Trying to Fit Yoga in for Finally Friday April 4

Morning Ladies-

This morning I decided to give Sarah Lurie's Vol 2 Iron Core Kettlebell workout a chance. I added kickboxing moves during the rest periods and even extended some of her short sets to make it a bit harder, but it was still too easy for me. I even used from 15-35 lb KBs. I added Around the Body Passes, Sling Shot Catches & Hot Potatos to the end of the workout. Workout was 61 minutes and I burned 517 calories.

I'm going to have to price 40 lb KB's as I'll need one soon.

Good morning -

First, sorry I missed posting yesterday. I was just really busy & when I finally tried to post, my DH came home & the rest is history.

Yesterday, I did 4DS HIS plus Back & Chest. Once again, I found that I have lost some strength with my chest work (not a lot, though, so I don't think it will take long to get back to where I was pre-surgery) but not in my back. This morning, I did Lotte Berke Basic Essentials & Yoga Journal's Session 1 & Session 2. I also added ankle weights & did some lower body floor work before popping in the yoga DVDs. All of this felt really good & I'm glad I made time for some pilates & yoga today.

Lora - I know you haven't been thrilled with some of the workouts you've been doing lately but I bet you'll be sore from this morning's workout. I really want to get into KBs but I may need to wait until I have more money to spend. Speaking of money to spend, thanks for the advice about gliding discs. So what kind do you think I should get, the standard or the oblong?

Yve - I was so good to see you check in again the other day & I'm so glad to hear that everything is going well for your newly expanded family too!

Jen - It was good to see you check in last night too. I'm sorry that things are so stressful & hectic at work for you right now, though, & I hope everything settles down for you soon.

So what's everyone doing this weekend? Tonight, my DH & I are going out to dinner but we haven't decided where yet. Tomorrow afternoon, I'm going to get my hair done (hi-lited & cut) so I have the day off from working construction with DH (YAY!). I think I'll try to do a circuit (maybe LIC) & some yoga tomorrow morning too since I'll have the time.
