Morning Ladies -

I'm so out of whack from this job. I just got my schedule and I'm not working that many hours any more and it's all evenings and the crap schedule ...Fri...Sat & Sun's! Yuck. I work Thanksgiving and the day after till closing! Yikes. I really need to get a better full-time secretarial job soon. Praying. I had a call today and a possible interview for Wed (if my Excel skills are good enough - we'll see).

This morning I did Kelly Coffey-Meyer's Cardio Sculpt. My feet still bothered me but because there was not so much lateral movement...it was better. workout was 75" and I burned 649 calories. That was fun. Didn't follow it perfectly, but pretty good. LOVED the music....especially during the ab work and cool down and Kelly even started to sing a few words. I really like her. Not sure how safe the shoulder work was for my injury.....guess I'll find out in the next couple days. She does lateral raises behind you and out at an angle. LOVED the biceps section. Very original and innovative and burned my bi's and the ab segment was great. I did it unweighted and felt a burn and that is rare for me.

I'm very impressed with both Kelly and Amy's new offerings. I think Cathe has some stiff compeition with these two (well...not really, but you know what I mean). I actually think they make very good complimentary workouts to Cathe's stuff. I think Amy's Slo-Mo has a slight advantage of being better than Cathe's recent's in my opinion cuz she included 1 hour total body mixes on her Slo-Mo and Cathe did not. I wish Cathe would have.

I'll probably have to grit my teeth and do the elipitical soon, as I'm almost at my max 3 high impact workouts for the week. The Bike is supposed to get fixed tomorrow.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to put a total body workout together with Cathe's new series to equal about an hour? I have no clue how to go about doing it! I'd appreciate any help with this.

Let's hope these tootsies get used to all of this standing. I feel old and haggard. I bought a pair of Saucony walking shoes and tried wearing them around the house but they were so stiff that they rubbed my bunion and I think that's part of the problem....plus when I'm not working, I don't even want shoes on!! So, I don't know how I'll break a new pair in. I've been trying to wear my Yoga Toes...(they go in between your toes and stretch and relalign the bones in your feet if you're not familiar with them).

I tried my new cheapo Single Serve Blender this morning and actually had a Swiss Mocha Protein Smoothie with Splenda (Diane Sue's recipe) and some almonds post workout and then by the time I got my bath and such....it was too late for breakfast, so I just had some yogurt and blueberries and I think I'll go over to Mom's for lunch and have eggs. I'm getting my protein today. I can actually see my abs today. Maybe I lost a pound from working and not pigging out all of the time!!

Jen - first, I'd like to say that I'm sorry about your test the other day. Let's hope it comes back differently next time. For my bunions....the only thing I'm trying is the yoga toes I mentioned above. My foot doctor wants to give me orthotics, but I don't have the money right now, as I have a deductible ....so they are not really covered. BBBB is an excellent workout. It was my fave of the set. I hope you enjoy it. Do you have gliding discs? If not, you'll have to sub paper plates for sections of it. YOu should really get Amy's. I think they are EXCELLENT! Slo-Mo especially. They are a good price too.

Hi Christine, Kel and Yve!

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Off to Hatha class tonight. Was swamped with work today - so couldn't get out for a walk.

Lora - Another incredible workout... 649 calories burnt! wow!
I didn't realize yoga toes were to help the bones etc... I thought that they were just socks with rubber bits on the bottom for those who didn't like to practice barefoot. I may order myself a pair - as I have painful bunions too. I like walking without shoes also.. but you know what... the podiatrist says that it is the absolute worse thing you can do for your feet.... I wear slippers now - and only forget sometimes. I hope you get your interview for Wednesday...It is so hard when you don't enjoy your work.

Jen - Sorry about your test results also..but pls remember that these numbers do fluctuate - and they fluctuate often at this age.
I myself had three different sets of fertility tests in the last year - and given my history with thyroid cancer and the strength of the meds that I am on - my other hormones were very low also. You will get different readings depending on what is going on in your life also... ie stress at work etc.
If I may - I'd like to suggest a book to you... I myself read it 3 times in the last year... It is called Inconceivable - A Women's Triumph over Despair and Statistics. ( I have read others also - but this is one that I keep going back to). I hope that my post to you isn't preachy - or pushy - I have just learned that with these tests - you have to somewhat take the results with a grain of salt.

Have a nice evening.

Yve - www.yogapro.com

that's where I got mine. I ordered smalls. They go in between your toes and last time I asked my podiatrist the best thing for bunions.....they showed me a toe seperator (sort of) in the office and explained that you need to try to wedge something like that in your foot........and that's exactly what yoga toes are. They are good for bunions, hammertoes, etc. Read about them on the site. They've been helping my feet...but I hate wearing them cuz my feet freeze....but they feel so good stretching my toes out and such.

Hi Lora - Thanks for the site.
I have never seen these before. I thought they were something different. The site says they are good for both planters fascitis and bunions - I have both... so will give these a try.

Tks again.

Hi ladies! Tonight's WO was shoulders so I did Ripped 1000 shoulder clean and press segment X 2 followed by 100 shoulder shrugs with rotation. Happy to not have cardio and abs today! :) Thanks for your support and listening to my IVF issues. I am so glad you are here!

Lora-Oh no...the Kelley's are good, too?!? I think my credit cards are smokin' like Kel's! :) Thanks for the yoga toes information. I have seen those many times and wondered about them. It's nice that they have a lifetime replacement guarantee, too. Great job on the visible abs!!!! You go girl!!! :) That's a major accomplishment! Your protein shake sounded good. After everyone was talking about the Lean Dessert protein powder (somewhere on the boards-OD or Ask Cathe), I ordered the Fresh Cinnamon Roll flavor. I can't wait until it comes in. I have been consuming more protein shakes lately to increase my intake....my body does better on high protein/low carb eating. Good luck with your interview on Wednesday! Oh, and I just wanted to say thanks again for introducing me to Kundalini...I don't do that much of it, but the meditations from Gurmukh's book really help me get to sleep at night-especially when I am worried and anxious.

Yve-Sorry you missed your walk today and hope you enjoyed your Hatha. How has your weather been lately? I imagine you're having to layer up a bit by now. We have chilly mornings, but the afternoons are still gorgeous and fairly mild. I don't mind the book suggestion at all and actually appreciate it very much. I need something to give me some peace of mind. I have been reading stuff on the internet like crazy trying to figure out if there is any way to counteract what the dr is telling me. (The nurse says that there is not.) I am trying to stay optimistic about everything, but the doctor's office said that between my low antral follicle count and low anti-mullerian hormone level that I may have to consider an egg donor. I was completely stunned. That possibility never crossed my mind. I still don't know how I feel about it. I don't think it will be a problem when the child is an infant, but once it gets to the point of telling them I am not their biological mom...I just can't imagine it. And I am not one to keep that a secret forever, I'd want them to know. It has put a totally different perspective on my visit tomorrow. I don't care what they have to do physically.....it's the waiting for the results to come back that will be the hardest part. I would love to hear more about the testing you had. I have found it all very interesting (in spite of the possible negative outcomes) to say the least. Oh yes, and on to your little one...when will you find out if it's a boy or girl? Have you thought about any names yet? Do you feel any movement yet or feel any differently when you exercise? It's such a facinating time isn't it? :) Are you by any chance keeping a journal? My mom did while she was pregnant with me and it's really touching to read everything she was going through and what she was thinking at the time.

OK ladies, time for me to get to bed! Thanks again for your support, I really appreciate it.
