Morning Yoga Ladies -
This morning I did Cardio Coach #3 on the Treadmill. I did jump on the Ellipitcal a few times to take some of the impact off of my foot. I repeated one of the challenges and then I did Hip Hop Abs Level 2 Fat Burning Cardio (for about 35 minutes). This was relatively difficult after CC! My HR actually climbed to 150 or so during some of the harder segments. I ended up doing a total of 1 hour 20 minutes of cardio and my HRM read a calorie burn of 550....although not sure if it's accurate today...as my battery is getting weak and it lost the settings yesterday and my resting HR was not set correctly. It was set at 70....which is higher than mine. I then did Yoga for Athletes with Kim Fowler......felt real good!
Jen - YBB Live's are a bit dancy also.....more so than the one you did last night. They are all themed.....one is Hip Hop, one Burlesque, Go Go, etc. See if you can find a single copy on Ebay to purchase before you'd actually make the decision to buy them from BB. Although, you probably could return them if you didn't like them. I'm able to make both Hip Hop Abs & YBB as intense as I want to....well I can at least get my HR up to 150 doing them....which is moderately high for me. It all depends how much you put into them and I always add some jumps to the moves to make it more intense. So I found it interesting that you found the ballet segment to be tough. I never thought any of the ballet segments were tough enough. I've actually even worn leg weights for them some times. I do have some prior Ballet history though........from LONG ago. I took ballet for several years when I was young. My teacher was very very TOUGH! It is not easy when you do an entire class. My Mom sure knew how to get rid of us three girls on Saturdays.......she dropped us off at the dance studio every Saturday and we took Ballet, Tap, Modern Dance (acrobats also...but not for long....we weren't very good at that)....plus we did about a half hour to an hour of a warmup/exercise class and breaked for lunch.....so we were gone most of the day. I was best at Modern Dance/Jazz and Tap......Ballet ......I was so/so. I was a chubby kid.....so. My sister, however, remained doing Ballet into her teens and actually went to NYC and passed all of her ballet exams......can't spell the name of the exams....I'm clueless with my French these days....but then she ended up getting married and never pursued her dance career. I should mention that my sister was the most petite out of us girls. She only stands 5'1" and was small. I am 5'7" and was a little chubby until I reached my teens. Anyway....not that you asked for all of that information or anything........geez.
Hi Janie, Yve and Tammy .........if you ladies are around today.
I'll be back later.
