Trying to Fit Yoga In for Sunday March 16

Cathlete
Moring Ladies -

This morning I did Spinervals Suffer-O-Rama. Workout was 56" with cooldown and stretch and I burned 522 calories. I also did Classical Stretch Essentrics Lower Body & Abs 30" and Sattva Fitness Yoga 30". I wanted to do a longer yoga today, but I slept too late yet again.

Have great workouts or rest days everyone.

Yve - that Kashi is not available at the store. I get it online at Kashi.com. In some places, they might sell it in a Health Food store...but I can't even find it in the organic section of our grocery store. I've been eating those Quaker Oats Simple Harvest grains with maple and pecan lately. Those are available at the grocery store and pretty good. It has oatmeal, barley, etc and is flavored with maple and pieces of pecans. It has low sodium for a packaged cereal and 9 grams of sugar which isn't too bad. Sorry you aren't feeling up to doing too much. HOw much longer do you have before you deliver? Have they moved your estimated date?

This place is really dead this weekend!

Just in case you ladies read this Monday. Just got done watching the Reunion show from Celebrity Rehab. Carrie - did you see it? It was VERY emotional and I sat here with my eyes welling up! Also, did you see Rock of Love yet? What a dramatic ending. Brett was really upset. I think he REALLY wanted the person that ended up leaving. He must really like those crazy girls! Only skanks left. She was the only pretty one in the group!

ETA: I thought Celeb Rehab Reunion was over...but there was another half an hour and now I've got full tears. That one girl from Florida relapsed and is facing jail. Very emotional for me. That show is VERY real and my DH (who is also a recovering addict) agrees. He was almost in tears also. I'm sure they'll have a Celeb Rehab 2!

Hi ladies! Today's WO was walking w/ a couple of intervals of jogging for 1 hour. It was beautiful weather here today. Very much in contrast from yesterday, which was a complete nightmare. We actually ended up gathering the pets and sitting in the bathroom because the weather got so bad. We got quite a bit of hail and very high winds, but lucky for us, no damage. I still got my workout in, but it was very late in the evening, since we were pretty much glued to the weather radio all day. I did Firm Bootcamp (cardio & plyo only) which I did in interval fashion substituting the upper body portions of Squeeze where the Firm weights portion usually is.

Lora-Yes, we are just a short distance from the city, about 20-30 minutes so we were pretty close to all that activity. We did our usual grocery store run today and Whole Foods already has the BPAL oils stocked. DH and I were in that aisle FOREVER today smelling every one of the bottles they had....and they had a good variety too. What's also cool is it looks like they will carry some of the special blends..they said some would only be for sale until March 23rd. There was a lady there who attended the BPAL party and she said they learned how to make bath salts! :) She took my number and said she would call me for the next party, which is probably in another month. At the next one, they are supposed to learn how to make a room diffuser. They only drawback in buying them in the store is that you don't get all the samples they usually send with the shipments, but it sure is nice to be able to smell everything before you buy.

re: The IUI vs. IVF on Monday- On Monday, they will do an ultrasound to take a developing follicle count, which will give the number of eggs my body will produce this cycle. Hopefully it will be higher than my other counts, due to the stimulation medication I have taken for the past 6 days.

Scenario # 1: If the follicle count is low (below 8-and all my previous counts have been 5 or less) we will be scheduled for an IUI. Since my DH had a vasectomy, they can't get sperm by the conventional method, so they have to do an aspiration. Since an aspiration provides a very small amount of sperm, it is not enough to do an IUI using DH. So, if we want to use my eggs, we have to use a donor's sperm instead of my DH's for the IUI. This is not the scenario we want and my DH is particularly not happy with this, of course and chances are only about 5% that this will work.

Scenario # 2: If the follicle count is acceptable to the doctor (above 8) then we get to do the IVF, because an IVF only requires a small amount (even one will do) of sperm, so in this case we would both be the biological parents. This is the outcome we want! This one has about 15% chance of working, if we get to try it.

Scenario # 3: I also have been presented with the option of an IVF cycle using donor eggs and DH's sperm. It has the highest % of success-over 60%. If our infertility struggles carry on much further, I probably will be forced into this option if I want a child.

Gotta go, dinners ready....will try to get back here again.

Lora-Sorry your DH has been on such a tear lately. It seems like you have so much in common and enjoy doing so many of the same types of activities. It must be so stressful with the constant threats of leaving...seems to be his signature move. Can you really tell if he is saving up money behind your back? I can't believe after all these years he would actually leave, especially considering everything you have been through...together and separately.. that binds you together.

Yve-Hey girl! It's good to hear from you! :) So, your pelvis is talking to ya' now? Must mean that it is almost time for baby Zach to greet the world! :) :) :) Good for you for getting your walking in. You have done a great job with your workouts during the pregnancy! What did you do with the nursery? Is everything all set? How is your DH holding up?

Have a great night everyone!
