TTC Check In July 8

Hello ladies! It's been a really full weekend for me, but I'm happy to say that I worked out 5 times this week! Yay, but boo on the eating. I've been trying, but I have to start new this week.

Melanie - I took one vacation day on Friday which I spent all day running around doing errands. I'm taking another part vacation day on Monday or Tuesday and I'm hoping I can just relax! I'll probably use up my last 3 days of vacation while my kids are on a one week break before school starts. How's the move going along?

Morris, Anne, Autumn - How are you guys doing? Would love to hear from you!

I had a friend who was a close friend for a long time, but I think I'm just not going to invest anymore time in our friendship. She's constantly trying to one up me and compare herself to me. She makes remarks about how she rather be married to her husband instead of one like mine (she's friends with my DH also and knows him) and wouldn't want children like mine who fight with each other (she has one child and pg with #2) and always wants to know how much money we make and then makes a remark like, "I wouldn't take a job that paid less than ....." when her and her DH have financial issues! I'm like yeah, that's it, I feel no need to talk to you anymore. My other friend who knows her says she says these things because she's super insecure and it's her way of making herself feel better, but don't invest anymore time into the friendship. Sorry for the long vent, but I just had to get it out. She called me yesterday and made that remark about my kids fighting and I just told her goodbye.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Lisa

Oh my gosh Lisa! She sounds like a real winner. I hate it when people try to be competitive in stuff like that. I'm sorry, but I don't have kids, but I know they're going to fight! Heck, she should've seen me and my siblings. We really were good kids, but you're going to have the occasional fight here and there. I think it's actually healthy sometimes to fight. Just wait until she has her second and she'll see it's not so easy and you'll never have 'perfect' kids and if you do, they'll end up with issues later in life. Trust me, I've seen it. Sorry she's so rotten to you. Good to distance yourself from negative people like that. It's good that you're being the bigger person too about it and letting it go.

Well, I got back from the High risk OB today and found out that I don't have any issues with the Anti-Cardio antibodies, so it's not an issue of the baby getting enough blood and I don't have clotting issues, so that's good. I do have the thyroid antibodies, which means I may be hypothyroid in the future, but my last tests were in the normal range, so they aren't worried about that.

They did draw blood for a possible chromosomal issue (he said so much, I can't remember now), but it's something between Jim's and my chromosomes and if something is screwed up in one of us it can cause issues for the baby when our stuff gets together. If we do have this, there's nothing they can do for it, but we may have our answer. That's not to say that this can happen each time either, so we can still have a normal healthy child.

So, basically the gist of my story is that they are chalking it up to just chromosomal issues with the baby and we can keep trying after a normal cycle. He suggested waiting after a few...but I'm not sure I can wait, especially since DH has low counts too. He did put me on baby aspirin 1/day (I can't remember why and need to ask Jim again) and said that if I get pregnant in the future to call them and they'll start me on Progesterone right away, in case that's the problem. So, that makes me feel good for the next time.

I need to start eating better too. I gave myself 2 weeks to eat crappy since the m/c and I need to get back on track now to be at my healthiest. Starting to be more consistent on the workouts too.

Great job Lisa on the 5 workouts last week! Ok, done writing my book now.

Hi Morris, Melanie, Autumn, hope you're all well!

Chat soon,
Anne

Hi ladies!! Well... here they come... as soon as I get started. :)
My kids have great radar.

I'll be back.

hi everyone

anne, glad you are getting some info - can they tell you for sure about chromosomal issues? that is exciting to think of starting to try aagain.

lisa, how are things going for you this month? great job on the workouts!

hi autumn!

melanie, hopw you are not too stressed about money. sounds like all the puzzle pieces are in place, and that is great.

i am enjoying a bit of quiet now that all the guests are gone. my parents were the last to leave, and it is bittersweet as i was just starting to relax and enjoy things when they left. but, i gues i am lucky they came. i am watching ds right now just about to start to walk. he is amazingly cautious, but so close. still waIting for af - no idea how long it will take. guess i just need to be aptient. i am suer excited for cathe's new workouts. i have been runnign a lot and doing some step and kickboxing, but new stuf is always fun.

better run - finn is into mishief!

Anne - I hope everything works out and you get pg soon! I'm glad your drs are proactive about your situation. Thanks for your words of comfort regarding my "friend." Are you still waiting to TTC?

Morris - Have you thought about going to the dr and finding out what is the normal wait for AF to show up after bfing? Congrats to Finn for his first steps!

Hi Autumn! Hi Melanie!

I've been feeling so wiped out. My nephew leaves this Friday which I'm sad about, but our house will be back to normal so maybe I won't be as tired. My ds will be very sad when he leaves. I'm just waiting to o this month. Another week I believe.

Hope everyone has a great hump day!

Hello Everyone,
I am just here to introduce myself, as I am trying for #2 (as of last month). Hopefully you have room for me on your weekly check-in post. My name is Jen, I have a little boy named Andy who is a little over 2 years old, I live in PA, I am a first grade teacher and a wife to a teacher. No, our son doesn't get away with
anything;-) . I am home for the summer, and I have been getting back on track with my workouts. I try to workout 5-6 times a week (in a good week). By the way, I LOVE Cathe's workouts, and I have been doing them for years.

I don't think I am pregnant yet, and I am due to begin my period tomorrow. I feel regular cramping/not pregnancy aches and pains, so I seriously doubt I am pregnant. My dr. told me NOT to take any early pregnancy tests because they can read a false positive sometimes (he explained why, but I don't remember the specifics). He just said that some ladies get really excited when they take the test early and it shows that they are preg., only to panic when they get their periods. He said it had something to do with horomone levels? That's how I found out I was pregnant the first time, but I will listen to him anyway.

I have rambled on enough, and my son is coming up the stairs with daddy to go to sleep, so I am off.

I look forward to "talking" with all of you.
-Jen:)

Welcome Jen! Hello to other TCC ladies!!!

Whew. What a week, what a month. I"m super exhausted and cannot seem to get enough sleep (such a blessing NOT to be pg right now). Anyhew... we are moving on the 30th. Another countdown. EIGHTEEN days!!!!

I"ve been trying to workout, but it's been too windy outside to run and my workout gear is packed and sitting at our new home. I had a french pedicure today at a local spa...DH bought me a certificate last year for my b-day and it is about to expire...so I had no choice but to use it. It was a lot nicer than I had remembered it being years ago when I had it done at a beauty school...I STILL wouldn't buy one for myself though. I DID buy the new Cathe DVDs, since I have my new address. I look forward to doing them in my new exercise room! ;)

Talk to everyone soon. :D

Hi Jen! Welcome! Looking forward to getting to know you! Are you planning on doing opks or temping?

Melanie - Sounds like everything is falling into place!

Hello Anne, Autumn, and Morris!

Sorry for the lame post, but I've been so exhausted from work and everything going on at once. I haven't been on the computer much and I'm hoping that things will slow down soon. My sister is getting married, kids are starting school, setting up a new computer system at work, and just life has been keeping me busy!! I am scheduled to ovulate sometime next week so cross your fingers for me. Although, like Melanie, what would I do if I was pg - I think I'll fall over from exhaustion! Anyway, I still have to preorder my Cathe dvds among a list of other "to do's." I promise to post more this weekend. Planning on some yoga and pilates to unwind tonight.

Can't wait to see posts from you ladies!!

Lisa

Hi Girls,
I enjoyed reading all of your posts, and I feel I got to know you a little better. I am still waiting for my period (now 1 day late). I am usually on time. I had been on the Nuva Ring for bc since 4/05 (after having my son), and I stopped using it about 3 months ago. So, since 3 months ago, things have surprisingly been normal with my cycle. Hmmmmmm...I am SO tempted to buy a test. So, I should know for sure in a few days.

Lisa-I need to preorder too. I said I wasn't going to since I still have yet to use the last DVDs in her series regularly. But, after seeing all the blog updates, I want them!

Autumm-I know all about that kid radar! As soon as I sit down to do any work, he gets this sudden interest in me and whatever I am doing:) .

Melanie-I would love an exercise room. I am sure you will make good use of it. I could also use a pedi (I haven't gotten one in a year). I know what you mean about not wanting to spend the $ on them. They don't come cheap!

Morris-My in-laws were at our house for a visit this past week. I love when they come (at first), but then I can't wait to get my house and life back to normal.

Anne-I wish you the best when you TTC. My prayers are with you.

I think that is everyone.

Now, I have a ?...What is "OPKS"? I think I know what temping is (taking your temp to see when you are ovulating)-right?

Talk to you soon!
-Jen

Jen - Sorry to hear the news. I've been off the pill since January of this year, but didn't officially start trying until 4 months ago. I'm supposed to ovulate sometime next week. I've been stressed so I don't think it's been helping me with TTC. I need a massage, pedi, and just a whole day at the spa. Although I probably couldn't bring myself to spending that kind of money.

I spent all day doing the team mom thing. Took dd to ballet and then right after that went to ds' opening football season potluck where I ended up signing up dd for cheerleading. Now I have a full schedule for the next six months. I've been bad with my workouts this week. If I workout today that will make 3 for the week. Sad, I know. And my eating has not been great, not bad, but not great. I burned my stomach from a hot tea spill a few days ago, and it's been making me wary of sweating on the burns so I've been a little paranoid about working out. I'll probably wait until the sun goes down and go for a run. Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

Lisa
