Happy Sunday ladies!!! I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I had a pretty good weekend. I spent the weekend organizing and cleaning my house which felt really good. I worked out 5x last week. I did KickMax, yoga, P90x workouts, GS BSB, and some other cardio and pilates. My eating was up and down this week. I'm determined to make this week better though. I found some healthy recipes that I'm hoping to make.

I am waiting to see if AF shows up this week. I have 5 more days until d-day so we'll see what happens.

Can't wait to hear from everyone else!

Lisa

hi lisa thanks for starting us up. great job with the workouts and the house work this weekend. i definately need to do some major organizing. i seem to have lost all motivation though. i hope af stays away this week. do you feel pretty good?

hi melanie - hope you are having some luck selling your house. is work still crazy?

hi jen, autumn, anne - how are you all?

i had a wonderfully relaxing weeekend with dh and ds. i am so glad we are all back together - i feel truly blessed. i had some good workouts last week. i ran a lot, did bm2 double upper body , and butts and guts timesaver premix. can't remember what else. i have my dr apptment tomorrow to see if my doc thinks i need to go back for shots to get started. i feel very mixed about that, but, i will post more later. have to go into an appointment. hope to hear from everyone

Morris - I'm glad that you're all back together. Good luck at the dr's appt. As for me, not feeling hopeful right now. We'll see...

HI all,
Been a busy last week for me. Had to run back to WI to see my Aunt. She was diagnosed with Breast cancer last year and now it's spread to her liver, lungs and brain. I had to go back to say good-bye before it was too late. She's only in her 50's and she looks very old. I was happy that she still knew me. I told her that she was my favorite Aunt and her face just lit up and she got a big smile on her face. I think it made her day. I'm just really depressed and can't believe she'll be gone soon. She's really bloated in her stomach, so a sign that her liver is failing quickly. I'm afraid I'll be back soon for a funeral. :-(

Sorry, I don't have a lot of time for personals.

I'm getting injections for my knees on Thursday for my osteoarthritis. It's so painful these days and Doctor is making me quit running and my high impact sports. :( Seems like that's the only thing that helps me keep the weight off and in shape. She suggested swimming of course, but then I'll have to pay to get a membership with a pool. Just can't afford that.

Really stormy here and tornado's, so signing off. Just wanted to pop in quick to say Hi and hope you're all doing well.

Anne

Anne - I'm so sorry about your aunt. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. DH and I had a friend when we first got married who was close to our age die of cancer. We saw him the night he died to say our goodbyes. It was really hard seeing him look so different. I'm glad you got to see her and brighten her day. Sorry about the knees also! Can you ride bike or take spinning classes?

Anyway, I'm having bad TMJ right now. I think I'm grinding my teeth at night. My enamel from my back tooth is already worn out so I'm thinking I might just have to get those mouth guards to sleep with. I have to confess that I have been so unmotivated to work out this week. I worked out a little on Sunday night, but skipped yesterday and today I'm just not feeling it.

Hope everyone is doing well. Jen, I hope you're feeling better.

Lisa

Hi ladies! How are ya doing? I am busy with a continuing ed course and homeschooling. You are not gonna believe this... I am browsing through the Cathe Roadtrip Pics and who do I find... my SIL!!!!! I guess you can tell we aren't close. What a small world!!!

anne, i am so sorry about your aunt. i am very very glad you got to see her though. sounds like she was quite happy to see you too. i hope your knees feel better with the injections. that must be so painful. hope all else is going well.

lisa, hope your tmj is better. i too feel unmotivated to workout. also have been having too many carbs - these things seem to go hand in hand i think

hi autumn - great to hear from you. how many ce courses will you take?

well, i went to my dr yesterday and she gave me the green light to see a specialist. she agrees it is unlikely i will just start cycling. i called to make an appointment with the specialist and she is booking into november. a bit discouraging, but i will just have to be patient. i am not sure how everyone feels about getting help getting pregnant. i was so gung ho to do it the first time, i really did not care about the risks - i just wanted a baby. now , with number 2, i feel a bit selfish for wanting it again. i was blessed once - am i asking for too much? i will try to think positive thoughts and do all i can. the rest is in God's hands. i am very very fortunate in that for the next 18mons, all treatment is covered by insurance. another reason to try now.

melanie, jen, how are you guys?

lisa, still feeling like af is coming?

Morris - If you guys want another one, then get whatever help you need to get you there esp. if insurance will cover it. I would do it asap and not wait because I have a friend who waited and she's regretting it now. She hasn't exhausted all her options, but everything takes time so I think she wished she just started the whole process sooner. This is for her second child also. Did your ob give you other options while you wait to get in to see the specialist?

Autumn - Hi there! How do you like homeschooling? How old is your child that you're homeschooling?

I started spotting today and I'm feeling so sluggish. I know a good workout would get me going, but I'm feeling so blah. I can't wait for my vacation in November. Work has been stressful. Sorry for whining. I'm just having one of those weeks.

Melanie, Jen - Hope everything is going well with you guys.

TTYL!

Lisa

I guess I've been AWOL, but I have been lurking...just too busy to post.
Anne, I"m sorry about your joints. That's tough, I know I'd be really bumming if I couldn't do high intensity workouts. Thank God for Cathe's low intensity workouts!!!

Morris, I too feel selfish for wanting another one sometimes. I feel so blessed to have 3 healthy boys, who am I to ask for more when others can't have one? I have no opinion for getting fertility "assistance", I don't think I would do it b/c at this point in my life I"m content and if I'm blessed with another one I am...if I'm not then it wasn't in His plan. HOWEVER, if I didn't have 3 wonderful kiddos and I had a history of conception difficulty I would certainly contemplate it!

Lisa, you seem so busy. I"ve never had TMJ, I heard it's uncomfortable.

Autumn, nice to hear from you. Too funny about SIL on website. I should check out how the DVD progress is coming along.

Work is good, no interest in our home that's for sale, family is good. Not much for workouts just too darn busy!

Will check in later. Take care!!

morris, I am taking one course. It is to become a Marquette Model teacher (another NFP method that uses the Clearblue Fertility Monitor).

Lisa, I homeschool our 7 y/o DD. She is in 2nd grade. It is mostly good... there are ups and downs though. :)

Melanie, it was so strange finding someone I know. I like the idea of anonymity... KWIM? I felt so comfortable sharing personal stuff (perosnal to me is discussing our miscarriage, infertility, death of my parents, etc.) that I don't share with people I know in my real life except my closest friends. I know, I know... I'm whacky. :p

Ladies, I know what you mean about feeling selfish... I feel that way too. ;(

Autumn - Too funny about the SIL. Is that your DH's sister or your brother's wife? Do you think she posts on the forums also? How funny that she ends up being a Cathe person too! BTW, I like your quote.

Lisa

She is my BIL's wife. She has a few posts.

I like the quote too. :) I thought about changing it to
~Never be afraid to do something new. Remember, amateurs built the ark; professionals built the titanic.

I dunno though.

Autumn

Autumn, I am just like you as far as info goes. I love the forum b/c I can tell you guys EVERYTHING! Ha ha. I like the 2nd quote best.)

thanks for the positive words regarding getting help in ttc. i don't know why it makes such a difference to me, but it does, so thanks. as far as what to do in the meantime before i see the dr, nothing. i started the pill b/c i need to have at least 1 cycle before we can start, and i do cycle when i am on the pill. hopefully i will be able to get in sooner and get things rolling.

melanie, i am sorry the house isn't selling. glad you can at least lurk though. how are the mountain dew's going?

autumn, sounds like an exciting fall for you. that is great.

lisa, are you going to take any time off? we are going on a fun trip in 2 weeks to a national park up near us. 3 days of hiking and bike riding and relaxing. i am so excited.

Melanie, I feel better to know I am not the only one. I may change my quote... hmmm... I have cut way back on my fountain sodas... one a week maybe... my knew addiction... sweet tea from McDonald's. The tea helped me wean off soda, so I have to give up the tea next. I admit I like a bit of tea with my sugar. :)

Morris, I hope you get into the doc soon.

BTW, I've decided we aren't selfish. Just thought I'd let y'all know that. :) I don't find it selfish when women don't want children... and I don't find it selfish when women do... but I find it selfish when women give motherhood no thought. KWIM? Of course, there are exceptions to this since I know some women who have had children for selfish reasons.

Autumn/Melanie - I say so much on the boards that I don't do in "real life" I guess you could say also. I always wondered though if someone could "detect" a "friend" from just reading posts.

Morris - The vacation sounds like fun. We're traveling to California and Phoenix in November. Phoenix is just for the weekend for a family wedding and then a week in So. CA. We're doing the whole Disneyland thing and maybe Sea World. I would love to do a hiking trip.

Autumn - I like your thought on the women and children. I've heard of women trying to get pg to keep the guy and that's one I don't like hearing about. DH had two coworkers who were just sleeping together and the girl tried really hard to get pg so the guy would commit to her. Bad news.

Anyway, I had like half a workout this week. I really do intend on working out tonight though. Better get back to work. Oh, and I have this intense craving to eat my PMS away right now.

Lisa

Lisa, that is what I mean when I say women who give no thought to being a mother/raising a child. Or women who are engaging in risky behaviors with no thought to the consequences (I have a friend in this situation, and I have just not been able to congratulate her). It is 2007... I think we (adults anyway) all know how babies are made. :)

I did two workouts... yes, that is it. :-( I did order a couple of kettlebell workouts. I hope a change may motivate me.
