Trying To Fit Yoga In for Sat Oct 13

Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Core Rhythms Meringue Mania - 45 minutes and burned 324 calories. This was a low intensity recovery cardio workout for me. My HR stayed between 120-140. I like Latin Dance....but so far this doesn't have the fun factor of a DVD like Yoga Booty Ballet. Not sure if this is a keeper or not yet. Back in the undecided box it goes with the rest of the iffy ones or untried ones.

I also did Yoga Journal's Great Instructor yoga session from the San Fran Conference with Seane Corn 90". I played my own yoga music as there wasn't any on this. I got a bit antsy doing this long of a practice and fastforwarded thru most of the standing or sitting pauses and a few sun salutations......the finishing poses were held a long time and felt good. This was my first experience with Seane. I liked her .....she's very passionate about what she does and got very emotional at the end and it was touching. She also talked about some things I really needed to hear....including self esteem, etc. Liked it for this reason and the long holds in the finishing poses was especially nice, as well as all of the shoulder/heart opening she did in the beginnig of the session.

Off to get my bath and we're going to a movie later. Not sure which one. Since it's my DH's birthday weekend....he's picking the movie today and being the typical Libra he is, he's undecided at this moment.

I watched part of Shiva's DVD again last night and after realizing that I have 2 standard yoga practices in the new series with Baron and Seane, I guess I'm glad Shiva did a slightly different spin on her yoga session. It appears to get the HR up a bit with all of the free form wave motions, etc. Her voice sounded breathy at several points....so maybe I'll like it. Watching it though, it did seem to have a lack of finishing poses.....so I guess I can't judge it until I do it.

Have a great weekend everyone

Kel - how was your Italian food the other day? What happened to your Avatar? It looks overexpposed or something. Hope you can fit some yoga in this weekend.

Yve - are you feeling better yet?

Jen - You must be busy with work again.

Talk to everyone later.

Hi ladies! Popping in for another quickie! (I know, what else am I good for these days?!? :p) I have been extra busy with work but still getting my workouts in. Can't remember when I posted last so I will spare you the previous workout updates. Tonight's WO was Get Ripped biceps twice through, followed by 100 reps of biceps(a training technique I read about in a magazine). I also did the core and cardio portions of 10 min Solutions w/ the Stability Ball (Kimberly Spreen) and then I walked/jogged for 30 minutes outside. It was a beautiful night for it!

Promise to catch up more with all you lovely ladies very soon!

P.S. Lora, I am closing my eyes now so I am not even tempted to look at that BPAL link. :) :) :)
