Hello ladies! I hope everyone had a nice weekend and looking forward to a great week! I spent all day shopping today and am ready to hit the sack. I did a whopping 3 workouts last week. I'm going to the gym tomorrow to a kickbox class. I'll let you guys know how that goes. I did preorder the Cathe dvds yesterday and also ordered GS Chests & Tris at the same time. I'm excited for that to come in soon.

Sorry for the lack of personals, but I'm pooped. Can't wait to hear from everyone!

thanks for starting us off. sorry you are so wiped out - i hate starting a week that way. it is a crazy monday here, so i am looknig forward t tuesday mainly. had a great weekend though - we went bike riding. it was no workout, by any means, but so much fun. finn loves his bike seat:)

hi melanie, hope you are keeping your sanity. moving is no fun, for sure, but it will be over soon.

Morris - Do you want to go in on a clean eating challenge with me? I really need to and it helps when I have others to help me keep on track. I should be ovulating in the next few days. My opks are still coming out negative, but the line is getting darker so probably soon.

I'm almost done with the kids' back to school shopping. All that is left is the tissue, wipes, etc.. which I'm just going to pick up the weekend before so it's not just sitting around in my house taking up space.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

Anne - How's things going? I'll drop you a line on FF if you're still on there.

lisa, that sounds really good to me. i am kind of bummed b/c my weight is osscillating (sp?) up or steady at 2 lbs since stopping nursing. i know, 2 lbs is no big deal, but i feel better lighter. i have cut back on what i eat and am exercising fine, but i think it is an adjustment without the nursing. i have been doing okay with the clean food, but too much of it, so i will work on portions and staying clean and hopefully we can keep each other motivated!

back to school shopping already? that is nuts!
 
Morris - Thanks so much, I really need the accountability. I know what you mean about the 2lbs. I haven't been on the scale for a few weeks now because I can just obsess over one or two pounds. I went for a run yesterday, but I swear it's making my thighs bigger so I might start doing more step again. I ate pretty well today and limited my portions so I hope I do okay with dinner. Not sure what's on the menu, but I'll have to keep it healthy. I can't wait for the new Cathe dvds. I'm still waiting for my GS Chests & Tri's. So how was your day today?

Hi ladies,
It's late, but wanted to check in and say a big HI to everyone. Nothing much new here. Working on getting the extra bedroom ugly border down. Now, I just have to sand, patch work and then get it ready for painting! I figured it was a good time to do it while I'm not preggers yet, so when the time comes, we'll be ready to decorate the room and the painting will be all done and I won't have to stress.

I too have been trying to eat really clean Lisa. I actually came home from the market with only fresh vegetable, fruit and 1 box of cereal. Nothing else in a box or can! I was pretty proud of myself.

I'm not sure the running helps me as much either. Probably bc I can't do it regularly enough to make a difference because of my bad knees. I did find that my legs are getting a lot less flabby by doing 3 days of the weight leg workouts (either GS legs or Butts and guts). I'm going to stick with that, but it does nothing if you don't eat clean, so still working on that.

my clean eating went okay yesterday - only processed things were 1.5 kashi granola bars - i love them, and 2 tiny pieces dark chocolate. we will see how today goes. how was your day, lisa? i also think my portions went pretty well. unfortunately, i feel totally bloated and gross today. not sure why.
 
Hi Everyone!

I have not done a workout since Sundayx( , but I plan to either walk for about an hour or do a Cathe workout later tonight. My period is just about done, so time to get ready to try again! I have been keeping track of my periods, and I have been using a free online ovulation calendar, but nothing other than that. If I don't get pregnant this time, I will consider using an OPK (now that I know what OPK means;-) ). What days is a woman most fertile? I am too lazy to look it up:) . From what I remember, it is from day 12-16? O.K., I made that up, but it's somewhere around the middle.

Wow Lisa! I can't believe you are done school shopping already! I am a teacher, so I cringe when I go into Target, etc. and see all the back-to-school displays;( . To me, that means that the end of the summer is near. Well, actually it's not, but the way the stores put out stuff SO early, it sure makes you want to think so. You actually are smart to get the shopping done and out of the way. You have the best selection and awesome sale prices now! I am so tempted to preorder also...

Morris-I have been trying to eat clean all summer. My mom introduced me to The Daily Plate (online), but it seems a lot more difficult to use than WW online. Maybe I should just use a pen and paper and keep track that way!

Anne- I have been incorporating more running into my weekly workouts. I downloaded one itrain workout using a free code I saw on the "open disc." forum right here. I like it, but I don't love it. At least it helps me time my intervals better. My bun and thigh area are my worst spots!

Well, I am off. This room is about 100 degrees, and I need a popsicle!

Things are going well. Super busy, but good busy.

Today is my birthday. 34 years old, my eggs are a year older now. :( We'll have to get busy soon. :D :D :D

Ughh...I could only wish my eggs were still only 34 years old...another 6 months and mine will be 38 and no kids yet...:(

:) :) :) :) :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELANIE!!!!! Hope your day was awesome!! Hey, you're like a month younger than me so that means my eggs are getting old also!

Anne - Don't worry about being 38 soon. My ob had her first baby around 38 and she just had her second at 40/41. I know she had some difficulties getting pg with the first, but the second was an "oops" baby so don't lose hope. My ob also told me that 40% of her patients that are pregnant are between 35-40.

Morris - I did pretty well today and even kept small portions. I do have this overwhelming urge right now to eat a Riesen chocolate. 40 calories in one, but 40 calories of sugar I'm sure. Inspired by Anne, I bought all healthy foods at Sam's Club today so let's hope I pack my lunch and not buy any junk! Maybe that bloating is a sign of AF making her visit!

Jen - What grade do you teach? I'm sending my kids to public school this year and feeling a little anxious, but I'm okay about it. They were at a private school, but I think as long as I stay an active part of their academics, they should be fine. BTW, as far as your ovulation goes, count how long your cycles are and you can roughly tell from there around when you might be ovulating. You want to get your DH to make his deposit before you ovulate and then on the day you ovulate. Anything after that is usually too late. I'm a late ovulator and only figured that out by temping and doing the opks which has helped us time our babymaking sessions better.

Autumn - Hey woman, I hope things are going well for you.

I'm going to do Gym Style BSB tonight since I've been slacking on the weights and overdoing the cardio. I'm also going to do some pilates because my middle is feeling soft. I got another positive on my opk today so wish me luck! It's so great to hear from everyone!

hi lisa - i know what you mean about cravings - i wanted fat, sweet, and a lot of it yesterday. didn't do so hot with the lcean eating and am even more bloated today (i succombed to some ice cream and another jkashi car and 2 mini peppermint patties:(((. but, today is another day, so i am challenging myself.

anne, my friend had twins at 37 and another baby at 39 - it happens!

jen, how are things with you?

i am excited for the new workouts, though not excited to go buy some more dumbbells - i don't have 25's and 30's. i am going back to gym styles next week after a 3 week hiatus on endurance work. lots of running too. i love the gym styles though - fun!
 
Morris - I ended up eating a piece of Reisen and some jelly bellies. And I didn't even workout because my stupid work laptop got corrupted and I had to fix it. That took 3 hours of my time. Very fustrating. Tonight for sure though. How's it going for you so far? It's still morning here so we'll see how today goes. I'm packing my meals today.

I don't know if I can handle 30lb dumbbells. I do have 25lb ones though. I preordered my dvds already and I can't wait. Still waiting for my GS CT to come in.

well, today i worked thru lunch, so no snacking for me! what kind of 25's do you have? the metal hexagonal ones? dh is going away again next week, and that is when i do my shopping}( i will probably get some then.
 
Morris - The 25's I have are actually the ones that you have to put the weights on yourself. It came with my barbell and I just use that instead of spending more money on extra dumbbells. I think I could acutally just add on two 2.5 lb plates and make 30 lb dumbbells on those also. It's bulky compared to the hexagonal dumbbells, but it's okay. Now, confession time - I ate s'mores last night. Everything else was pretty good until 9pm last night! Oh well. I did do my GS BSB though.

what did you think of the gym style workout?

i got sick last night middle of the night and assumed i would not work out this am. i slept in a timy bit for me (5am instead of 4:30am) but felt good so i did drill amx. i like that one better in the premix form - all cardio or all total body. i felt awful after though i did it as is. i am struggling to get thru work right now - feel like i have the flu.

the smores alone aren't too bad, lisa, if the rest of your dad was good. my day was okay yesterday other than a little chocolate. so far today is fine except a little more choclate - there is a theme:)

anyways, i had hoped to feel good so i could go for a nice walk with ds. we will see.

any fun weekend plans?

I teach 1st grade, and I have been in public schools for 9 years now (wow-that's hard to believe!). I am sure your children will be fine in public schools. Just stay involved-like you said you planned to. If you have any other ?, just let me know.

Well, it's about time to start trying for a baby again. I hope all goes well.

My DH and I are actually going on a date tomorrow (well, just down the street to a neighbor's house for a party-but without our son). We may take a ride over to Hershey Park tomorrow (during the day) since the weather will be so nice. That usually means a visit to good ol' Chocolate World. We live about 15 minutes away from Hershey Park, so we go there often.

That's it for me. I did do some research online about OPK's. Does anyone have a favorite one? Let me know.

Hey gang! My pants are getting uncomfortably tight. I am seriously going to have to go on a healthy food kick!! Just 9 more days and I'll be in my new home...I HAVE to wait until then.

Jen, I'd try the cheapest OPK first...they're all accurate & expensive.

Morris, hmmmmmmmm nausea?

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my "old" egg comment. I"m so lucky to have three wonderfully healthy boys. It just doesn't seem fair that I'm able to be a mommy to THREE boys and others haven't had the joy of ONE. I almost feel greedy for wanting more. :( We are so blessed, and if God decides not to open my womb to another baby---He is in control, and I am still blessed!

Anne, sounds like your working hard toward eating right! Way to go! I'm going to seriously detox soon, I feel so yucky drinking all those Mountain Dews again!!! Here we go again!!!!

Jen - I bought mine off of babyhopes.com because you can get great deals on opks and pregnancy strips because they can get costly if you buy them from the store.

Melanie - 9 more days...how exciting! Did you sell your house yet?

Morris - Yesterday was okay. Luckily I fell asleep early before I could stuff something sweet into my mouth. However, I did manage to eat 2 pieces of chocolate at work. :( And no workout yesterday because I fell asleep.

Anne - I got your pm. I'm doing okay. My temps are doing weird things this cycle. Wondered if you could take a look and tell me your opinion on when you think I o'ed.

I'm off to pick up the Harry Potter book this morning after dd's ballet class. Any Harry Potter fans here?
