Transforming Violets in July!!!

BelovedHeather

Cathlete
Welcome to July, Violets! Join me for a glorious journey and celebration of freedom this month and beyond!

This joyful journey is about so much more than shrinking into a smaller size. It is about being transformed from the inside out and celebrating positive life changes and transformations of all kinds. If anyone else wants to join us, please feel free. We are a small but fun and friendly group.

Jean, we have exactly 40 days to get ready for the Cathe Road Trip! I am so excited!

Wendy, I am looking forward to meeting you.

Kim, I hope you keep checking in with us this month.

Goodnight, Violets! Yes, I am just now winding down and getting ready for bed! No, I have not been out partying. I will share more later.

Blessings,
Heather B.

This morning the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. After church I took the dogs for a 40 min jog/walk. Later in the afternoon the rain came back and it came back hard. I don't think I have ever seen it rain that hard for a solid hour like it did.

This morning I took my monthly measurements. Good news, my body fat % stayed the same. Bad news is I'm up 2 pounds. Oh well, today is the first day of a new month, so I'm right back up at.

Looking forward to the RT so maybe this month I will actually be motivated.

Jean

Good evening, Violets! I returned to super clean eating Sunday morning, and my body has been having a hardcore detoxification crisis. I felt woozy and weak and had flu-like symptoms for 3 days. Shivering under a quilt on a hot July day in Texas is not normal! My feet are feeling better. I am starting to feel a little better tonight. Hopefully, my energy will be restored by tomorrow morning so I can get back on track with my Cathe cardio workouts.

Have a blessed 4th of July!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hi Heather, hope you are feeling better. Sounds like you might have had a bug at the same time as your detox. Hope you are on your way to recovery.

Yesterday I got up and did Imax2. It had been along time and I wasn't sure if I could finish it. I did though so Yea! for me. I love segment 10 with the run up V steps.

Today we're having some friends over for dinner. Then it's back to work tomorrow. I wish the 4th wasn't in the middle of the week. I think next year it's on a Friday.

Happy 4th of July to everyone.

Jean

Hi all. Happy Friday to everyone. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Our's was nice. The weather held out so we were able to see the fireworks. All this rain is starting to take it's toll on lake businesses. Most of our local lakes are closed to boating due to the water levels being so high. Lake parks and picnic areas are underwater. I think this rain is also taking it's toll on me. Haven't been myself lately and it shows in my lack of workouts. Less than 5 weeks til the roadtrip. Can't wait, but I better get some workouts in or I will be a bowl filled with jello.

I haven't posted an update on Sunshine in awhile. She turned 4 months old yesterday. She weighs 38 lbs already and is going through the lanky stag. She is all legs. She just loves her auntie, Breeze. Breeze on the other hand is thinking, can i just have 5 minutes to myself. I do separate them so they both have a break for awhile.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Jean

Good evening! I am alive and well in Central Texas! I got back on track with my eating this week and eased back into my beloved Cathe workouts. My energy has been restored, and I am not experiencing any pain in my feet during or after my workouts. My weight was holding steady as of the 4th of July, so I know I did the right thing by resting and icing my foot. I did not have enough energy to move the first part of this week. I had more rest days than workout days this week. Here is a summary of my workouts for this week:

07-01-07 rest

07-02-07 rest

07-03-07 rest

07-04-07 a.m. Step Works
07-04-07 p.m. water jogging

07-05-07 rest

07-06-07 rest

07-07-07 a.m. Step, Jump, & Pump

I am spending less time on the computer and more time in Bible study and prayer. I feel more joyful and peaceful this way and hope to check-in at least once a week. I am planning to start a 4-week rotation in the morning to get ready for the Road Trip. Weight loss is not my focus this month. I simply want to bless my body with nutrient-dense food and increase my overall stamina and endurance.

Jean, I hope you have a blessed week. Did Wendy abandon us?

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hello Violets!

I am back from vacation and I totally enjoyed myself! Although I did gain five pounds. I did things on vacation that I haven't normally been doing. Like take for instance, I drank lemonade with vodka and I ate pizza twice this week and I drank alot of sodas! Okay so now I leave all of that behind!! I am back to work and ready to get buffed!

I realized at the pool that I have very weak muscles. I had been concentrating so much on cardio before the beach that I just neglected weights. Well now I am hitting it strong girls! It was bad when I couldn't pull myself out of the 8ft. of the pool. that is something I was able to do before.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th!

I will definitely be checking in with workouts tomorrow! After work I will hit the gym for cardio and weights at home!!

Hey Wendy,Jean and Heather!

Hey girls!

So I FINALLY mailed off my completed Personal Trainer Certification Exam today! Keep your fingers and toes crossed that I passed!!!!

I just finished ARX and GSC&T SuperSets premix.

Time for a shower!

TTYL!:)

Hey girls,

Well i went to the gym today and have you ever had a day you didn't have energy? I totally felt that way. I didn't put the umph! in my workout that I normally do! Being at the beach all last week really messed me up!

I end up doing 30 mins. on the ellipt. and 15 mins. on the ski machine. I guess that is better than nothing huh!

Hey wendy, I didn't know you were wanting to be a personal trainer! that is really awesome!

Hey Jean and Heather! Hope your day has been going good.

TTYL,

KIM

Hi Kim and anyone who follows!:)

Kim, Yeah-I want to work in the fitness field. It's the only thing I truly love, you know! I started with the p/t cert and will look for a part time job in a gym and take it from there. I may cert for other things down the road depending...I'll see. You said it-anything is better then nothing. You got a 45 min cardio work out y'day and that is nothing to laugh at! That is plenty girl!

This morning I did ITri 8/70 mins for the first time. It's treadmill, elliptical, bike, treadmill. It's tough but not impossible. I was afraid but managed to get through it all. I just didn't push too hard on any one segment and did fine! I will be tackling GSBS&B timesaver soon. :)

Have a great day!

Good morning everyone. Haven't had much time to post lately. Workouts have been kind of minimal also. Yesterday was 30 min of LIC and this morning was 30 min of lower body weight work.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Jean

Hi Jean and all who follow.

I took Spin this morning and will do GSC&T Timesaver Premix at nap time. My legs are FRIED after heavying up with GS Legs y'day and then layering on the pain with spin this morning! }(

I have a meeting to go to at work at 4pm and it is required we take 30 mins of their endurance weight training class so I'll be using nice light weights! That's for sure!:p

Hey girls,

Sorry I haven't been around this week, I have had a major tiring week at work. And I am ashamed to say that I haven't worked out since monday. But I am getting back on track tomorrow going to the gym to workout in the morning. Somehow the beach ruined me as far as energy! Vacation is supposed to make you feel relaxed when you come home isn't it?

Hope everyone has had a good week and have a great weekend!

07-11-07 p.m. water jogging

07-12-07 a.m. Muscle Endurance

07-13-07 a.m. Total Body Stretching (second segment and third segment)

07-14-07 a.m. Power Circuit (cardio and power circuits)

I love the blog updates and pictures. Cathe’s pretty blue outfit is my favorite. I am excited about the new workouts and the Road Trip! After seeing the blog pictures, I am thinking about sitting out the boot camp class at the Road Trip. Wow! Some of those moves are way out of my league!

Hugs to Jean, Kim, and Wendy!

Blessings,
Heather B.

Hi Wendy, Heather and Kim

Hope all is well with each of you. Things here have been busy for me so not much posting time available. After taking the weekend off, I managed to get up this morning and get on the TM for 30 min. Hopefully this will be a productive week for me.

Heather, nice plan for the week. I need your energy.

Jean

Heather I just saw that the Tax Free weekend has been moved. So much for us saving on our Road Trip clothes.

This morning I did Boot Camp. I also laid out a bunch of workouts for the next couple of weeks to get a good variety in before the road trip.

Tomorrow will be step or a run.

Jean
