Morning Yoginis-
I ended up doing Tracey's Step Sweatfest for 55 minutes and burned 350 calories. I also did Power Squeeze 30" by Tracey Effenger and Eion Finn's Power Yoga 4 Happiness - Daily Dose of Bliss 40".
The Tracey step tape is complex enough for my tastes. I only did the first 30 minute segment and then repeated it, as she doesn't break down much and I needed to keep doing it to be able to up my intensity.
My legs were already toast and Squeeze was hard. I couldn't even do all the reps (however, I've not been doing Lotte/Fluidity too long). This was described over at VF as Lotte Berk on steroids and I'd have to agree. Some VFers have emailed Tracey with feedback and requested more workouts. I'll be doing the same. It is really good. She does total body in an hour. The ab work and leg work uses a ball. If you did this 3 times a week with your Cathe's.....I think you'd be in awesome shape! This is a perfect workout if you wanted to try Fluidity but don't want to spend the money. I think it would produce similar results. It has a 30 minute premix called Power Squeeze and the 60" version. www.Squeezebytracy.com.
Jen - I hope you are okay. Please check in, as I'm worried about you.
Yve - I haven't rec'd the Anusara DVD yet. I just ordered it. Hopefully it will be here next week. Anne at Fitness Organica said it would probably be a good one for my neck/shoulder problems. If you get it, you can get it on Amazon and pay a few bucks less in shipping. I'd order from Fitness Organica on Amazon's site though, as Ann has good customer service.
Re: the house shopping. Don't get discouraged. My DH and I are both type A personalities and when we do something, WE DON"T Mess around. We are NOT laid back individuals. So- when we house shopped - we'd go looking from morning to night one day and then try to get showings set up the next day from realtors --- and you know how frustrating that can be. A lot of them are laid back or just plain lazy! We kept finding houses in the Homes book and then by the time we asked to see it, it was already sold. We didn't have a computer back then or we could have been checking for new listings on the Internet. Words of wisdom from the 2nd time homeowner! .....don't wait for a realtor to find a house for you. Go on the Internet, look for new listings (you might have to figure out the best way to do this - possibly ask a realtor the process) and find the good houses and contact someone right away to see it before it has a bid placed on it! If you become Obsessive/compulsive about it and make it your mission in life.....(sorry...I know I'm not the healthiest person mentally LOL) - you'll find the right house a lot quicker. It still took us some time to find the right house the way we work......but at least, we found a home we liked. We are picky and wanted certain things in a house.....that we didn't have money to do after we bought. The house that we fell in love with is on a really busy intersection and sometimes I wonder why we bought it, but then I remember how "right" it was for us. The only time I regret living on the busy road is when you can't get out of your drive way at busy times and there are a few other factors....but overall, we love our home. It is only a 1-bedroom (bedroom is the entire upstairs). It was a tiny house that had a rather large addition built on in the 80's and is really unique. We almost sold several years back and had our eye on a brand new home, but we finally decided to stay here and pay our house off quicker and save more money for retirement instead of having a mortgage payment for 30 some years. Hope you guys don't give up just yet.....and try to find one a bit longer. It is much nicer living in your own home than renting! Hope you don't mind my comments. I'm just trying to help.
