Morning Ladies -

This morning I did Jillian's Frontside Circuit and then I added on The Firm - Core Solution - Traditional Abs 10" and Lotte Berk Essentials Blast 10" and for the stretch, I used Cathe's LIC. I left my HRM running thru the abs, Lotte and Stretch. Workout was 1 hour 20" and I burned 420 calories (around 320 at the end of the Circuit). I used my 20# DB's for chest flyes and 25# DB's for chest presses, 10 & 12# DBs for triceps, 8#'s for anterior shoulder raises and 10-12#'s for medial delt raises. I added my ankle weights and 12# DBs for abs and I FINALLY did planks with 8 pounds on my back. I hope my shoulders don't rebel from the weighted planks. This is the first time I've used weight during planks. I also did Ravi & Ana's Fat Free Yoga- Start Your Engines segment.

I rec'd my Kundalini DVD "Detox & Destress" with Maya Fiennes and previewed it. I don't know how often I'll end up using it, as it's 60" long and it isn't really able to be broken up like most Ravi & Ana DVDs. Kundalini yoga is weird enough and something about the lady that leads it freaks me out a bit. Not sure if I just need to get used to her or what. For now, I still favor Ravi & Ana's practices...due to the fact you can do most of them in segments.

Jen - What rotation did you decide on? Circuits? I need to start thinking of my next rotation. After I finish up these Jillian circits, I'll do another functional fitness week and then I have no idea what to do. If you're interested - BPAL has a Lunar Update. Red Moon is back. It was one of the first Moon's to be released and it was and has been extremely popular. Red Moon is a very unique scent. It is sort of a warm, slightly resiny, slightly floral scent with a bit of Dragon's Blood. Nothing is overdone in Red Moon. It's pretty balanced... not too heavy on the Dragon's Blood, Marigold, etc.....thus if you didn't like one particular aspect of the scent....you'd probably still like it since it's so evenly blended. Don't know how else to describe it. I'm pretty sure it could also be a good unisex scent. You can check out reviews on BPAL if it sounds interesting.

Kel - yes, bananas surprised me. I knew about dried fruit being higher in sugar, but bananas?? Anyway, it's going to be hard for me to limit my fruit to 2 servings a day. I already was a bad girl and bought Bing Cherries at the grocery store yesterday. Love those! Wow - that's a lot of rental properties. I'd have guessed it was a bit more stressful thatn you make it sound. Good for you having a profitable business like that.

Have a great day ladies.

Hi ladies!

This morning, I started doing the 90 minute premix on SJP/SB (the one that combines all the cardio) but I had looked at the clock wrong & didn't have enough time to do the whole thing. (I know, I know... what the heck was I thinking anyway, right?). So when I started getting short on time, I'd do part of the Blast step combo portion on each side & then FF to the Blast portion... so I did all the blasts & cut back on the step, if that makes any sense. Anyway, the workout ended up being about 75 minutes long... & I'm glad my workouts, especially cardio, this week are over! LOL!

Jen - Hope you made it through those bad thunderstorms & I'm looking forward to hearing from you today.

Lora - Thanks for that information about fruit & bananas. Like you, I knew about the dried fruit but I didn't realize that about bananas. I love cherries too & I've been meaning to pick some up at the store. I guess there are a lot worse things we could be eating, right? My DH takes care of most of the "headache" stuff with the rental properties so maybe they are a lot more stressful than I realize - LOL. Nah, he is the type of person who thrives on being busy, fixing things, & all the details involved with owning rentals so I think he actually likes dealing with them. Great workout again! Oh, how's your mom doing? You haven't said anything about her in awhile...

Oh, I almost forgot... I did do yoga for about 30 minutes before lunch yesterday & had a nice practice. Not sure about today but I'll let you know if I do. Hope you ladies have a nice day & I'll try to pop back in later...

Hi ladies! Made it through the tough storms last night! One of my Bassett Hounds went into her panting panic attack again. She just started doing this recently and did not seem bothered by the storms before-so I am not sure what is going on there. Poor thing! She finally quieted down and went to sleep.

Gosh, inspiring workouts all around today! You guys are making me feel like a lazy bones for my rest day today. Tonight was our cheat meal night and we had BBQ. I was so excited about it but once we finally got to eatin' everything tasted too fatty, too sweet, too greasy. It's tough when your taste buds change on you like that. I still CRAVE the bad stuff but it just doesn't taste as good as it used to. I had my weigh in today and lost my water weight from last week (right there with ya' on the TTOM, Kel x( )but I am still up 1/2 pound from my lowest weight.

Lora-Yep, I am still doing circuits-4 days a week. For the other two days I am doing 1 low impact steady state cardio (mostly walking) and 1 interval cardio (walk/jog combo intervals or step). Thanks for the BPAL update, I will go check out the site. My DH keeps mentioning he is out of Snake Oil, so I really need to restock. I also like the Desire imp I received when I last ordered from them, so I think I want a full size of that one. DH also liked Voodoo. The DVDs I ordered from B&N are being shipped today! Yea! I think I am going to go ahead and send Kick It back to Netflix...I know I should try it, but I have Amy Bento's and Bar Method's waiting in the wings that I am more anxious for. I'll get Kick It back after you try it and give your review. I have Self Dance your way Slim w/ Kimberly Spreen on the way for Saturday. Do you have that one? They are sending it from Kansas or someplace like that since they didn't have one at the local shipping facility.

Kel-That is so funny about your 90 minute workout! Last night I did SJP/SB Premix labeled "Weights and Cardio". It had the weights from SJP intermixed with combo 1 and the step challenge from SB. I liked that premix alot. I can't believe how many premixes there are on that DVD! I wish they all were that way. Do you have the Hardcore Extreme DVD? I was wondering what you think of it. I really like the Terminator DVD with the mixes of Imax 2, ME, and BC on it and was wondering if it is just as good. So, what will you be doing this weekend? That is great that your DH is so motivated about the rental properties. Have you had good luck with most of your tenants?

It is storming here again already...we desperately need the rain but sheesh, it's a little unnerving with all the thunder and lightening.

Better get off the computer! Have a good one!

Jen
