....mmmmmmm.....sounds good to me right now. Do you have a taste for it or does your nausea make it sound gross? Early on in this pregnancy I could not do any sort of red sauce, but that is gone now. Or do you put it in red sauce? I suppose you could have them with some other sauce or plain....okay, I'm rambling.

Hi Melanie! Hi Autumn! Hi Anne!
(hope I didn't miss anyone--not intentional)

My nausea is much better and I can go longer between meals, which will hopefully be better for my waistline. I had done really well with weight gain at first, but then all that changed when the cravings shifted into majorly unhealthy territory. I can eat pretty much anything now without gagging (except coffee and chocolate--which I normally LOVE), so I'm eating lots of fruits and vegetables and lean protien sources. I hope I can keep it up.

My workouts last week:
2 40 min sessions on stationary bike
4DS HIS circuit premix--first time doing this premix--liked it
40 min sessions on stationary bike,40 min treadmill
MM
Amy Bento ASC2
Power circuit+LL

I got some new maternity clothes and I got my hair done, so I'm feelin' pretty cute, chubby but cute.

Maggie:)

Lisa~~

Just a quick note to send my congrats to Lisa! Yahoo!! I can't believe I missed your post. I"m so glad it happened to YOU. Yahoo. It's a good thing you hadn't given up. ;)

I've been less compulsive about checking the forum. Joined the Toddlers check in. We've had a few lookers at our house for sale, hoping (and praying) for an early Spring sale,...so we can possibly TTC again. It seems like it's a real fertile time,...many many preggos.

Have a great week ladies.

Lisa, I'm thinking about getting CTX too. Resistance is futile!

Maggie, Glad the nausea is going away. Good job w/. the WO's. I have felt so lousy all week and can't wait to feel better to I can ramp it up again. I was so hopeful that I would feel great. oh well! I got a bunch of mat. clothes in the mail today. Grow tummy, grow!!!!!

Melanie, Good luck with the house sale.

I've been so sick all day. So I ordered Pizza Hut for the fam. And it actually smelled so good. So.... I ate a bunch. Normally I don't touch pizza with a 10 foot pole but somehting about it tonight. Wow!

I need to get the Indians ready for bed. Have a relaxing Sunday night!

lisa, you are right about trying new dvds then collecting dust. i haven't done 4ds weight work in ages until today - forgot how fun it is. definately get ctx. and i love bootcamp/me. i often do the bootcamp cardio premix only on a kb day.

kate, the hose are really constricting and do go up my belly. they seem to help though. gosh i miss cute lace thighhighs. glad you had a good weekend.

jen, hope you are feeling good.

maggie, you sound good and cheerful. i did not know boy scouts sold popcorn. great workouts.

i don't remeber all my workouts from the week, but it was everyday, and i did a lot of running, imax 3, a little 4 ds cardio, kpc, and ctx weights. this week is 4ds weights, so i hope i can still manage that.

take care everyone

Morris, Good for you and your workouts!!!
I can't wait until I'm feeling good again so I can get back at it.
I love to follow rotations but with as awful as I've been feeling I'll just have to do whatever, whenever.
I wish I could just puke for goodness sake! Does that make sense??

Melanie - Hi!!!! I so miss you and I go over and lurk on the toddlers forum just to see what's been going on with you! Thank you for the congrats! I'm praying your house sells and you'll get a nice BFP surprise this year also! Congrats to you on your weight loss, way to go!

Kate - Looks like the morning sickness monster has found you. Do you do the Cathe rotations?

Maggie - Wow, you were able to pull off ASC2 and pg! Glad you're starting to have longer stretches of feeling good. All this talk of STS is making me really want to look into it, but I know it will be a big investment and I want to make sure I will stick with it. I workout with a portable DVD player in our makeshift "workout" room.

Morris - How far along are you now? You're amazing to be able to still do IMAX3!

Hi everyone else! I just got through doing 4DS LIS. I like working shoulders! I haven't done 4DS in awhile and when I do pick it up, it's always HIS or Bootcamp. I think I'll do the Kickboxing segment tomorrow.

Lisa

good morning everyone

kate, is this pregnancy worse than last time with the sickness? hope the pizza held you over okay.

lisa, i like lis too from the 4ds but i do not do it enough. truly, not much difference in intensity from his i don't think. i love that shoulder work.

melanie, please keep us posted on the house. my fingers are crossed for you.

hi anne, kristan, jen, maggie, and autumn.

well, i dragged myself out of bed for a run. i had 1 mile left when ds woke. dh worked all weekend, so i know he thought it was his turn to sleep in so i cut my workout short. on my days off, though, i still got up with ds, b/c dh had to go to work. not fair, and i was mad b/c my run felt so good and i knew i could do 10 mil. oh well, 9 is fine, and i got extra time with ds before school. just frustrating sometimes the way the households work.

i'll bbl

Lisa, I do follow Cathe's rotations. Can't argue with results! I love all of the 4DS too.

Morris, This sickness seems worse than the others. With the others I could at lesat throw up then I'd feel better. This time I'm just queasy all. day. long. Yuck. Good for you getting your run in - and that was VERY nice of you to let DH sleep! I understand what you said COMPLETELY!!!

Doing my best to eat small frequent meals. Not sure about a workout - if I get a break from this nausea I'm runnin' for my step!!

Have a great day!

Lisa- many congratulations to you. Maggie- very nice workouts; I am envious.

I agree about LIS and HIS from 4ds; both seem equally intense. I love the circuit premixes, especially LIS.

My last week was decent, but I am having trouble getting in 5 days a week. I did

Tues: 2 mile run at the gym, then used the lower body equipment and did Supersets core.

Weds: 45 minutes on AMT machine, then my own upperbody mix from 4ds

Fri: CTX all step and leaner legs

Sun: 3.5 mile run plus Brand New Butt Pilates (*my husband loves looking at Janis Saffell- he keeps me company when I am working out to her!)

I am switching OB's to my husband's friend. He said that if I was uncomfortable later, I could switch to another OB (the OB of his wife).

I am finding running more comfortable than walking. Walking gives me the worst round ligament pain.

Kristan, Funny on Janis!!! Hope the new OB works out for you. I get to go on Wednesday. Actually, I'll be seeing my NP. I totally love her - its like getting to go visit with a friend. I wish she could deliver my babies!

Well, my preggo friends, I am proud to day that my nausea left late this afternoon. Ran some errands with DDs, got supper on, ANDAND AND... I got to workout!!!! I did LIS Circuit from 4DS. Felt so good to workout. I'm so excited. Now I need to go do paperwork though. yuck. Only a few more months and I get to quit!!! yay!

Morris - I totally understand what you were trying to say regarding the situation with DH.

Kate - Yay for a good day with no nausea! I've been feeling pretty good except for some fatigue, but I don't want to get my hopes up too high because I know I didn't really get it too bad with my other pgs, but I know later on sometimes it hits at night. So far so good though.

Kristan - Hope it works out well with your new ob. How far along are you now?

I have my first ob appt on Thursday just to confirm the pg then I have an appt for hopefully everything including an u/s on March 20. I have my lip surgery next week Friday which my ob office and the plastic surgeon's office said would be fine even if I'm pregnant since it's just a local anesthesia. I was going to workout tonight, but I'll see. I feel so pooped.

Lisa

good morning everyone. well, i had the hardest times getting out of bed then had a fantastic workout. i felt so...not pregnant after - just energetic and relaxed. i did asc2 and blast only from imax 2. i was going to do imax 3 but i couldn't face all the jumping:)

kristan, great workouts from last week. glad you are switching ob's. when is your first appointment with the new doc?

kate, so glad the nausea was better. maybe you are turning the corner?

jen, how are things?

lisa, i think that is interesting you felt good with both pregnancies - no major difference even though you have one boy and one girl? keep us posted after your dr appointment.

hi maggie, hi jen.

today is a day off from work, but we have a meeting at lunch. oh well. i will bbl

I am seeing Dr. next Tuesday. One thing I know for sure- he'll let me run and do high impact as long as I want. His specialty is exercise/pregnancy. I feel good about my decision.

I desperately want to run on the treadmill today after work before I pick up the kids. I need to focus today and get my work done so I can leave early.

Lisa, The first week I knew I was PG I felt great. Yeah, that's over!! I can't believe the nausea I'm experiencing. It's unreal. I wish I could throw up but nothing will come. Yuck. Hope the dr appt and lip surgery goes well.

Morris, Glad you had a good WO. I hope I feel good tonight to do one too.

Kristan, Nice the doc is okay w/ exercise!! He's a keeper!

I worked at Isabel's preschool this morning. I was so nauseated the whole time. I really am so anxious to get to my 2nd trimester!! I felt terrible making lunch and fed DDs literally every possible little scrap of leftovers. Buffet I guess! They all might be having pancakes for dinner!!

Hi guys! I just wanted to drop in and say hello.

Morris - I'm glad you were able to get a good workout in today.

Kristan - Wow, that's a pretty liberal doctor you have. I'm glad he fits your needs. I always wondered why some drs. are on such different ends of the spectrum when it comes to pg and types of excercise.

Kate - Sorry the nausea found you today. I'm feeling pretty good so far, but like you said, sometimes it might take awhile for the nausea to find you. I've done pretty well with my other pgs so I hope this one is the same also.

Gotta go feed my kids. Planning on working out after the kids are in bed.

Lisa

good morning everyone

lisa, what workout did you do?

kate, how are you feeling?

kristan, i am going to send all my fitness related questions to you to ask your new doc - mine doesn't mind me exercising, but doesn't really get it either.

i am so mad at myself. i am at work now and couldn't get out of bed this morning. i know i will not workout tonight, but i may be able to do something after work before i pick ds up. i just hate taking that time from him, but darnit, i need a little me time too! i hate guilt!!

dh and i went out for a belated valentines dinner last night. i had the most delicious piece of salmon. dh ordered a choclate peanut butter cake thing for dessert:( i had 2 bites, and i bet that is why i had trouble sleeping last night! i need to clean up my act today....

have a good one everyone

Lisa- it's actually kind of funny- my first ob that delivered child #1 was about 70 and very old school- and he thought it was fine to run too. In fact, he didn't care if I ate sushi or have a beer or really care what I did.

kristan, what does your ob think of ab work? i am wondering if i am wasting my time still doing it 3 times a week.... too funny baout your first ob. was that with your c section? how was your run yesterday? one reason i hate running in the afternoon is i have too go to the bathroom so much more - my bladder is pretty sensitive these days:)
