Morning Yoga Ladies -
This morning I did FIT Training with Keli Roberts (40") and then Celebrity Fit Tae Bo for a total of 70". I burned 420 calories. I really liked this Tae Bo. When he taught the moves single timed, I double timed them and jogged in between segments and had a great workout. I also did Intermediate Yoga with Stephanie.
This yoga practice did not seem very Intermediate to me. It was very beginner like. It's TTOTM and I have a migraine and pain...so it was a nice easy practice to do today. Not anything special.
The Keli Roberts workout is a functional fitness workout with speed/agility drills. I only previewed part of it last night. The beginning) and she was wearing a heart rate monitor and kept saying her heart rate was in the 160's....so I was psyched....but when I did it ...my HR was only in the 130's....then I did a couple of the drills longer than her and kept running in between and got my HR up a bit higher...but I ended up taking this out 40 minutes into in when she went down to the floor for ab work. So -- I need to preview this again, but it looks like the focus is on the core. Each drill had a medicine ball segment, weighted segment and a speed/agility drill and then core work, etc. I know functional fitness workouts are important, but for some reason I'm always in the mood for more traditional training.
Have great days everyone. I'll be back later. We're going to the cheapo theatre today to see The Hitcher (remake ......the older version was wild...so hopefully it will be half decent). It's only $1 for the movie at the cheap theatre.
Well.......off to the tub and then to check the paper for jobs ......which has been a depressing experience around here lately. There haven't been any jobs!
Jen - Yes, I know...Shaun T...surely has no self esteem problems. That's what I thought too...but he beams like a child. He sort of reminds me of myself in that way with his personality (not the ego part - although you might not think so after that comment I made about myself that one time...LOL)....the fact that he's beaming like a child and passionate about what he's doing. That's how I am when I'm talking about something I love.....like Buckcherry, or exercise....or whatever it may be. I truly am a kid at heart and he comes across like that......if that part wasn't there, he'd be an egomaniac for sure. The only reason I hate doing those workouts is cuz the music gets stuck in my head and I hate that Pussycat Dolls song!! He cracks me up when that song comes on. I have to laugh every time!! Did you feel it in your abs? It takes a lot of concentration, huh? What's going on at work that it's so stressful? I feel for you. I can relate with the wedding stuff. I never had that dream wedding either. I was just clean for a little bit and we had no money so we got married in the chapel of the Church with our immediate family there and then just went away to an amusement park for the weekend! No Honeymoon in Cancun or anything elaborate! I think as little Girls...we always dream of that big wedding. Are you gonna get the YBB Live series? It has more cardio in it than the Masters one. If you repeat the cardio segment twice, they make a nice 60" workout.
Yve - thanks for the info on Pilates. I always wondered if it was okay to use my med ball and ankle weights. I have a Stott Band workout but it's old. I'll have to check it out some time. I'll have to look at their site also (when I get a job though).
