Hey Bita!
Thanks for your post. So far so good - day #2. The folks seem so nice. My boss seems like a great person, I've got lots to keep me busy (3 client visits this week). The commute couldnt be better :) and to top it off I got a nice title and office. I know it's ONLY day 2 but so far so good.

I am officially taking a rest week! Gotta focus on getting use to being back at work and having less time for errands! Plus this week tonight we had HS awards ceremony - my daughter got one in history :) and Thursday for 8th graders reception then they have a dance!

Well I'll be back to work out next week! This this is a great week to rest (at least on this front)!

Thanks for starting the post Bita.

Robyn, I thought about you Monday! I'm so glad things are going well. Congratulations to your daughter on getting the History Award. You deserve a rest week. Not that you'll be getting that much rest it seems.

I did PS CST Monday, SL Tues., and the step section of BMax today.

I've kept with a few of the suggestions from Fat Flush Bita. The no sugar, cranwater, evening primrose, flax. But, that's about all I gleaned from that diet. Oh, and I discovered Stevia plus sweetener. I missed my oatmeal too much to stick with it.

Hi Ladies -- I've been MIA longer than I anticipated. My presentation to my client in Memphis went exceptionally well and now we are waiting on the outcome. We were one of three vendors, so we're not assured of anything. Very hopeful, though.

I was good about my w.o. even though I've been travelling. I did my forward Yoga stretches will I was travelling. I know the tape almost by heart. Last night, DH and I did Vol.1 -- he just loves Susan! Tonight is date night -- we're going to a comedy club. Tomorrow is Vol. 3 and some golf!

Robyn -- I was thinking of you this week. Your new job sounds terrific! See, things work out when they're supposed to. My best to you DD on her history award. That represents a lot of work on her part.

Bita -- How do you like Soul of Strength? I saw it in the College Video catalogue and was thinking of purchasing it. It says "advanced" and I'm not sure I'm that flexible. I might have to work up to it, but that would be ok with me.

Janice -- I'm with you on the oatmeal. Love oatmeal!!! Eat it 5 days out of 7 with brown sugar and flax meal. The flax meal makes it even yummier!

Gloria, you picked the very good things from the FF diet. I think it's great that you like your oatmeal. It is good stuff. I don't go strict on FF other that couple of weeks at a time, twice a year. It is not for everyone, just like everything else. At least you tried it and you know it's not for you.

Juli, I LOVE Soul of Stregth. I know you can modify it perfectly for your level and need. I just love Baron's style.

Today was MIS. I broke down and ordered the Slim Series. I've read so many good comments about it I thought I'd give it a try.

Hi girls. Gloria-Let us know how you like the Slim Series. I had Slim-in-6 but traded it for the entire Cathe X-press set. It's just not advanced enough for me. I HAVE to be sweating buckets when I get done or I don't feel like I've worked out. Pathetic huh?

Bita-Glad you're posting here and at Ya Ya's. This has been the busiest week I've ever had at this office. Good of course because we're writing new business but so darn busy! No time to talk to my cyber-friends. I did Power 90 advanced cardio and abs(TOUGH!) on Monday? maybe Sunday. Cathe's All step today, yesterday I rested and I did another Cathe X-press(Kickboxing, I think). I'm getting to where I love Cathe more than Firms and I NEVER thought that would happen.!!!! Cathe just makes the "work" so much fun!

Robyn-SO GLAD you like your new job. It makes such a difference. I LOVE my boss so I LOVE my job. She is so good to me and I appreciate her!

Juli-Glad to see you. Still golfing?

Anybody heard from Otisan? I'm worried about her.

Gloria-The Power 90 tape I traded for is made by the same company as the Slim Series. If SS is anything close to as tough as that tape-you'll be happy with it. The tape I have is called 3 & 4 cardio with Tony Horton(TOO CUTE) It's tough but really fun! I thought I wouldn't like it because it doesn't have music. He tells you at the beginning to put on music you like that makes you "move". I found that without music I have to pay more attention to his cues and actually work harder!!! Never expected that! Hope you love the SS. Gotta go do work so talk to ya'll Monday I hope....Janice

Hi Ladies --

Wow!!! What a gusto weekend I've had! I took Friday off as a vacation day to be with my DH. I have to travel to Chicago this afternoon for training and will be gone for two days. That makes the weekend too short so we took some time off. Played golf on Friday. It was an absolutely gorgeous day. I'm hitting the fairways pretty consistently now. SLOOOOOWLY getting better. Went to see "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" at the Ensemble Theater on Friday night.

Saturday I did Yoga for Flexibility (forward bends) I can tell my flexibility is inproving. Still not like Patricia Walden but good for me. In the evening we went to a wedding reception and danced our booties off.

Now it's back to reality, I'm cleaning the house and doing the laundry before I head out to the airport. It will probably be Wednesday before I check in. In the meantime, my best to all --

I had to do a upper body because I hurt my ankle over the weekend. We thought it was broken(It wasn't thank GOD)

Sounds like everyone is doing well:)

8 days into it and I really like my job :) My boss is Such a good person. It's so nice the company is really family oriented which is so nice! I'm very busy - been to 4 clients - 5th is on Monday and I'm actually already getting things accomplished - proposals, requirements .... First pay check is tomorrow - that will be nice!

I love working close to home - met my daughter for lunch today - such a treat :) Funny - I had always heard the teen years were horrible and I find we are so much closer than I ever expected. and could get my son to camp and to work on time the day she couldnt drive him. I figure the extra 40 mins I get back on the commute (20 mins each way) can be working out time!

Took last week off from working out so far this week - kickbox - 1 weight (about to do the 2nd) - 1 day running - so feeling good. Best is I'm keeping up my fruit and veggies and drinking water now that I'm working. Still reading, keeping positive, and volunteering at the animals shelter but not as much

You guys have been so great and encouraging during the job search I really appreciate it - if I didnt say it already :)

Have a good nite all - I'm gonna go do some weight work :) DD is now driving at night -- gosh it is amazing how QUICKLY they grow up! so I always worry this way i'll be working out not worrying so much!

Hi ladies,
Hope you are doing wonderful!

Starting last Sunday, I am doing a Muscle and Fitness Hers rotation. of course because I use my exercise vids and dvds, it is modified, but not easier. I like it. It varies the style of lifting and aerobic training each week.

Also, I am taking time off from checking in. Mainly to see how motivated I remain and to see how much more time I will have in my hand.

You ladies have been most wonderful, extremely special and supportive. Please know that I appreciate all of you so very much.

If I see in myself the signs of gowing down, I will return to check-in!!

Hey everyone! Bita, Gloria, Janice, FS, Juli

I haven't been checking in much but still working out. I'm into a running and my own weight work routine. Actually been so Hot here have to do the running first thing in the am.

So far so good on the job. Really great group of people. There are 3 woman there who I could see becoming good friends with which is nice. I'm very busy. Job is like Imax (intervals) - that's exactly how I'd explain... I love that workout so maybe that's why I like th job so much. Got the first paycheck yesterday so took the kids out for vietnamese dinner .. YUM :) and SO healthy.

Bita best you - definetely check in from time to time. We will miss you. I agree with you this is an extrememly supportive group and its been great :)

Well off for a run!

I'm Baaack! I was good in Chicago, got up at 5 to work out and do yoga stretches. Not so good since I returned home two days ago. I've been helping with Vacation Bible School and it's too late to work out when I get home. Today I get back on track. I need the stress relief!

Bita -- We'll miss your cheeriness. Please touch base from time to time.

Robyn -- So glad your job is everything you wanted!

I'm still here.It's been brutally hot here.That god for a/c&our little three foot pool.I started my vacation yesterday.Today my niece,my friend and I are going to VT for the day.To hang out with my friend.Then on the way back we are visiting DF cousin.It a girl day.So much fun.Took this week off from w/o.I have to get myself out of this rut.I got the new firm body sculpting 2 kit.Going to do the one with Emily Welsh tomorrow.Going to do some house cleaning and lots of swimming.

Hi girls. Happy Friday. Gloria-I haven't heard from Otisan since she told us she had lupus. Sure hope she's OK. Lupus can vary from very mild symptoms to very severe. Otisan if you're lurking-we miss ya girl.

I did aerobic housework yesterday as I'm having a jewelry party tomorrow night. Worked for 8 hours!!!dusting, vacuuming and getting rid of clutter.

This AM I did Core cardio(Firm) and it kicked my butt! I'd forgotten how intense and high impact it was!

Juli-Welcome home. Glad you had fun.

Robyn-So glad your job is so good!!!

Bita! Please check in from time to time. We'll really miss you!

Firmscorpio-This heat is brutal isn't it? We hit 96 yesterday. YUCK!
