Good morning!

NO PLANS for today and it's supposed to be rainy, so no pool. Need to find something to keep little ones busy! I'm sure they would LOVE to help me organize the linen closet!:p

Jen, Sounds like a productive week! Good job on starting the room! I’m waiting til the last possible minute to do ours - I’m losing my scrap booking room and pretty bummed about it. So DH is a teacher too? Hope he gets feeling better. MY DH is a HUGE BABY when he’s sick! LOL! I leave the house and find a bunch of "errands" to do. Great WO’s! I unfortunately am not doing any ab work. Too scared of making the split worse. 6 more weeks and I’ll be on RT so I’ll pick Cathe’s brain then!

Moring Ladies,
Glad to read that you all are doing well!!!!
Mikkia, great news. Hang in there and try not to worry.

I have a question for those who have suffered a m/c. Until 2 days ago my bleeding was very light, more like heavy spotting. Now its very heavy and non-stop. I am assumimg my levels finally took a nose dive. My dr says since my numbers never got too high that I won't need a d/c..I saw her on Tuesday. I was wondering how long heavy bleeding was experienced and is "normal". I never even have periods this heavy for this long. It's quite scary.
Susan

Oh Susan, I am so sorry. I have never experienced this so I don't know what to tell you. I'm sure someone here can help you.

(((HUGS))

Hey Kate,
Thanks! Im sure someone here has some advice. I read this morning that over 1/2 of pregnancies of moms over 40 end in m/c. That is not good odds for me. Im giving it one more try though
What are you and the girls going to do today? Im sure dd will want to swim and I hope Im up for it. DD loves to do crafts and cook so its pretty easy to keep her busy. And she is into playing dr/dentist so I am a patient a lot! And she is still very into her baby dolls, so she is always drssing them or something.
I made Melanies muffins yesterday...dd and dh love them!! I plan on having one for breakfast and Im sure I will love them too.
Everyone have a great day!
.

Susan, That's an amazing statistic. Doesn't seem like it should be that high. No plans for us today - so far we changed their sheets and cleaned under their bunk bed. It's rainy and gray so looks like chores today. Your DD sounds like a lot of fun. I *love* having girls (nothing against all you boy moms!)! Maybe we'll go out to get b'milk for making Melanie's Marvelous Muffins!

I was spunky, but didn't have the choc chips to add. I will for sure try that next time though. I also used whole wheat pastry flour.
I have only gotten in 3 workouts this week. With all my bleeding I thought it best I take off today.

Hey Suzie-Que & Kate. Aren't we early risers?!?!? Happy Friday the 13th.

It's also raining here. I"m glad I enjoyed the weather yesterday and went for a jog. I have a strollometer that gauges by distance, time and such that hooks onto my jogging stoller. It's pretty niffty,...yesterday told me I ran about 22 miles!!! ha ha, I had to recalibrate it for my next run. I"m thinking a garmin would be much more accurate,....but my wallet needs to stay tight shut until this house moves. I've been spending way too much money. I think I will do some more research online on foreclosures.

Today my friend has a dr appt & I"m going to watch her baby and 5 year old for a while. Do some laundry, finish making muffins, try my new workout and maybe take a nap. 27 Dresses is finally out on Direct TV, so maybe I'll watch that too. This weather makes me lazy!!

Susan, I use photobucket.com for uploading photos. A rest day sounds well-deserved for you!

Melanie, I don't know what it's like to NOT rise early! Dh gets up at 5 to get ready for work. I wake up then but I don't usually GET up til 6 0r 6:30. A Garmin would be great! Have fun babysitting and good luck with the house. What a stressful situation that must be. Sounds like a nice day for you.

Despite my laziness too I am getting quite a bit done. Need to keep a'movin!

HI everyone.

Susan, no advice, just hugs. I use photobucket too. If I can figure it out, anyone can.

Melanie, dump your realtor if you need to. She should be on your team. There's a big difference between trying to negotiate and trying to strong arm you.

Candra, the workout on the treadmill by tracy caught my eye. That looks great. Wish I had a treadmill!

Maggie, I am so with you on the animals. Our dog has been peeing on our parlour floor for no reason other than she doesn't like wet or high grass. Makes me so mad. The worst part is that the carpet has some weird backing on it and REEKS when it gets wet. The smell of the carpet is worse than the pee smell.

Speaking of animals- our little cat went missing 3 weeks ago. I figured she has gone off to die alone (she was old) or had been picked up by a do-gooder. Yesterday I opened the door and she was sitting on the patio! So, off to the vet we go. Her eyes are a little cloudy and she needs her updated shots too.

I am picking up my 7yo from camp today. I miss her, but I will be really happy to hear she had a great time.

Hi girls!

Susan--((Hugs)) Just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you and hoping you feel better soon. Those statistics are staggering, but I have confidence that you will have a healthy pregnancy soon.

Melanie--I can totally commiserate on overspending. I've been buying so much lately. And what am I doing today? GOING SHOPPING!

Maggie--I hope you have a better day with all of the animals. (I mean pets, not kiddos :) )

Kate--Hope you have a nice rainy day at home with the girls. I love rainy days with the kiddos. We bake, watch movies and totally bum out. Usually we label those days "pajama days." :)

Kirstan--I'm so glad your cat returned! She must have had such an adventure! I know you're also glad to pick up your DD. I dread the day my boys go to camp. I'll be such a basket case until they return!

Hi to Candra, Jen, Lisa and anyone else I missed!!! Hope you all have a geat day!

-----

Well, the boys and I are going to meet my mom, my sister and her two girls (ages 4 and newborn) and my Uncle, who is in town, for lunch today at a sit-down restaurant. Please pray my children don't destroy the restaurant and forever blackball us from there. Then if all goes well, I have bribed them with a trip to the Disney Store at the mall. I also have to buy an outfit that doesn't make me look like a whale for my husband's boss's cook-out on Sunday. I've never met these people, and I don't want to look shockingly homely the first time they meet me. It's hard to be vain and look like a grapefruit with arms and legs, let me tell you. Anyway, hope everyone has a wonderful day!!! We're going to swim lessons and then to my parents' tomorrow, so if I don't get to check in, have a great weekend!! :)

Good Morning!

Susan I am sorry to hear you are still bleeding. I know my sister had two miscarriages and she bled for quite awhile maybe 2 weeks.

Kate, I am in no hurry to do the baby's room either b/c I have to give up the kids playroom. We just recently moved into this house and I still need to paint the boys bedrooms and get them ready. I feel a little overwhelmed with 3 rooms to get ready. I also have to paint my workout room and another bathroom downstairs:eek:

Kristan, I'm glad your cat found her way home. We used to have a dog that ran off and we would think he was gone for good then he would come home scratching at the front door at two in the morning with a new collar someone else had given him. This happened several times.

Melanie, I hope you hear some good news on your house. The not knowing is not fun. I am baking the muffins this morning, I ran out of time yesterday. I am definitely adding the choc. chips I also might do a batch with blueberries.

Hi Stephanie, Trish and Mikkia
I have to go feed my kids breakfast. Check back later

Candra

Hi Ladies!

Yesterday, I scrubbed walls, washed curtains, and wiped down windows and sills, plus all the regular stuff. Today I plan to tackle the hallway, and several laundry baskets filled with "clutter", make a big batch of beef/barley soup, pay bills and go to the grocery store.

Tomorrow I have a big social day--I get together with a few other moms for breakfast every other month. We all home school and have a special needs child. Then we have our annual home school picnic/field day in the afternoon. Dh has promised that he and the older kids will watch the little ones for me so I can just sit and visit. Anyway, I probably won't get a chance to post tomorrow....

Kate--have fun cleaning--I'll be doing it too. And, ooooh, the road trip in 6 weeks. I'm jealous (in a good way:7 )

Susan--I don't have any advice either, but I will send you a (((hug))). Maybe your doctor could ease your mind about what to expect, although I'm sure you'll get some good advice here as well.

Melanie--I would definitely fire the realtor, if that's possible. Isn't he/she supposed to be working for you? And I'm going to have to go search for the muffin recipe. I'm totally intrigued.

Kristan--I'm so happy your cat showed up. What a nice surprise. I think it's always hard not knowing what happened to a pet (even though I'm not a pet person)

Stephanie--"It's hard to be vain and look like a grapefruit with arms and legs, let me tell you." Oh boy do I relate to this statement. I like to look nice and when I'm hugely pregnant, I just don't. Even my face looks puffy to me. I think I'm more of a whale than a grapefruit though:p .

Lisa--I'm sorry about your dog. Was this unexpected? or did you know you were going to have to put her down?

Mikkia--try not to worry. Sometimes a mother's instinct is on, but I think that lots of times feelings can be deceiving. (((hugs)))

Jen--have fun decorating! Sorry to hear Dh isn't feeling well. I hate it when my husband is sick.

Hi Candra! Hi Trish! Hi Anne! Hi Alicia!

take care all
Maggie :)
30 weeks, 4 days

Morning to all. Just sitting here at work, which I think is the hardest on Friday. No plans this weekend except swimming and napping(and of course a little puking).
Thanks for all of the kind words. I do feel a little better today.
Maggie-you must be nesting! Have fun at your breakfast tomorrow.
Kate-I would take your rain, and you also could organize my linen closet too! I tried to open ours yesterday to get the beach towels, and basically everything came out but the towels.
Jen-I think decorating the nursery is the best kind of decorating!
Lisa-sorry about your dog, I know that its never easy to do.
Melanie-Muffins are on our agenda for the weekend. DD loves to bake.
Kristan-We once had a cat that did the same thing, we thought he went to die, but he came back 3-4 weeks later...with a friend. We lost them both last year, Mert was 14, the other(Blackie) we had to put down.
Stephaine-I bet you are a very pretty pregnant girl!
Susan- I bled for 2 weeks with both of my mc. It started light, then very heavy then tapered off. I am so sorry.

I typed up a long post with personals and I see that it has disappeared!!! WAH!!!! Okay, I'll try my best again.

Stephanie - Your story about your "big things" made me crack up!!! DD asks when she has to wear a bra and thinks it's so funny.

Maggie - We knew it was coming, but she just really zonked out this week. I thought I'd handle it much better knowing it was coming, but it was harder than I thought. I met everyone outside the vet's office because I didn't want to see it all happen.

Susan - When I had my m/c I bled for quite awhile. It was annoying being that when I finally stopped, I got my period a week after that.

Melanie - 27 Dresses is a really cute chick flick.

Kate - Swimming sounds like such a good idea. Do both your girls know how to swim? I need to still teach dd how to swim. Ds can swim, but not dd yet.

Hi Candra! Hi Kristan! Hi Jen! Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Off to work I go this morning. I did GS Legs last night. Ouch! is all I can say. Feeling a little better this morning about everything. What is everyone planning for Father's Day?

Lisa

Kristan, YAY to kitty coming home!!! And DD too!

Stephanie, Great plans for today and the weekend! You are so CUTE! I'm sure!--- a grapefruit with arms! LOL! I know the feeling though.

candra, We hire out the painting. We joke that it's cheaper than divorce court. We both hate to do and yell at each other "You're doing it wrong!" When in reality we're likely both doing it wrong! I love our painters. I can totally trust them and even leave the house while they're here. DH says I've had every room repainted so many times we don't need insulation anymore becuase the walls are so thick!

Maggie, Productive Lady! And fun plans too!

Mikkia, So you're feeling nauseous? Are you kinda glad? A little reassurance isn't it? Ditto what you said about the towels. Ours is so bad.

Lisa, Gina (6) is a champion dog paddler in the shallow end. Isabel (4) is a huge chicken and hates to be more than 2 ft. away from me. We're working on improving both of their skills this summer. I haven't done any GS for a long time.

We ended up going out on a bazillion errands - DDs got cranky and I find that getting out of the house is the best cure for that. Isabel's flipflop started to give her a blister so I ended up carrying that kid all over town! Does that count toward my workout today?! She is HEAVY with this belly hanging out in front!

Having a great day. The weather cleared up so *maybe* we'll go for a swim again. My shoulders and back are pretty tender from y'days sun so not quite sure on that yet.

See ya later!

Kate, we both hate painting too. We did our bedroom together and it still is not finished. We did hire for the rest of the house b/c this house is too big with really high walls there is noway I was about to attempt that. I wanted to hire the guys back to do the boys bedrooms and bathroom but my husband says he is going to do it. We'll see I am getting really frusturated with the house being half done.

Maggie, I have to scrub my walls today. I don't think my kids know how to walk down the stairs without dragging their hands down the wall.

Mikkia glad you are feeling better today.

I am in the middle of baking the famous muffins. I will let you know how they turn out.

Candra

Hey!
Sounds like everyone has has a busy day. DD and I gave each other a facial, played a few games and hit the pool for a few. Someone said something about never wanting a pool of thier own. I don't blame you. This is our first home with a pool. We almost didin't buy the house because I didn't want a pool, but I really really liked the house. We had looked about at least 20 houses and this is the only one I liked....so we got a pool. DH used to gripe about me paying 350 a year for a pool membership..now he knows that was a steal! Its nice having it, but I would never want one again.
Mikkia, Lisa, thanks for the m/c knowledge. The bleeding has eased up a little and I'm feeling better. Lisa, a period right after a m/c YUCK!
I am about to start painting some here. I acutally enjoy painting. I know thats weird! I need a decorator though. I have not hung up any of my old pics. I am just tired of them, so my walls are still bare. I like it simple, but not bare.
Susan

hurray hurray hurray!!!!!!!!!!!
I got my weights in!!!
I've been dying to lift all week but it just hasn't happened.
DDs were playing so well (sadly, no nap though) so I did PushPull! I had to skip the abs and the supermans but I am so happy I got to lift.
Hoping to do Essentrics UpperBody still today - shouldn't be a problem.

Candra, Maybe you could hire a painter as a Fathers Day present! You could say "because you are sooooo busy, honey!";-) :D Present for him, present for you? I won't tell!! I'm anxious to make the muffins too!

Susan, You can paint for me and I'll decorate for you! Sounds like you and DD are having a nice day - good for you!
