Morning Ladies -
This morning I did Turbo Jam Fat Blaster followed by Tae Bo Amped Core Express - total of 56" with cool down and Cathe stretch and burned 398 calories. I listened to my own music for Tae Bo and didn't want to stop but I'm trying to cut down on my aerobic time, as I think I've got to trick my body a bit or it will expect the longer times continuously. I will start Barry's Bootcamp tomorrow and the cardios are relatively 20-30 long .......so that should shock me even further. I'm going to try to only add on yoga and Fluidity, etc.
I also did I Sculpt Ballet 1 (that a fellow VFer was kind enough to burn to CD for me). It was 45" and was relatively tough.....maybe harder than Fluidity, but my butt is already feeling more compact from the Fluidity. Noticed it yesterday during that YBB workout when we put our hands back there for a move. I finished off with Yoga Shakti from the matrix, Dancing Warrior 4, Standing Pose flow 1, Backbend Prep, Supine Poses, Forward bends and twists, inversions and shavasa. I left my HR monitor run until the end of I Sculpt Ballet and it said I burned 580 calories - but I'm sure most of it was afterburn from the cardio.
Jen - so I'm dying to know......did you or didn't you eat cake yesterday??? LOL How did you like YBB? Did you catch on okay? I know it took me doing them a few times before I got them. Even today, I like repeating the cardio part in them, as I don't do them that often and sometimes need to brush up on the steps. What did you think of the ab one you did?
Yve - You can email me your addy - [email protected] and I'll send them out with all of my Ebay stuff from the weekend. I found out about Speedbody over at VideoFitness. The website is www.Speedbodyworkout.com but it's like $40 for only a couple workouts...so not many people bought them. I just got it and there's a rotation in the book that says to do it 5 days in a row and follow the nutrition plan and lose 5 pounds in 5 days. I did the workout, but didn't follow the nutrition plan. However, the nutrition book that came with it is very good and I plan on reading more of it. Rob Forcelli is the instructor....he's a boxing dude. The workout is rounds of boxing, athletic cardio with weight work and standing core work with the medicine ball thrown in. It had a good variety and was fun.
Re: My decorating abilities - I guess it just must come naturally? I don't know. Usually, I'll just buy one or 2 things when I'm decorating cuz I like the colour and design and then I usually build from there. For instance, in my kitchen - we bought a extra large throw carpet that was very Art Deco/Abstract....black with splatters of purple/green/turquoise and so I decided on black as my accent colours for the kitchen and bought a small black throw rug....black phone, black coffee pot and then since I hate traditional kitchen decor, I went to Pier 1 Imports and bought the rest of the wall decor from there .....a wire Microwave cart rack in green (my other accent colour), and also did smaller accents in green ........various containers with green stones, a brass wall candle holder ....flat that is two cherubs and hung those candles with the wicks together over it (don't even know if they still make these...as it's been a while). The walls are Smoky violet with the cabinets just one shade darker. My Dining Room/Living Room also lends to the same colour theme, only the walls are rose. The table is glass top with chairs that have purple/green in them and the accents are pewter (lamps etc, and black iron candle holders with purple glass and black candles in them. The living room and dining are one large room - so I have a plum couch with an accent chair that has green/purple and gold and pics on the wall with rose/cream/green and one with all different shades of purples/greens/rose, (rose in the pics to make sure I bring the rose walls into the colour theme - a couple small rose accents - floral arrangement I made in a large standing vase) etc. My end tables are black marble with pewter trim.
Here's another example of a room I did - we wanted to paint our upstairs bedroom - and the upstairs bedroom has a bathroom with wallpaper that is yellow with a tiny floral pattern darker violet. So we decided to paint the room a different shade of smoky violet (my whole house is done in shades of violet/rose and then the only room that's not those colours is a sort of smoky peach shade (which is the family room). Anyway, I just chose a colour to go with the wallpaper ....and since I don't like the wallpaper, I made sure I chose a colour in the wallpaper I liked and that was it. All we did is buy a bed spread for that room, as we haven't had money to buy any new bedroom furniture and I guess it's not high on my DH"s priority list.....since we've been married for 19 years with the same "hand me down" bedroom furniture we had when we each came into the marriage. So - that was probably way too much information.....but I thought maybe it could help get you started in the right direction on how to go about finding a colour scheme...etc. It seems to work well for me. I get a lot of compliments on the rooms I described above. - I might add....that I don't follow trends with decorating. I don't even know what they are right now....I just do what I like! so, maybe my stuff is outdated ....I don't know...but I do know I hate neutral homes.....with everything white/beige, etc. Drives me crazy...so I knew I wanted colour in my house. I don't think it looks wild....but rather serene.
Well - I've babbled enough. Off to the bath tub. We're going to the dollar theatre today to see Breach. I'll be back later.
