Hey ladies! Not much time to post, but just wanted to start the new thread. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I am pooped!

Be back tomorrow for more!

Lisa

Lisa,

Thanks for starting post. I have checked a couple of times...to lazy to do it myself. ;)

4 days of workouts last week (worked only 3 days last week--PERFECT). This week I work 4 days. Mixture of kicboxing & step. Imax 2 (so fun), and Turbo Jam (LOVE these). Can't wait to get Cathe's newest for variety.

Diet has been so so. I don't crave chocolate anymore, now salty stuff. Hmm. MD has been limited to just 1/day (does it matter the size?). I"m just about finished my Detox book. It's really interesting. I"m not sure if I'll follow completely...it's a 28 day cleansing.

Lots of challenges this past week on forum. I'm so thankful that I have you ladies in my life for support. THANK YOU!

~Melanie~

hello everyone

lisa, how are things? when does dh leave town? how is your dog doing?

melanie, so glad you had a good week last week. what did you do for kickboxing? sounds like you have the mt dews under control!

hi jen, hi anne, hi autumn, hi kristan.

i am so glad monday is over. i had laryngitis, and it made work pretty challenging today. i did find people listened in their appointments a lot more carefully than when i had a normal voice. hmmmm. workouts went well last week - lots of runs and some step and the gym styles. this week i am going to do more light total body weights i think in addition to running. diet is going okay, though i am not noticing tremendous changes in numbers. the cool thing is i am definately not craving sweets, minimal chocolate. i think this week i will try to limit myself to the occasional piece of fruit for a snack. also, this week is the end of my 2ww. if no af by friday i get an hcg test. unfortunately, i feel pms coming on i think. i was borderline witchy today and am quite tired and sluggish. just a few more days though.

Hi Lisa - Anything new with you?

Melanie - Nice job on the workouts. I love Imax 2 as well. What's Turbo Jam?

Morris - No AF, No AF...good luck!

I'm out this month as AF came really early this month (today). My cycle was only 26 days long. That's short for me! I'm usually an average of 29-30 days long. I wonder if it's b/c I've been so sick lately. Thoughts?

We have a wedding in WI on Friday to go to so that should be fun. I'm going to enjoy a few glasses of wine there after I work out this week! :9

Gotta run and get some more work done tonight.

Hi to all!

Anne

Hi. My workouts were pretty decent- IMAX 2, BM2 blasts/legs, PS CST, and I also ran a couple of times and went to the gym.

Anne- I don't know about your short cycles. Mine have always been pretty short. It's like my body realizes there's no egg and jumps to AF.

Autumn- yes, I grew up in Missouri - Webster Groves. We live in the city now- Soulard to be exact, near the Anheuser Busch brewery. Where are you?

good luck to everyone.

Hi everyone!

Hey Lisa, how are you?

Melanie, I am impressed with your workouts. Your schedule is so packed. How do you do it all? I love the TJ workouts. So much fun.

Morris, sorry about the laryngitis. It was tough when I worked and would get hit with it. Here at home, I really think my kiddos take advantage of it when I struggle to talk. }( I am praying AF stays away!!!!!!!

Kristan, we live an hour from STL. My DH works in Chesterfield. I just resigned from one of the hospitals up that away. I'll pm you the locale.

I only completed those 4 workouts last week. Overall, my eating was terrible last week ... I ate homemade chocolate chip cookies yesterday. Today, I was very good. No fruit... no sweet tea from McDonalds... no cookies. I'll just take it one day at a time. I am peak fertility right now and DH is home so we shall see.

Hi ladies!!

Morris - I'm doing good. I've been busy, but good. My dog goes in next week for her workup and meds to kill the baby worms. I'm trying not to think about it or I can get very anxious. I'm crossing my fingers for you that AF doesn't show!

Melanie - Awesome job with the workouts.

Anne - Sorry that AF showed. Not sure about the shorter cycle, but I know I wish my cycles were shorter. I'm on CD16 and no sign of o, but maybe in a couple days since I normally o later.

Autumn - Have fun!!!

Kristan - Wow, great job with the workouts! Do you normally workout that often?

Sorry for the short post, but it's been hectic. DH left for Vegas yesterday and I've been busy with home and work. I did 4 workouts last week and eating started off good then at the end of the week it went downhill. I haven't been craving sweets as much as before so that's good. Today I ate well so let's see how tomorrow goes. No sweets for me today except 1/2 a banana. I hope we get a BFP out of someone before the end of this year!

Lisa

lisa i think we need a few bfp's this year!

i am soo hormonal today. i feel like crying all the time, and i feel thick and heavy. i ran 10 mil today, and eating is really good today - 1 small apple and 1 strawberry, no processed food. so why do i feel rotten? pms i think, but trying to stay positive.

anne, the wedding sounds fun. are you in it?

autumn, hope your day is going well.

melanie, are your 4 days of work all in a row?

Hi Everyone!
Well, I started working out this week (Turbo Jam CP for something fun). I did that on Monday. DS was running all around on Monday, then came down with a bad fever yesterday. He is home today (with DH)again today. I have been up several times during the night, so no workouts.

I have to run...I justrealized DH did not call off today and he needs to get up and call!

hi jen - i hope you don't get sick too!

i have a question for all you knowledfgable ladies. i have no idea how long my cycle is b/c i normally don't cycle. but, if i took something to help me ovulate 2 fridays ago, is it likely i will have 14 days from that point, or is it more likely i will have a 28 day cycle? the short i took was actually on day 16 of my cycle. does this question even make sense? i just want to know if people have a 24 or 25 day cycle, is it shorter b/c it took less time to ovulate, or less time between ovulation and the start of the next cycle?

i had a good workout day but a poor eating day. i did a long run and muscle endurance. but, i ate one multigrain cookie, a bit of dark choclate, also 1 piece opf fruit, and wayyyy too much peanut butter. i need to get back on track for tomorrow, my long day. actually thursday and friday will be very busy for me. hopefully it will keep my mind busy.

how is everyone? melanie, aren't you getting close to the end of your 2ww? lisa, how are things at home? anyone tried the new dvd's yet?

O.K. I am back! DH got a little reprimand for calling in too late, and his principal could not find him a sub, but what were we to do? I pray to God that DS sleeps tonight!!! He was running all over tonight, so I think he's over this virus.

My friend at work just had a miscarriage. That makes 3 of us this year at work who had one. I just never knew how common they are. She is doing fine, and I actually had her laughing tonight.

I am heading to bed right after this post, so hopefully I will get a good night's sleep and be able to wake up and exercise. My new DVDs have shipped, and I can't wait to get them.

You all have done such a great job with your workouts. My workouts involve one TJ and chasing after my 2-year old son around the block;-) . I had a whole page of notes that I wanted to write to each of you, but I can't find it now:( .

I will check back in tomorrow. Take care!
-Jen

Morris - I would give yourself at least 14 days in your luteal phase (the days after you ovulate) before you test. So that would make you test around CD30 if you ovulated on CD16. Great job on the workout! DH came home so things are slowly getting less crazy. I am almost finished with my dd's Jasmine costume so I'm happy about that. Note to self - no more sewing kid's costumes for Halloween.

Jen - Do tell how the new workouts are! I can't track my dvds because all Hawaii shipments go USPS. So it's just wait and see. I did order early on (like the second week of the announcement?) so I'm hoping I don't have to wait too long. Sorry about your coworker's miscarriage. I never realized how common it was until I had one also.

My eating was HORRIBLE today. I wolfed down two huge and I mean, huge pieces of brownie at a training seminar I had to attend. It was sooooo good though. Talking about HR issues can make me want to stuff my face with brownies all day long. Other than that, not bad. I am off to do LIC (the whole thing, not the premixes) after I finish posting. Hi Autumn, Melanie, and Anne! Hope you guys are having a good week!

Lisa

Just a quick note that AF has arrived. Which is okay, b/c I'm feeling a little overwhelmed right now. I just finished my 4 days on, and now have 3 days off to do some internal and external housekeeping.)
I'll stop back later to catch up...

hi everyone

no af yet, just feel kind of crampy.

melanie, did you do your 4 days in a row? that would make anyone feel overwhelmed i would think. it is so hard to take care of everyone in our lives and ourselves i think. i hope you can get some nice quality family/recoup time today.

lisa, glad dh is home. it is not easy when they go, that is for sure. thanks for the info on the luteal phase. i should probably have known that;-) i got my new workouts and previewed last night. tomorrow i will try the bootcamp and kickbox cardio - today was too nice a morning not to run. glad you found the brownies delicious. the day i had a cookie, i did not even find it delicious - ate it anywaysx( - how is that for stress response???

Morris, the follicular phase (begins the 1st day of menses and ends with ovulation) varies, but the luteal phase is fairly consitent at 14 days (+ or - a day or two). So, your period begins 14 days (+ or - a day or two) after ovulation. S0, if you ovulate on day 20, your period would be due day 34 ((+ or -a day or two).

Lisa, glad DH is home. I really miss DH when he is gone. I don't know how single moms do it. My friend is a single mom with 4 kids, well one is out of the house now. Her life is so busy.

Morris, I am sorry you've been hormonal. I don't think people realize how miserable it is for those of us experiencing crazy hormones. It isn't fun.

Jen, I hope your friend is doing ok. Miscarriage is go hard.

Melanie, enjoy your time off. Don't work to hard though.

I completed all 5 BBC workkouts, but I did sub spinning for the non-treadmill cardio twice. I added classical stretch too. The classical stretch workouts have really helped my knees. BTW, DH and I had fun this week. ;-) I will probably begin testing 10 days after my estimated day of ovulation. I am naughty like that... sometimes I begin 7 days after.

Autumn

i'm pregnant!!!!!!

sorry, no preamble. i am just in shock. i did not hink i was at all, and i thought i was a day too early to tell. the nurse talked to dh before i got home from work. she said i should start progesterone supplementation and call on monday, probably for another hcg level. i am just in shock. and so ridiculously happy. anyways, i wanted to share with you all.

bbl

YEAH! I'm so excited for you Morris!!! I KNEW it would happen to one of us real soon, I'm glad it was YOU.

Keep us posted with ALL the details. ;) You know we're super nosey over here. ;)
