Morning Yogini's and Wannabees -

This morning I did my Jillian Backside Circuit from the book. Did the Terry Pulls with the door attach/band doubled up and used my Extreme band for the lat pulls. Added ankle weights and DB's to the bicycles and put 10 pounds on my back for the twisting planks. Used ankle weights on reverse crunches also. Used my real jump rope for the JR segments. Listened to the new Velvet Revolver - Liberated. I added on the beginner segment of Kung Fu Kickbox. Workout was 1 hour and 18" and I burned 450 calories. I then did Karen Voight's Streamlined Yoga 30".

I forgot to mention that the doctor told me to do these certain calf stretches 3 times a day. I already have neck/shoulder stretches I have to add to my day now and now calf stretches?? what's next. I always thought I stretched pretty good with all of my yoga, but my TIGHT hamstrings from running would disagree with me constantly!! Geez....it's never enough the older you get.

Have great workouts ladies. I'm off to do my neck (and I guess calf stretches) and off to get this wild hair cut!! I wish I could style my hair and it wasn't so frizzy/curly so I could have some really cool style! This humid weather is killer on curly haired ladies!

Jen - Butts and Gutts is okay as is, but I haven't done it ever since I did that darned Leg Blast premix on it. Talk about KILLER! I think that's the name of the premix. Yikes. I usually have to break it in 2 segments when I'm working, as it's too long. My cold is not severe...but it's bad enough to aggravate my asthma and affect my breathing slightly when working out hard. I don't like that. I also am VERY worried about it turning into a sinus infection since I just shrunk my polyps with prednisone and treated my infection with a megadoes of 3 weeks of antibiotics. I can pretty much throw all of that treatment out the window if I get a secondary infection....and with Vegas coming up....I'm concerned. I counted better this morning when jumping rope.....and I actually go for about a minute and then take a breather and jump just a bit longer. It really kicks your HR up fast. I like it. I have been following the Blog somewhat....but it doesn't excite me too much. I'll be excited when they are available.

Kel - how's the arm?

Hi ladies! Popping in before I start my day! Let the DOMS begin....Butts and Guts has already caught up with me, so I guess it did me some good. Legs and Glutes always seems to be painful too and I avoid that one like the plague. I guess that's why it's a good idea to stick to a rotation sometimes, because without it I would not ever reach for these workouts! I think it is back to jogging/walking today if the weather holds up. Oh, and I have a fun filled afternoon at the OB/GYN today!

I will BBL as usual!

Have a great day!

Hi ladies!

I'm popping in early because I'm getting ready to run out & pick up some of the goodies for this weekend's company golf outing that I'm helping with. This morning, I only did abs & stretched because my arm is still really sore when it gets stretched. In fact, it's even more sore than it has been. My DH says he's had a pulled muscle & it's normal for it to get tighter but I'm afraid to stretch it too much because it really burns/hurts. I'm also wondering if I hyperextended it, rather than strained it? Oh well, I guess I just need to abstain from upper body work until it's better. Yeah, I'm totally bummed about that but I'm looking forward to trying out another CC tomorrow... & maybe Friday too since I can't do upper body at all. I can always add on some leg work & ab work.

Lora - Nice workout. I feel the same way as you about the blog. I really enjoy seeing the updates but I'll be really excited when the workouts are ready & there's more information about them.

Jen - I didn't purchase the last series of workouts so I've never done B&G, even though I understand it's a killer. Hope your DOMS isn't too bad... I could barely walk y-day - LOL!

Well, I need to keep it short & get going. I hope you ladies have a great day & I'll try to check back in later.

Take care!

Hi ladies! Tonight's WO was walking for 1.5 hours. I tried to jog for a little bit, but only made it through two songs. It just felt like too much. My DOMS is not of the "awful/I can't walk variety", it is mostly the "ouch, ouch, okay I feel you" variety. I thought walking may ease the feeling in my legs a little, but oh no, they still feel the same. I don't want the lower intensity today to affect my weigh in for Friday, so I am considering doing cardio again tomorrow.

Lora-What a workout this morning! Ankle weights and dumbells during bicycles!!!!!! Tough stuff! :D Meant to ask you, where do you get your resistance bands? Didn't I see awhile back that you are using a different band (than the green one) for the firewalkers? Did you notice a difference? What color is the band? Calf stretches three times a day is a lot-almost sounds like a physical therapy session for you each day when combined with your neck and shoulders! I guess if the stretching helps you feel better and you don't have to take additional medication, that's a plus. I hope your cold does not develop into an infection before your trip! That would stink! x(

Kel-You are really doing great with keeping up your workouts in spite of your arm injury! Alot of people would probably use that as an excuse not to workout at all. (Like me! :) ) I guess it is possible that you could have hyperextended it. I imagine that would hurt or have the same localized tenderness as a strain. Anyway, you are being smart about the whole thing. Will you have to be very active with the golf tournament this weekend? I hope you can find a way around doing anything too strenuous.....you seem like a go, go go kind of gal!

Have a great night ladies!
