Hi all!
I'm sick! I just haven't felt much like posting lately. I'm trying to drink all the OJ I can and keep exercising, but it's hard when you just feel like sleeping. Hopefully this passes soon.

DH hasn't made his surgery appt. yet. He's waiting to see what he finds out about his shoulder. He needs to get surgery done on that as well. I'm hoping he'll get on it and schedule them soon, or I'll have to start 'nagging' him. When I do that, then it seems he puts it off even more!

Wow, you ladies have done AWESOME on the workouts last week! Nice job! I'm slowing getting into it again and will try to cook some clean eating recipes today for the week.

I'm in my 2nd week of the 2WW now. Temps are up there, but I'm thinking it's bc I'm sick so not getting too excited at all. Plus, we really didn't have good timing, so I'm sure it's the illness.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Anne

Thanks for starting us off, Anne. I'm sorry your sick, it's really tough to workout when your sick (or make babies). Hang in there!

Kristan, your almost at the 1/2 mark already, wow it's going fast.

Morris, I'll be praying that you'll have a peaceful and action packed trip in Florida!

Autumn, there are so many cute nursing shirts.

My temp spiked this AM, I must be pretty typical peaking at CD 14-15, I think my cycles are about 26 days long though....which means I'm should be more fertile than others. I'm considering taking a "break" until Mar-Apr, we'll see.

Ahhhh gotta go. Will chat later. :)

Hi Anne! Thanks for starting us off!

Melanie - I think that means you're post ovulation. Do you have a copy of your temps or chart? What made you want to take a break?

Gotta make this a short post because I have a ton of things to do. The wedding went well and my sister did really well, bridezilla was gone. My temp dropped this morning and I started spotting which really made me down, but I'm okay now. My friend is mailing me her fertility monitor which I will start using and I'm so thankful for her offering because they cost like $150-$200. Anyway, I got only 3 workouts in last week and the eating has been bad with all the wedding food. I'm going to go running today because I need to get out and let out all this blahness I'm feeling. I'm starting a new day tomorrow with my eating and workouts.

I'll be back later with personals. Hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

Lisa

I want the t shirt that says "It ain't easy being queasy.", because that's what life is like right now:p.

My workouts last week
GS Chest, coremax 1, treadmill 30 min
GS Back, 4DS LIS
L&G
GS Triceps, C&W core
50 min treadmill
GS Shoulders, Biceps, 45 min mish mosh from SB/SJP

I have zero energy for cardio. I get winded so fast, which just should not be the case until the latter half of the 2nd trimester, at least that's been my pattern so far.

Good news, aside from the initial 7 lbs I gained right off the bat, my weight has maintained for the last 3 weeks, which also isn't normal for the first trimester for me. I usually gain 15 lbs or so, so I feel really good about that. I don't want to have 40 lbs to lose (again) after the baby comes. I always manage to do it, but it's so much work.

Kristan--is Lent approaching so soon? I had it further out in my mind--hope you have a fun Mardi Gras celebration, though.

Morris--I hope your little guy feels better. He sounds miserable. Vomit is especially hard to deal with.

Anne--I hope you feel better soon. It sucks to be sick.

Lisa--glad the wedding went well.

Hi Autumn, hi Melanie

I really hope I didn't forget anyone.

Maggie:)
10 weeks, 5 days

Lisa, if I understand correctly, you're most fertile the day BEFORE your temperature peaks, right? Remember, we want pictures!!

Even though I plotted and planned my fertile moments, I wasn't able to seduce DH as planned. At all. Which sucks, and is stressful in itself. I think it was easier to deal with when I wasn't "expecting" it to happen. My spuradic temping proved that my CM interpretation was accurate,...so......

Maggie, Just a couple more days of nausea, you're almost there. GREAT job on the weight gain. Your exercise schedule has always been impressive. ;)

I did Tracey's Step Sweatfest (part 1) and Kickboxing (part 1) today. She's really growing on me. :)

good morning everyone!

lisa, i am so sorry you spotted. that is great news about the fertility monitor. enjoy running outside. i am quite jealous as it was 2 degrees this am. my treadmill and i are becoming quite close:)

melanie, did you and dh not have any tiem together? that is stressful. i am especially into dh these days (by product of pregnancy i guess), and i feel like such a whale trying to seduce him all the time. hate that.

maggie, great workouts and great job with the weight gain. i too usually pack it on the 1st trimester; things steady off thereafter, but it can be discouraging. do you still feel the need to take a break?

hi kristan - are you still running this week? i find if i have a bad run, a few days later it gets better again, probably as my body adjusts. also, treadmill is way easier than outside.i am hoping to just keep running as it feels wonderful right now, and last preganacy i had to stop at 21 weeks.

hi jen, hi autumn - hope you all are well.

well, we have our us in 5 hours - no i am not counting down;) all of us, ds included, are quite sure it is a little boy. i had a great workouts this am as i am afraid it may be my last for the week. i will be so unhappy if i do nothing in florida, but if dh does not cooperate, that is exactly what will happen. i ran 6 mil and did imax 3 blasts only.

i will post tomorrow with an update from the us. i really just want to see my baby.

take care everyone

Hey Lisa - Just a reminder about using the monitor...it actually keeps track in its memory past cycles and stuff, so it's going to have all of your friends data in its memory. That's why they don't suggest using someone else's. If you do use it, just be aware that the first few cycles may be off b/c of her data residing in there. :)

Glad your wedding went well!

Melanie - We all need a break now and then. Don't stress yourself out too much!

Morris - Good luck at the u/s, can't wait to find out what you're having! Nice job on the workouts too...you're a real trooper to be going so long!

Hi Autumn, Kristin!

Anne

Anne, are you feeling better?

Lisa, what's a fertility monitor? Do you store temps and stuff in it?

Morris, my DH wasn't attracted sexually to me when I had a round belly. Just his preference, I suppose.

I'm thinking about going on phase 1 of southbeach diet. I don't know why, but my pants are TIGHT today. I remember when they were loose. That's NEVER a good sign (unless your pg, of course). Since I'm not pg, it'd be a good time to get my Phase 1 done with. I felt so good when I didn't have all that sugar...

Melanie--I'm sorry you weren't able to have any alone time with your DH--that must be discouraging. A friend loaned me the south beach diet book, but I never did try it. Maybe I will after the baby. I did Eat to Live, but I know I could never do that as a permanent lifestyle--extrememly healthy, but too restrictive for me. Tell me your experience with South Beach.

Morris--I can't imagine your husband is complaining about your interest in him. I'm always happy to oblige my dh and he really digs it when I initiate. TMI?--sorry. I can't wait to hear the gender of your baby. Post as soon as possible.

Hi everyone else--

Maggie:)

hi everyone

well, the ultrasound went well and we are having a little boy! i am very excited to see he is healthy and well and active. i did have a momentary twinge of lost visions of dresses and ballet class, but i am truly happy. unfortunately, the day went poorly after that. ds got a very high fever, we went to the dr and canceled our trip for a day. ds is better today, so we may go tonight. i didn't get much sleep last night b/c ds kept coughing and breathing fast, i was concerned. i got u and really sweated this morning, though, so that was nice.

melanie, south beach diet sounds interesting. let me know if you find any good recipes. i am having trouble consuming enough vegs these days as i have no desire to prepare them. are you and dh fighting or are things okay? i know when i preceive dh is not interested, it does awful things to me - i can be quite insecure.

hope everyone is well

Maggie, I did SouthBeach Diet after my last baby was born,...and get this...I didn't even lose ONE pound after he was born. I still don't understand that. He was just under 6lbs, and with placenta, and fluids,...you woulda thought I would have lost something. At my 6 week check up I had 20 lbs to lose. I went on the diet & exercised ALOT. I lost it all in 30 days (and kept losing). I felt great too. I kept the weight off too, besides regular fluctuations.

Morris, Congrats on a healthy boy! Yahoo! I"m so excited for you. It's hard to believe your 1/2 way already. I wish I could rub your round belly (for good luck). Things have been stressful at home with 2 mortgages, the recent move, my recent job change, his upcoming surgery. It really isn't the best time to conceive, it's just I feel my clock ticking and all. If it were someone elses life, I would think they were crazy. It truly is in God's hands,...I just have to remember to keep giving it to Him,...instead of always trying to take control of things myself,...I suppose I"m just like Sara (Abraham's wife). Would someone give me sperm? Ha Ha. Bad humor, I know. :D :D

I'm sore today from my workouts this weekend. Feels great!

Melanie- you are too young to be worried about a ticking clock. You're not even 35 are you?

Morris- hurray for a healthy baby. I think two kids of the same gender close in age are wonderful. My girls are best buddies; they're 22 months apart.

MSJ- Lent is CRAZY early this year. And because it is, all of the church/school activities are pushed into Jan and first 5 days of Feb so as not to conflict with Lent.

I'm hoping to get in just 3 workouts this week: 4DS kickbox/legs (I did that last night), some upper body routine/short run (planned for tomorrow during girls' tumbling class), and a long run on Sunday.

I need to get cooking! I have 10 pounds of andouille for red beans/rice, and a LOT of baking and appetizer making to do. I'll try to take pictures to post of the house, food spread, beads, etc. I'm hoping people have a good time (and that the weather stays good).

Kristan, are you having a party? I must have missed that post, sorry if it's a repeat. DH will be 45 this year, if it doesn't happen by my b-day we're done...which is okay too ;) I just need to take a break b/c it's difficult not to be emotional about it. I'm such a goal-orientate person, fixing my eyes upon my goal & not letting down until it happens. BTW, are you finding out your sex?

Morris, BEWARE!!! :D :D My little ones are 22 mos apart and they fight all the time. :D :D My middle boy doesn't seem to get along with the other too (middle-child syndroms? ) ...they are precious....on a rare occasion I catch them doing something real sweet to one another.

Morris - Yay for another boy!! And esp. that he's healthy! Sorry about ds getting sick. Hope your trip goes well.

Melanie - A fertility monitor helps you figure out your most fertile days. I'll try posting a link for you later. I'll email some pics once I get around to downloading them! Sorry about the missed time with DH. It happens to us also so you're not alone.

Anne - My friend figured out a way to clear the memory so it should be good to go.

Kristan - Your mardis gras sounds like so much fun!!

Hi everyone else! Sorry for the short post, but I'm at work and trying to get work done, but feeling lousy with AF visiting and all. I totally need to clean up my eating as well. I had a great workout on Sunday. Did 1 hour of Drill Max then went running with ds for 30 minutes. No workout yesterday and my eating was horrible for dinner. Today is a new day so I'm so far on a good start.

Lisa

Congrats Morris!!!!!!

Lisa ~ I also sent you the instructions to clear the monitor.:) I teach the Marquette Model, which uses the monitor if the couple wishes.

Hi everyone!

Gotta run!

Autumn

I hope I don't jinx myself, but I got a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am taking it day by day due to my early MC in August. I have been super busy for the past few weeks with helping my FIL, taking a class and getting report cards done. I'll write more this weekend. I am off to work.
