Morning Ladies -

This morning I pulled a video out of the archives. I was in the mood for something different. I did The Next Challenge with Cindy Crawford. I used my 8-17 lb DB's for this and had a decent upper body workout with different moves. The lower body was all unweighted. I probably will add ankle weights and DBs next time to the leg work and ab work. I added a set of 20 low squats with my kettlebell at the end. Workout was 75" and I burned 449 calories. This ended up being a decent, no dread workout with nice scenery and good music. I haven't done this for ages and was surprised that the cardio segment was not that difficult for me. I used to practically die doing it when I was younger and I could have kept going today! I also used lighter weights in the past.

I posted some stuff yesterday but nobody was around. Stuff going on at work, etc.

Have a great day ladies. Be back after work.

Good morning everyone -

I finally have something to report! I'm starting back really slowly so this morning, I did Total Body Sculpting from Cathe's Intermediate Low Impact Step & I really enjoyed it. Tomorrow, I'm thinking about doing Tamilee's Tighter Assets Cardio Blast but I'm still not sure. I'll let y'all know tomorrow. Friday, I'm planning to do a full body circuit workout & I'm thinking about LIC. Do you think that will be too much? I'm also planning to add on some yoga since I'm off work & I'll have the time.

Lora - First, congratulations on being offered a permanent position! That's great news. But next, I'm really sorry to hear about all the crap that's going on with the girls at that office. I can't believe they've been through 9 employees & it seems like since the office manager knows who are causing all this trouble, she would have done something about it by now. It also seems like a good thing that she was so honest with you & told you she was going to do something about it. Hopefully, things will calm down with them after you become a permanent employee. Oh, I'm also sorry about the nail polish & oils. I guess I can understand the oils b/c a lot of people are sensitive to scents but what's the problem with the nail polish? RE: Ravi & Ana... I had actually decided against getting them myself due to some of the reviews & finally seeing some clips on YouTube but I'm glad to have them & I'll definitely try to keep an open mind when I try them out. I may try one out this Friday so I'll let you know how it goes if I do.

Hi to Carrie, Jen, & Yve if you pop in later. Hope you all have a good day!

Well, I better scoot for now but I'll try to visit again later to see what else is going on.

Take care!

Hi ladies! I went in for my IUI today. It was over so fast-less than 2 minutes to get it done. It is so much less invasive than IVF. I will take a home pregnancy test in 2 weeks to find out if it worked. DH & I were under horrible stress in making the decision to go through with it, since we had to use a donor, but now that it is over I feel so much better. The stress was all in the decision, since now what's done is done. (Well, I will say the trigger shot on Monday-which was a SIX INCH needle-was pretty tough, too.) If today's procedure didn't take, the Dr. said we should probably try 2 more IUIs before giving up on my eggs and just going with an egg donor. I felt well enough to work out tonight and actually had a good one. I went jogging (very slowly) in the park for 20 minutes (still can't believe I jogged almost the whole way today) and then did Barry's Bootcamp Shoulders and Back. My recovery week ended yesterday (man, that was quick!) so I will focus mostly on endurance workouts and increasing my cardio for the next few weeks. (I am thinking at least 8-10 weeks, changing up workouts (Jari, Barry, Cathe) each 2 to 3 weeks.)

Lora-Gosh, I am not sure what to say about the permanent position job offer, especially after what you posted yesterday. I think it says excellent things about your work and your tenacity. You have really stuck it out and "showed them" that you are not going to be intimidated. I think that office manager should fire BOTH of those employees. I can't believe they have been through 9 people when they know what the problem is! So, have you decided if you are going to take the job? I hope they made you a good offer-that includes a decent raise. That is so hard that they want to take away the things you enjoy-like BPAL and the nail polish, but I guess most doctors offices are very conservative at heart. I really like the Next Challenge Workout with Cindy Crawford. I absolutely love the set and the music on that one, too! Her workouts were very well made and I can't believe how well those elements have stood the test of time. That is really interesting about Drew Barrymore and her running and Bar Method workouts. I am going to the hairdresser this weekend and I hope she has that People magazine-I would love to read more about it.

Kel-Glad you had fun at the races! Do tell about the food you enjoyed! You know we love that kind of talk on this thread! Happy Birthday by the way! :) :) :) Did you do anything else special besides the trip? I am so excited that you are released to work out again. I think you will know if you are pushing too hard. If you are feeling great, I say go for whatever you are in the mood for. That is really awesome about those Ravi and Ana workouts. I really like the music on those! I don't get around to them very often, but I enjoy them when I do. Lora's right, an open mind is key with those workouts! Can't wait to hear what you think about them.

Hi to Carrie and Yve if you check in later!

Have a great night everyone!
