TTC/Preg Check in June 25th

Cathlete
Good morning ladies! Today I try my new (refurbished) elliptical. I haven't worked out since Sunday so hopefully I won't over do anything. I began my iron therapy yesterday, hoping to begin pepping up a little. Monday night I wore some maternity capris and they were soooo comfortable. I haven't ventured out in public yet---just not ready. We don't like to publicize anything until 2nd trimester...and my non-maternity shirts aren't long enough to go over the maternity "strip" on the pants.

Dishwasher is working now, central air problem is next.

One of the parties that looked at our house last weekend asked us some more questions about our house. So there must be some interest in it. No offer as of yet, we dropped the price another 10K on Monday.

Anne, hang in there sweetie, you've been through alot and you WILL be a mommy (a great one too).

Okay ladies, I want to hear all about all these new DVDs you've been purchasing. I want details!

Check back later!

Anne, You'll be ovulating at a good time! Gina was concieved 4th of July weekend 7 years ago! You'll be making your own fireworks in that little cup!! It was so good to see your post. Hope all is well for you and DH. How is work going?

Melanie, yay to maternity clothes! So much more comfortable! My teenage sisters love mine - one of them wanted to borrow my shorts yesterday! LOL! Good news on interested party for the house. Sorry for the further price drop - that would kill me!

Busy day for us - payroll, truck recall work, visit grandma, bible study. Better go hop in the shower and get started!

Everybody doing good today?

oh, real quick! Gina (6) lost her 5th tooth last night. Now she has 3 missing in a row on the top and it is absolutley adorable! I love it!

Elliptical is awesome, did only 30 minutes,...but didn't want to push myself too hard.

I weighed myself after and I'm almost 10 lbs over my prepregnancy weight. I'm really really concerned. I haven't even been eating more than normal. What if it's twins? Twin BOYS?!?!?!? I don't know if I can wait until August for an u/s---I'm just so uncertain on my dates now. I'm trying to just calm down, but oh it's so hard!

Best get off to work, chat later. ;)

Mel- I gained 10 pounds with Ashley my first trimester, was convinced she was twins but only gained 22 the whole pregnancy.

Melanie, How are your carbs and sodium? My scale sky-rockets when I'm not being careful. Glad you like your elliptical though!

Morning!
Anne, I"ll be praying for you!!!! You should come check in more..Im the lone ttc'er.
Melanie, I too gained 10 pounds the first trimester then it leveled off and I put on 30 total...so don't worry. Im glad you like your eliptical!
Hi Kate. You are going to be busy today! Have fun. Oh..and love the snaggle tooth look..so darn cute!
Not too much going on today. Believe or not Im still spotting some. Gezzz wish it would just be done already..its annoying! I have no idea where I am in my cycle. Im just assuming there is no way I can ovualte while still spotting after a m/c..I have no idea.

Gonna be a hot one today so we'll most likely hit the pool. DD is so funny. She does a "workout" in the pool and her instructor name is "Laura Stone"..dont know where she came up with that name. She has watched so many of my workouts she does a darn good job too! Too funny.
Yesterday I did Imax2 and today I think I'll try Traceys treadmill workout again. Oh and Im back down to my pre-weekend pig out weight..whew!

Susan, LOL at DD! That's great! My girls like to pretend to WO too. Great WOs for you - and good job on the ###!

Hi everyone. All the new videos sound like fun. Melanie, I though of you yesterday. I did C+W with all those stupid triples and you are so right- such not a pregnant move.

I am almost to 39 weeks. Candra- I usually go late, so I'm not holding my breath to be early. I'd be happy within a couple days of my due date (july 4).

Today the girls are going a friend's backyard camp. I am taking Gus to a children's classical concert with some friends with similarly aged boys. After the concert, we'll walk to the Victorian wading pool to cool off. It'll be in the 90s all week.

Anne- good luck with acupuncture. I think it works. I need to call my "dude" for acupuncture today- I usually have those little tacks put in my ankles to help start labor.

I have some baby stuff left to do- get out clothes, set up the monitors, and get out all the bouncer chairs/swings to make sure they're clean and have batteries.

I made 4 lasagnas yesterday. My freezers (yes, the deep chest, the extra fridge downstairs and the regular freezer) are completely stuffed.

Kristan~sounds like you are really ready!! 4 lasagnas??!! Yum! Have a great day.. sounds like fun!

Susan~that is so funny about your dd working out in the pool.

Melanie~ Is there any way you can get in sooner to the dr.? Maybe express your concern you don't know how far along you are? I will agree w/ the other ladies though. This is the first pregnancy that I didn't gain 10lbs right away. My other 3 I gained right away.

Kate~wow 5 teeth?? Hunter (my 6 year old) hasn't lost any teeth. He is so bummed. Everyone in his class was losing teeth and he hasn't yet. I don't even feel any that are loose. He also didn't get any teeth till he was 1.. so maybe that is why. I bet your dd is just too cute w/ the toothless grin!

Not sure what is on the plan for today. Some cleaning I have been putting off, but maybe swimming later. For sure I need to get a run in. We'll see how the day goes!

Hey Kristin and Trish!
Well I decided to call the dr about my spotting. She told me to take a preg test and call her back pos or neg. So I guess if its pos I might have to have a d/c..or it may be the other way around. I will keep you guys posted.

Oh Susan! Keep us posted. :)

Thanks for the support about my weight gain. I"m trying not to be worried. I'm going to really push an u/s ASAP after my appt so I can confirm dates. I cannot get in earlier b/c of my work schedule & my doctor's schedule. I could see a different provider, but I want to develop a therpeutic relationship with this doctor (only seen her once). So you guys don't think it's twins, right?!?!?!?! Do you remember the dream I had a week before finding out I was pg? Our pastor was "blessing our 5th" child. I was sitting there thinking, "What happened to the 4th one?" Hmmmmmmmm.....

mel, i gained 8-10 1st trimester with both boys but topped out at 18-19lbs total with each. you will be fine, and remember how quickly you lost it last time!

hi everyine!!

Hi,
Well, the screen door is officially installed in the back, but now we are tackling an ant problem in our computer room. My DH removed this ugly shutters that were on the inside of the window, and tons of ants came pouring out (ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww)! He has been spraying, and every day, we wipe up so many dead ants. We will wait another day or two and then call in the professionals (there goes another $150 or so;( ).
Today, I have DS at a play preschool for 2 hours. He goes every Wed, for a couple of weeks, and this was his first day. I think he'll like it. I have to pick him up in a few minutes.
Later today, I have my glucose test and monthly exam. I am having some trouble with veins "down there", and it hurts. Does or did anyone ever have this? I hope they go away after the baby comes!
The baby has been kicking up a storm, and braxton-hicks have started as of a few weeks ago. They are so annoying!

Kristan-you are so close! Mmmmmmmmm...lasagna. What kind did you make?

Melanie-Twins??? I wouldn't worry about the weight gain. I didn't gain anything in the beginning and then poof, I gained a ton over the past 2 months. Every pregnancy is different. I am glad you got your ellipitcal.

Kate-Kids with missing teeth are the best. Usually, first graders start losing them like crazy.

Trish-I love the names you picked out for your baby girl.

Susan-Too funny with DD making up a workout person. Laura Stone? That's funny!

Candra-I just ordered Jari Love again through Netflix. I never did the other two that I got from Netflix b/c (well, it's a long story). But I am expecting one soon.

Stephanie-My DS repeats me, so I can't wait till he has a brother old enough to do that to him. I usually modify flies on the ball.

Maggie-I ordered Leslie Sansone from Netflix. It's the 5 mile walk. I will let you know how it goes.

Hi Anne! Hang in there!!!

Hi Morris!!!

Hey guys,
ok preg test is still faintly positive. Im going to see dr at 1.
Hi Morris. Wow only 19lbs..thats great. I was always in awe of the workouts you did while pregnant.
bbl

Oh Susan! I'm sorry, I know how much you'd like to just get on with things. (hugs)(hugs)

Hi everyone. I just got back from Disney and I am wiped out. Hopefully the kids can entertain themselves this afternoon. We had a nice time, but I was pretty sick most of the trip and then I think I got a little heat stroke yesterday. Off to bed I go. Oh, the funny part was, I did not throw up one time, just nausea. we walked in the door from the airport and boom, barely made it to the bathroom. So I guess I should thank God I held off til I got home.
Hope everyone is doing well and I will check the old posts later on.

Jen- my "bikini" veins are bad, bad, bad. Just on one side though. My ob said, "wow- that must hurt." They go down after delivery. It's my only pregnant lady complaint (that and the heartburn). get a bag of frozen peas if they hurt too badly.

Hey Ladies!!

Wow, I am late checking in today!

Mikkia--I'm sorry that you were nauseated during your Disney trip!! I know you're glad to be home where you are free to puke in peace. :) Hope you feel better soon!

Melanie--Congrats on your eliptical!! I'm glad you had a good workout! I've had a terrible time with weight gain this time around. I do this with every baby. I have gained almost 25 pounds already (and I'm 25 weeks). I haven't gained anything in the past week, though, so I'm hoping to steady off. Otherwise, it will be another 55-lb pregnancy again.

Kate--That's so funny about your 6 year old! Oliver lost his fifth tooth about a week and a half ago. He has two missing on the bottom and one missing on the top right now. He looks so funny too! I worry though that his teeth aren't growing in very quickly right now. Maybe I"m just obsessing.

Susan--((hugs)) Hope you get to feeling better soon. Keep us posted.

Kristan--Have fun today! Sounds like you are getting really ready for the baby. How exciting!!

Trish--Have a great day!! I've also got to clean today. Ugh.

Jen--I hate ants too. We used to get them in our old house. Good luck on your glucose test!

Anne--Good luck!!! Sounds like you will be giving it your all this month! You are such a strong lady!

Hi to anyone else I missed!!

-----
So today I will be doing cleanmax and hopefully a light workout tonight. Maybe my prenatal yoga, but it's SOOOOO boring. We'll see, Maybe Preggi Bellies. I like the abs section. I DID my new Jari Love Ripped workout last night. It's not nearly as advanced as Cathe's workouts, but it was a great workout for this stage. I modified the chest exercises on my ball and I didn't do the abs or the deadlift section. I really enjoyed the DVD and think I'll like it post-partum too. And hey, it was only $5!! It's supposed to be 94 degrees today, so we are staying in and keeping cool today. Yesterday we ran errands and DS was almost sick last night from the heat. Poor thing. I'm SO ready for fall!!

Hope everyone has a great day!!

Pregnancy symptoms--ugh!

1.Heartburn (haven't had that since baby #1)
2.Round Ligament pain--got stuck on my step right after the dumbell french presses in CTX upper body split. Lay there in pain, completely unable to move whilst Cathe and crew moved on without me. I couldn't move for about 3 minutes.
3.Meat Cravings--bought a piece of jerky yesterday at the grocery store. I never buy jerky. My treats are usually way carb based.
4. Constipation--taking stool softener (TMI--sorry)
5. Hot feet--soggy freezing cold "ice" mittens and a fan
6. Insomnia--splurging on a diet coke did not help that one bit.
7. Back pain
8. Weigh gain
9. Okay--enough already--I'm such a whiner.....

But at least I'm not having any serious complications, so I'd better stop griping.

Not much cleaning occured yesterday. I bough Rosetta Stone Spanish for ds 13 and me, but the girls begged to be set up to do it to. It can accomodate 5 users and who can say no to kiddos who want to learn, so setting them up took some time. I'm flagging and feeling a bit overwhelmed. Time to start setting baby step goals--then it will all get done, eventually.

Lisa--my dh probably could deliver my baby--he's been there for all of them. Think of all the money we'd save, I keep telling him, but he's not buying....

Melanie--cool! your elliptical came. I'm jealous (in a nice way:)). Maybe you do have twins. I can't wait to see what your ultra sound reveals.

Candra--how old are your kids (or kid) that your husband takes hiking? I think that he and another dad are probably fine, but I know how we mom's worry. They probably have a blast.

Kate--now, now, don't be ashamed about Leslie Sansone--I'm doing Tracy's walking video the marching on the floor version. Now tell me, do you like Leslie as an instructor and what is the music like? reviews?

Stephanie--I had Get Ripped, but I gave it away to a friend who prefers endurance type work. I have Get Ripped 1000 and I use it only rarely as a change of pace. It's more of a cardio/endurance circuit. $4.99 is a great price.

Anne--it's so good to hear from you. I know you live in the midwest and I was wondering if the flooding had affected you and kept you from posting. I'll keep you in my prayers for a successful ovulation, conception, and pregnancy.

Susan--that's too cute about your daughter (aka Laura Stone:)). Let us know how the doctor's appointment goes.

Kristan--good job on all the freezer food. That's on my plan for the summer as well. I love having meals or at least part of a meal ready to go. You are so close.

Trish--I'm so impressed that you are running at 22 weeks--I love your little ticker thingie, by the way.

Morris--it's so good to hear from you. Is all going well?

Jen--netflix--what a great idea. Maybe I'll try some easier workouts from there. Do let me know how you like Leslie, though. I love reviews. I don't have any trouble with veins "down there", but I know several women who have. They all buy this tremendously expensive, but worth it they say, support hose. I hope you find a solution--it sounds miserable.

Mikkia--you're back already! Sorry you felt so yucky. It's hard to enjoy oneself when one feels sick to the stomach, but I'm glad your back safe.

I feel like I missed someone, so if I did sorry--

take care all
Maggie:)
