Happy Sunday ladies!!! Hope you are all enjoying the 3-day weekend. I figure I'll start the thread early today since the rest of my day is going to be full and I'll be heading out to a company luau tonight. Very corny, but should be fun.

I did squeeze in 3 workouts last week somehow. Eating was okay.

How is everyone else doing? Can't wait to hear from all of you!!!

Lisa

a luau sounds fun lisa! we had a great sunday - took a ferry to an island to have lunch with my sunt and uncle who are visiting maine. it was lovely and fun, but not eactly clean eating. lots of oil in salad and fish, but it sure tasted good.

my eating and workouts last week were all really good, so imagine my distress at seeing the scale and feeling my clothes get tight. i am going to really buckle down with the eating the next few days and try to see what happens. how is everyone else? hopefully all the af's are gone, and everyone can start a fresh month. i am really excited for my dr appointment on tuesday - we will see what happens.

can't wait to hear from everyone. have a great labor day

Hi ladies! Thanks for starting thread Lisa, you are so on top of things!!

I did not have a good workout week, but I"m runnign full throttle and believe I am burning mega calories just living right now. I worked out maybe 2 days last week. :(

Morris, I"m really excited for you and your appt on Tuesday. I'll be eagerly awaiting your report. :)

Have a great Labor Day ladies, we've been through a lot this year...and we all deserve a relaxing day. Enjoy!

Hope everyone is enjoying a great Labor Day! I bought the Jari Love 1000 Ripped dvd at Ross' the other day and I think I'll try it out today. Anybody here ever did any of her workouts?

Morris - Can't wait to hear how your dr. appt goes tomorrow? Please keep us posted!

Melanie - I hope you're relaxing today!

Lisa

Hey Lisa - How was the luau? Let me know how that workout is! I've had to throttle back on the High impact stuff, but managed to get about 6 workouts in this week. Trying to eat better, but that's my biggest hurdle. DH is doing great with his routine. Eating lots of fruits and veggies. Wish I had his willpower.

Coming up on my 2WW here, nothing really new here. I went to see Bourne Ultimatum in the theater today and it was great!

Morris - Yes, please let us know how your appt goes!

Melanie - How's the new job and house?

Hi Autumn and anyone else I missed!

Anne

Hi Anne! It's always so good to see a post from you! The luau was fun. Good food and a good laugh to watch the show. It's always funny watching the show as a local because it seems so corny when you live here to watch it. The workout was actually really decent. Not too much high impact, but I like the way it's broken down. Good job on the 6 workouts! I just came back from dinner and I am sooo full.

I've been feeling really blah lately. I'm supposed to be working right now, but I get so easily side tracked - can you tell since I'm here posting??? AF is almost gone, so here's hoping for a better month. Although, I'm going on a trip in November so I'm feeling paranoid about getting pg and being in my first trimester if I do get pg. I think it's because I was pg on our last trip last year and I ended up miscarrying when I came home. I know it was just coincidence, but I'm just paranoid I guess.

Anyway, hope you are all enjoying your last day of summer!

Lisa

I completed my first KB workout yesterday and have major lower body DOMS today.

I'll write more later. I am taking a break from grading med term exams.

Hope y'all had a great weekend!

these kb workouts you guys keep mentioning sou nd neat. i have a few more dvd's on my wish list first though. i am thinking of hsc or hsta. on the other hand, i have the new series coming soon. i know what you guys mean, though, about feeling uninspired. i feel very very blah right now. that is why i am on the computer instead of picking up around the house or exercising!

anne, so good to hear from you. my fingers are crossed for you on your tww.

melanie, lisa, sounds like you guys are still at the same points in your cycles - this will hopefully be your month. lisa, it must be a bit nerve racking to be at the same time of year as last with the mc. i am hopeful things will workout this time.

well, i meet with the dr today. she reviewed my chart and wants to do the same thing as last time. starting in about 2.5 weeks i will begin injections of folistim to grow a follicle, then, when it is the right size i will use an hcg analogue to help it ovulate, then, with a little luck dh will be in town, and we can try. iam kind of nervous b/c of the high high rate of multiples. on the other hand, i am fortunate this is an option. clomid is an option too, but people like me (with hypothalamic amenorrhea) have only a 10% chance of conception on it. i am going to focus on staying positive and not focusing on the stuff i cannot control.

it was a beautiful moring to run this am - i hope everyone else is having good weather too. the air definately feels like fall!

take care

Morris,
Thanks for the update. I hadn't realized you were diagnosed with hypothalmic amenorrhea? Was that recent? How is that diagnosed? Are your TSH levels normal? Synthroid user? Okay, nosey enough. ;)

Autumn - Don't you love DOMS? It makes me feel like maybe my body is changing now!

Morris - Woooo hoooo on getting things started! I'll be praying that you guys get pg right away and maybe with twins????

Not much for me here except I'm eating bad today. I had a whole plain bagel for breakfast and then nothing healthy for lunch while I'm sucking on a jolly rancher candy right now. How's that for carb overload today? Okay, so salad for dinner tonight. I'm committed.

Lisa

Hi all,
Had a really awesome workout tonight and feel just great! I did Cathe's Drill max. Really sweat a lot! Knees are doing really well too, considering I'm not taking anything for them. Must be a good week for them. I've cut out running to be easier on them. My Dr. scolded me and said 'You're too young to get new knees', so I figured I had to try to start saving them.

Ok, what's DOMS?

Morris - Wouldn't twins be great! I'm a twin, so trust me it's not so bad. And Mom said we just popped right out at about 6 pounds each. We were big for twins!

Lisa - Ditto on the eating like crap. I ate chocolate and I had to pop some crescent rolls in the oven. I hadn't had those in ages. I ate 4! I always feel bad after doing something like that.

Well, I'm off to WI tomorrow for my Aunt's funeral. We'll drive there and back in the same day, so may be a little tiring. Heading off to bed soon as I need to be up by 3am tomorrow and on the road by 4am. YIKES!

Chat soon,
Anne

DOMS = delayed onset muscle soreness. Ha! I had to ask about a year ago, we all know what it is, don't we? Catheites are no stranger to muscle soreness, are we?
Anne, where are you headed in WI? I grew up there... That stinks about going to a funeral.
Morris, are you up to twins?

Morris, how are you feeling now that you've had some time to think it over?

Ladies, I am still stiff... good workout... maybe I should do some classical stretch before bed.

I was going to spin but my legs aren't up to it. Maybe tomorrow.

Anne - Sorry about the funeral. Be safe on your drive over!

Autumn - Do you have a spin bike at home? Wow. I love spinning class, but haven't gone in awhile. I used to go the 5:30am spinning class at the gym every week if you can believe that! Not anymore....

I ate like crap and don't even feel up to working out. I'll probably fit something in tonight before I sleep though.

Good night ladies!

Lisa

hey everyone - what a busy post we have!!

anne, i am so glad your knees are better. i love drill max, especially the total body premix. also, very reassuring to hear you are a twin and it wasn't too bad for your mom. i am not sure i am up to twins - who really is, i guess? but i also believe i can handle whatever i need to. probably by the time they are 2 things get easier - built in play mate, etc... it is the trips and quads that worry me!

melanie, i have had that disgnosis for the last 3 years. from what i understand, it is a dx of exclusion. they ruled out all the other reasons i was not cycling (thyroid dz, pituitary tumor, etc..) i don't produce hormones on my own, though, and otherwise i am fine. also, i don't consider any questions nosy - i consider you all my firends, and it is nice to be able to share and "talk".

here is to a clean day for all of us today!! i am going to try to do legs and glutes while ds naps this am. i should clean as we have company coming over, but i'd rather do the workout:)

Lisa-I do have a spin bike. One of my best fitness investments... I didn't get a Lemond but maybe one day.

Anne-I am sorry aobut your aunt.

My lower body feels better today so I am planning another KB workout.

Morris - What are the chances of multiples with the procedure you're doing? Is it 50/50?

Autumn - Do you make your own spin routine or do you have dvds or something? I know our spin instructors had this routine type thing written out and we would follow according to the music. It was fun and a super good workout. Lucky you!

I squeezed in a B&G workout this afternoon. I have an awful headache now. My dd has thrown a tantrum for the second day in a row today. I hope it's the last for a loooong time. Anyway, hope everyone is having a good evening!

Lisa

Did you guys hear that Halle Berry is 3 mos pregnant? She's 41. I hope it's her egg that was fertilized and not a donor egg. Weird thought, but thought I share!

Lisa

a donor egg? why not just adopt then? interesting.

lisa, chances are 30-40 for mutiples - pretty darn high. am i crazy? i guess i could manage though. i better keep telling myself that at any rate. did you do butts and guts as is or a premix? i love that workout.

I have thought about Clomid, or similiar medication and quite frankly the thought of multiples scares me!!! Although the aspect of twins sounds nice, I'd be scared of having 3 or 7 children...then the risk of having medical complications with multiples.... Anyone else have thoughts (or any other)?
