Trying to Fit Yoga in Tues Feb 13

Good morning ladies.
I did not WO yesterday, but I did spend an hour in the barn shoveling crap, among other things. Just cleaning the barn up before we are pounded with the snow. I should be able to get a good WO in today. I went grocery shopping and stocked up on the good stuff.

Yve- I am really glad you are back. SO you are really into pilates? I need to start doing it again. Great for your core. I wish I lived closer to facilities that had classes.

Jen- I am just so proud and happy for you and your weight loss. You are doing it right! Is your DH still WO with you?

Janie- great job getting your yoga in. I have been a major slacker with all working out lately. Good luck with your smith machine purchase.

Lora- how are the sinuses today? Does bad weather really make them worse? I know sometimes when the weather is really wet and damp it will bother my joints, but sinuses? that stinks.

Goodmorning ladies,

Today's workout will be 90 minutes vinyasa class.

Meg - Do you have alot of snow in your area? We are getting a storm tonight also (Toronto). I have been doing pilates for 4 years - twice per week. My instructor concentrates a fair bit on restorative type work also -and it has helped alot with lower back pain as well as my posture. Last year I started yoga - and the two together have worked wonders.

I just did my own WO. I wanted to watch my soaps, so I freestyled it.

I did a full body WO. I used high reps, moderate weight.
LB- squat/lunge combo
one legged squats
leg presses
static lunges
squats
inner thigh lifts with ankle weights
ball squeezes
plie squats
hamstring presses
leg extensions
hamstring roll ins
glute squeezes
fire walkers

UB- chest flies (both DB positions)
chest presses
shoulder press
shoulder press with twist
rear delt flies
side lateral raises
bent over rows
pullovers
tricep kickbacks
dips on the ball
tricep extensions
bicep curls
hammer curls
concentratin curls

Then I did abs and stretch from B&G

I feel good about this WO. I hope to do cardio later, but that's alright if I don't. I bought that Whey protien powder vanilla from Walmart and am enjoying a nice smoothy now.

Yve- how much cardio do you do? ANy? I wish I had time to do yoga and pilates that much. We have about 6 inches, but it is coming tonight. Calling for about 2+ feet.

This morning I did Cardio Coach 1 on the treadmill followed by CIA Cardio Camp with Kimberly Spreen. Cardio was 1.5 hours long and I burned 619 calories. I then added on about 10 minutes of Gilad's Core & More ab work. I also did Adrienne Reed's Ultimate Flexibility 70" routine. My hamstrings and lower glutes get sore from running on the treadmill. I'm getting spoiled from doing this yoga every day. I coul only imagine how stiff I'm going to be when I go back to work and get stressed out from learning a new job and not doing yoga every day.

The Cableguy is here installing boxes for digital cable. I guess if you don't have digital and you want to keep your HBO at this time, everyone needs to switch over to cable TV. I hope I'll be able to get Fit TV now.

The guy I interviewed with yesterday just called and asked for some referenes to call. I hope I get the job only if it's God's Will. I'm a bit nervous about getting back into the hospital, but this would actually e working for Comprehensve Psychiatry Specialists.....at the hospital's location.

Meg - I don't know if bad weather makes sinuses worse....but when a storm is coming, I usually get a migraine. Also, when the weather gets really cold or changes quickly, it flares my asthma up a bit and asthma/sinuses are related.
 
Hi ladies! Tonight's WO was Turbo Jam 20 min WO followed by Ab Jam followed by Minna Lessig's Strength & Grace Core Stability and Stretch portions only. I wore my weighted gloves at 1/4 lbs for all WOs. I was pretty sore today in my shoulders and butt from yesterday's WO. Putting the toning after the cardio really put a new spin on my Killer Butt DVD. I have Gilad's Cuts and Curves coming in tomorrow from Netflix-not sure if I will do that one tomorrow night, but I will at least preview it if nothing else.

Megadoo-Thanks! **blushes, shuffles feet** Appreciate the encouragement. I finally feel like I am making real progress. DH is still having back issues but continues to improve-hopefully will be all better by the weekend, but he'll have to start slow again. :eek: Awesome WO you created on the fly!!!! :eek: I haven't tried making up my own WOs yet.

Lora-Good luck on your hospital job! What did you think of Gilad? BTW, I broke down and ordered the TJ Live series too, in addition to the max results and on-the-ball WOs coming my way. Their s-l-o-w shipping kills me though!!! YBB is on "long wait" on Netflix. I think it will be awhile before I will get it, even though it is at the top of my queue. It is quite popular and I think more people have found out about it.

Yve-90 minute yoga WO. How refreshing is that?!? :) I don't think I've ever done a yoga class that long. After that relaxation, I don't think I would want to go home....I would just want to lay there all night. You must feel amazing afterward! Congrats :) :) :) on your engagement! How exciting!!! June will be here soon (married this June, right?)....are you stressing over the planning yet? Will you be having a big wedding or intimate or eloping?

You are going to love Shiva Rea. I have that one as well, and I must say, that is one of my favorites. A couple of weeks ago, I ordered Creative Core Abs from her. Haven't done it yet, but will, very soon.
