Treadmills

Hey everyone.

My mom has decided to get a treadmill for herself. She would like to walk on it-no running at all. She has space but would still like it to be as compact as possible and is thinking of the kind that fold up for easier storage.

Can anyone recommend a good brand to look at for this type of treadmill? She is in the dark about where to start as am I. I know Precor is an EXCELLENT brand but I know nothing of what they offer and that might be a bit over the top for my mom as she only needs it for walking.

I've had a Nordic Track for years and knock on wood haven't had any problems with it. I have the space saver one that folds up.

I don't even know what brand mine is! I remember I bought it at Dick's & just picked something basic that was in my price range (that is, CHEAP!) OK, now I went to go check...it is a Proform. Again, it's pretty basic but it's held up well.

I've had my Proform from Sear's for over 10 years. It has never given me a minute's trouble, and I run on it almost every day.

I think I paid $600 back then.

Bummer, a day late They had an Easy Storage Proform on HSN yesterday as a today's special value for $449 and free shipping with easy pay. You might want to check the website and see if it is still a good deal.

another recommendation for the Proform. I love mine. We paid $500 on sale I think almost 2 years ago now, but I checked Sears online and they have several versions that I think would fit your mom's needs. Good luck!

I checked and it's still available on sale with free shipping! Thanks for the tip! I emailed it to my mom.
