Hi Everyone,
I am considering purchasing a Troy Lite Barbell set and I need some help please. I own a FIRM padded barbell and a Body Pump barbell. My Body Pump bar is about 52" long and very light, between 2 & 3 lbs and it's one-piece. It came with the Body Pump Video and has a set of 1, 2.5 & 5 kg vinyl (sand filled?) plates.
What I'd like to know is how the Troy Lite compares to my Body Pump Set. Are the Troy Lite plates vinyl or rubber coated iron? Is the bar solid or hollow (the BP is hollow I believe). I know it probably seems strange but, the fact that my plates are kg ~vs~ lbs confuses me and makes me think real hard about how much I am lifting I might simply need to purchase Troy Lite plates? I am at the beginner level of lifting (again....) and truly appreciate any descriptions and/or advice from you wonderful gals & guys!
