....Trying to Fit in Yoga for Tuesday, April 24th....

Hi ladies! Tonight's WO was Step, Pump, & Jump/Step Blast Step & Weights 68" Premix. I have never done this premix before and I though it was excellent. It never ceases to amaze me how many workouts you get out of Cathe's DVDs. It's just so cool!

I am thinking about weighing in on Friday. I have not weighed in two months. I think I have lost a little...trying to build up my courage. I have been fustrated lately because I have been working out for almost a year and a half now and my body fat has reduced significantly, but overall I have only dropped one pant size. I think I need to increase my cardio intensity even more and focus less on weight training....which will be one of the hardest things I have ever done (but I hope ultimately one of the most rewarding, too).

Yve-Power Hour is one of my favorites! :) :) That is too bad about the yoga studio near you getting priced out of the space. Did she relocate or just abandon having a studio altogether? What a shame to force an excellent teacher who was surely reaching people in meaningful ways! I never did take the Bikram classes. I knew someone who went to Bikram classes and he said it was awesome. I was always interested but somewhat afraid to go. (Story of my life!) Have you ever tried it?

Gotta' go-trying to get some reading on nutrition done before falling asleep.

Have a great night!

Jen

Hi Jen,

My workout today was Classical Pilates - Magic Circle Workout. I hadn't done this one in a long time and quite enjoyed getting back to it.
Cathe's Step Blast/Step J&P is my favourite Cathe workout. It has great music. I haven't ever tried the premixes though. Maybe tomorrow :)

You have done so well with your weight Jen - and to drop your body fat significantly is not a small accomplishment. There are so many people who lose weight without working out at all - and do not change their body fat by any meaningful amount.

Trish (the yoga instructor) decided not to relocate. She does a lot of corporate work now whereby she puts together contracts with companies to go in on a lunch hour and conduct a class for whoever is interested. I have tried Bikram at a nearby studio and loved it. It is quite intense - and the heat really allows one to stretch deeper and open up even more than with regular yoga - not to mention that you feel like a million bucks afterwards. When I do yoga at home, I try to turn up the portable heater to create a similar effect.

Have a good night,
Yve
