Good Morning Ellie & all the Peeps

Ellie - After your class with Cathe yesterday your running laps? Brave Lady :)

I plan on doing a 40-60min. run today.

My youngest is home sick once again, she was complaining of a sore throat. This morning she is running a fever and told me her two best friends also have sore throats and were not in school yesterday - ugh!

Have a great Day all - I'll be the one drinking Airborne & Emergen-C throughout the day

Good luck with that, ellie.

Vilma, stay healthy!

I have a busy day off involving some babysitting, some MIL sitting and some church business. I hope to fit in a cardio workout somewhere in there.

Have a wonderful day.

Happy Tuesday Peepers:eek::eek::eek:

Ellie, hope you survive your run

Vilma, hope you survive the illness in your home :(

Robin, hope you survive all the "sitting" you're doing today. Did you get Tracey's w/o yesterday? I was hoping to see them when I got home but didn't :(

Hi early morning Peeps & all who follow!

I'm getting ready for my dental appointment & since my DH decided my help wouldn't be needed at the property we're working on today, I'll come back & do my kickbox & leg workout after. I'm so glad I don't need to work today but I think I'll need to work on Wednesday & Thursday, at least... maybe Friday too. I'm going to be helping to grout tile, though, & I don't look forward to it one bit... but at least I'm doing something.

Ellie - Oh my... Cathe's class really beat you up - LOL! Sounds like you really enjoyed it, though, & I only wish I could go someday too. Hope you make it through your 20 laps... & then I hope you can take it easy!

Vilma - So sorry you're dealing with a sick child today. I hope it's nothing serious & I hope she feels better soon. I also hope you don't come down with anything. Enjoy your run today!

Robin - Sounds like you have a busy day off. Hope it goes well & I hope you fit in your cardio later too.

Catherine - Hey! Hope you have a great day today. What workout do you have planned?

Oh, I better get moving. It's 20 till 8 & my appointment is at 8:15. It will probably only take me about 10 or 15 minutes to get there but I don't want to be late.

Take care everyone & I'll BBL!

Kel

Morning Peeps~

I did KPC yesterday and my hammies are cranky today. I'm feeling nostalgic so this morning will be Power Hour. I am forcing myself to do a couple weeks of endurance type workouts as I've been focusing on strength for the last couple months.

Ellie- You are so lucky to live near Cathe's gym and can take in live classes. Good luck on your 20 laps today!

Vilma- Have a good run today. Will you be doing a CC with that? Sending good health vibes your way so DD gets better and you can fight off that bug.

Robin- I hope you get a little time today for yourself! From reading your posts, I can see you are a very kind and giving person and I'm glad to get to know you....even if it's just in cyber space;)

Catherine- Are you still doing your pullups & chinups? The other day DH, DS, DD, and I had a little contest on who could do the most. I came in 3rd:mad: At least I beat DH;)

Kel- Hope your dental appt. goes well. Have fun with your KB & legs w/o today.

Have a great day everyone and all who follow:D

JJ

Hola Peepers!

I rebounded today with BootCamp. Man, this one really kills me and gives me lots of room to go. But after my break last week, I feel like I needed a big jump start to get going.

Houdini had a great night last night--when it was bedtime, she walked into her room, over to her bed, and sat on it. I told her "nite nite" and she just said in a teeny voice, "OK, Mom!" It was so cute. Of course, this morning she was sleeping next to the door, but hey, she's sleeping. Oh! She ripped her nightlight out of the wall last night, so Houdini was in pitch black darkness...Good to know it didn't spook her!!

Today is a busy busy day (conference call in 15 minutes) so I need to digress from storytelling and get to shout outs:

Ellie: GO ELLIE GO! GO ELLIE GO! That's my chant for running 20 laps around the gym. :)

Vilma: Oh, I hope your DS feels better soon. Step is going around here something serious, so I'm hoping that's not it!!

Robin: Your day off doesn't sound like a day off, LOL!

Catherine--Got the coffee on yet? LOL! I've flavored mine with CoffeeMate Gingerbread today...yummy. (OK, it's the office tar so not yummy but much improved thanks to CoffeeMate...)

Kel--What property are you working on? Are you flipping a house?

JJ--Enjoy Power Hour today. The squats on that one kill me...

:) Wendy

Wendy, coffee is always on at my house in the morn. Feel free to come on over and join in!!

Kel, have fun with KB and at the dentist  I am planning B&G this evening!!

JJ, a chinup contest :eek: I am still doing them, though a bit nonconsistently :( Must get back to them

Hi Peeps! I have been reading but just don't have ambition to post much.

But Heather I was thinking of you all day and I am sending you happy thoughts!

PEEPS have a healthy and happy day ! I enjoy reading all you posts, and will try to say Hi periodically.

PS workout today: 3 mile TM run with i Tread #5 first 30 minutes. ( 3 hills 8%,8% , 10% which i forced myself to jog and not walk. And Yogilates section 3 (35 minutes)

Hi everyone. I did an icycle workout last night and it was great. Tonight I am going to tackle Supersets. I really love the music in this workout.

I'm having a tough day today. My dad is recovering well, but now his doctor wants him to do some clinical trial for an FDA approved drug in order to see if it prevents recurrence of kidney tumors. I guess I just kind of put the thought of recurrence in the back of my head and was focused on him getting better. Now, I am just kind of sad again thinking about what might happen. I know that you can't live like that, but I think that I just need to deal with this in my head and I will be fine. I liked having my head in the clouds and not thinking about this kind of stuff. He is meeting the the oncologist that is part of the clinical trial and will get more info. Then he is meeting with an independent oncologist (not part of the clinical trial) to get their opinion. I just hope that we can make a well informed choice

Ellie – sorry that you are sore today. I am sure that you will still kick butt at the race for education. Icycle is an mp3 workout that I use on my spinning bike. Some people use it outdoors, but I would be afraid riding on the road with earphones in my ears.

Vilma – hope you have a great run and sorry your youngest isn’t feeling well. Flexible Warrior is a yoga workout put out by Spinervals. There are three of them. I like volume 3 because it has 3 15-20 min segments that are specific for cycling, swimming, and running. I try to do the cycling segment after every bike ride and I do the running one after my jog/walk workouts.

Robin – your day off sounds very busy. I hope you have some time for yourself.

Catherine – did you order Tracey’s hi lo and step workouts? I ordered the hi lo and it arrived yesterday. I didn’t even preview it yet.

Kel – glad to see you back. I hope the dentist appt isn’t too bad.

JJ – I did PH recently after focusing on lifting heavier and it kicked my butt.

Wendy – great job with BC today. I’m glad to hear Houdini is sleeping through the night. Have fun with your conference call.

Dani – can you see your desk today :D?

Heather - how are you doing today?

Hey Peeps... I'm back...

The dentist appointment went surprisingly well since I went through a spell where I wasn't flossing like I should. When I returned, I did 4DS KB warm up, KM Blast & leg drills only, 4DS legs, & finished with the rest of the 4DS KB & stretch. I decided to go ahead & do another longer workout since I won't be able to do as much for the rest of the week. I'm not even sure if I'll have time to check in or not but I'll try...

JJ - KPC is still one of my absolute faves. I don't have PH or any of Cathe's older workouts but I'd like to get them someday. Next week, I plan to get back to endurance too.

Wendy - Oh my... Bootcamp... what a rebound! Glad Houdini is still sleeping through the night & glad the darkness didn't scare her. To answer your question, my DH is a contractor & in the past few years, we have acquired a couple of multi-family rental properties that were in serious disrepair. So we've been working on the units as they become vacant. It's a lot of work but it will be worth it in the future. At least I hope so, anyway...

Catherine - Have fun with B&G tonight! Did I say "fun?" Yeah, I did!

Judy - Great workout today!

Karin - I'm so sorry you're having a tough time right now but I'm glad to hear your dad is still recovering well. I think it's difficult to work through these kind of situations & a person needs time to deal with everything that's involved. Like you said, I'm sure you will be fine after you've had some time to digest all of this new information & you can all make the right choices for your dad & your family. I will be thinking about you...

Well, I guess it's about lunchtime now. Boy, the day sure is flying by. My DH & I have a meeting to attend tonight in a town that's about 1 1/2 hours from here so I'll need to be ready to leave no later than 5. The good news (or bad news, depending on how you look at it) is that the meeting takes place at a great Mexican restaurant. So send me some willpower, please!

Have a great day, Peeps!

Kel

Peeps Check-in

Peeps:

Thanks for the hugs and warm fuzzies. What a sweet and supportive bunch of peeps we have here! Yes, I am feeling better today. I battle SAD. October is historically challenging for me until my body adjusts to the shorter days. I am a smiles and sunshine girl, and I need more light! Thankfully, light therapy helps. I have gained a few pounds this month, but I am keeping my head above the water and staying out of the pit of depression. No binge eating either, which is good news.

My workout yesterday morning was Low Max (intervals 1-4 premix) on the floor. I love the warm-up and all the mambos in this one! I am enjoying Cathe’s step workouts without a step. This gives me my cardio fix and keeps my knees happy.

I went to the post office during my lunch hour yesterday and received a nice surprise from a forum friend. Our favorite Cardio Coach evangelist blessed me with an autographed copy of Volume 3! I am looking forward to my first Cardio Coach workout this week. I added it to my iPod last night and missed my Zumba class because I was listening to Coach Sean and lost track of time! I love his voice! I love his gorgeous picture on the CD cover too! *wink* This will definitely make my recumbent bike workouts more effective and entertaining too! I tend to coast too much when I watch movies, and my attention wanders if I do not have something to help me keep my focus.

I revisited Muscle Max again this morning. I am looking forward to the 4-Day Split in November.

Ellie, can you crawl around the track? LOL! I am thinking about you today!

Vilma, I am praying for your daughter and drinking some Emergen-C in your honor. It keeps the colds at bay and gives me a burst of energy.

Robin, you are so kind and nurturing. You are always taking care of someone. You are such a blessing!

Catherine, I am looking forward to your review of Steady State Step. I am hoping that Cathe will make Rhythmic Step 2 someday! Step Sweatfest is my favorite Tracey workout. Let me know how the new one compares.

Kel, enjoy your kickboxing and leg workout.

JJ, I have not pulled out Power Hour in ages. I still have that one on VHS. I hope your hammies feel better soon.

Wendy, I love Boot Camp! Yes, I can do anything for a minute! The pumpkin patch pictures in your profile are adorable!

Catherine, have fun with Butts and Guts! That is my favorite lower body workout. I have a confession to make. I hate coffee! I love herbal tea and hot chocolate!

Judy, thanks for the happy thoughts. I can feel them!

Karin, I am keeping you and your father in my prayers. Hugs! I am feeling better today. Thank you for asking. I love the music in Supersets too! That is one of my happy workouts. I have fun playing with the stability ball. Have you ever done Cardio Coach on a bike? I can go faster for sprints, but what do I do for hills?

Blessings,
Heather B.

"So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Corinthians 10:31 NIV).

Peeps, I'm Pooped!!!

Did the stinkin' 20 laps, very slowly. 62 second graders beat me by like an hour!!!:eek::eek:
I'm watching House at 8pm and going to bed. I 'll see all in the morning
ellie

HI Peeps!

I’ll do my best to keep up with you all on the personals:

Ellie: You SO deserve your House time and beddy-bye! I’d be wiped out just walking into Cathe’s gym… You are so BRAVE! And then to walk laps today! All I can say is WOW!!!

Heather: I hope you realize how much of a blessing YOU are to this forum! I have read a number of your posts and am struck by your honesty and perseverance in the face of much adversity! You truly have a faith and attitude that I wish I had even a portion of! Thank you for openness and honesty!

Kel: sounds like you are busy busy busy! How long was that workout anyway? I would have been done shortly after the warm up, let alone do 3 or 4 more sections! Good Job! Have fun grouting! Your knees and back will let you know they areb being utilized if you end up doing that for several days in a row! Take care work safe!

Karin: SO sorry you are feeling down about your DF… (((hugz))) to you and will keep your family in my prayers! Any illness such as this is tough on everyone and it’s hard not to worry and dwell on the issue… I too am a worrier so I empathize with you! Keep us posted on how things are going! I did manage to find the top of my desk today so that’s a good thing! I felt like I actually got something accomplished today… now if it was only that easy to get a grip on my eating!

Judy: good job on the workout! I am still resisting the urge to get into CC or iTread… I don’t really like the treadmill, but will have to get back on it for cardio at some point.. DH typically is on it when I am doing my workout, and I don’t seem to get home early enough to beat him to it! Any later and I’d be up all night!

Catherine: hope you had a great day & wonderful workout!

Wendy: I have only done boot camp once since I got it, but need to revisit it again! I am loving your Houdini stories! While I do not have any kids, I do recall visiting my BFF from college a few years back when her DD was going from crib to big girl bed. There was a few screaming sessions followed by sheer exhaustion… she still spends many nights on the floor, but at least it isn’t in between her and DH!

JJ: I did KPC last week when I was on my business trip but since I really like it I use it a LOT for cardio… I have been struggling with finding a workout surface that allows the twisting necessary and not kill my knees…

Robin: I still admire anyone who has the ambition to do anything in the kitchen for themselves (speaking of the jelly) and such! I so SUCK at cooking except breakfast that I don’t even attempt it anymore! I just don’t have the patience to wait. Sunday pot roast in the crockpot for 5 hours about drove me crazy having to smell it, but couldn’t do anything about it! I’m surprised we have any food left in the house, but I managed to survive for an early dinner!

And last but not least Vilma: I’ll gladly share any positive outlooks, good vibes, etc! I guess I figure that the more I say things like that, hopefully the more it will sink in! ;) hope DD is feeling better! Sucks to have sick little ones (or big ones for that matter)..

guess the later you post, the longer the novel! Sorry about that :)
