TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE!check in 2/17-2/23

Hi All --

It's really busy today so I have just a moment to check in. Last night did Yoga (Forward Bends) and 5DA. Noticed the tummy was getting a little pooch-y.

Gloria -- Positive vibes coming your way for yourself and your MIL. Hope she's feeling better and you're not too stressed.

Otisan -- Give yourself a pat on the back! You're doing great and your attitude is right on!

FS -- You inspire us. You make yourself do it. Great job!

Hope everyone is doing great. Gotta run ----

Bon Soir! Today I did PUB + 5 intervals of IMAX2. I had to split the darn thing up in three different parts because of the insanity we like to call “home”. The 3 y.o. was just a crazy man today.}( I will be bald-headed quite soon I fear. This is the song he was singing in the car on the way home from the 7 y.o.'s basketball game:

I'm a bossy liddle guy
I'm a bossy liddle guy
so take me home
right now

repeat for 20 minutes.
--------

Hugs to y’all.:7

Happy Friday Ladies,

Well yesterday I got my 4 mile run in. Today is looking like PUB, I just can’t seem to stay away from the PUB/PLB split, they seem to go so well with my runs in the middle. Also I have been tracking my food again on fitday because I’ve hit a plateau with my weight loss again. So after gauging my stats I have come to the realization that once again I’m not eating enough to match what I’m putting out. Plus my protein level seems to be a little low. So up go the calories (to 2000) and protein for a couple of weeks and we’ll see if that shakes things up a bit. Boy is it hard to up my calories with a clear conscience though.

Have a great day all,
Debbie

Michelle- We all loved your 3 yr old’s song from yesterday. My oldest read that and then proceeded to sing her version for the rest of the night before she went home. She may be 20 yr old but…. Sometimes she still acts like she’s 2. Okay I do too, sometimes. The story reminded us of when our youngest was about 3. One night as the 4 of us were eating dinner, we were telling jokes. So during the middle of this our youngest dd say’s “I got a yoke, I got a yoke” and then she proceeds to tell her joke, which was “boogie on a hanger”. It was so obscure and adorable that all three of us just lost it. We laughed so hard! Well as a result for the next oh, say 4 months and 20 times a day, anytime dd got into trouble or wanted to show off or felt that somehow she wasn’t the center of attention, she would come running and yell “boogie on a hanger” we always had to laugh. It became one of the most sweetest memories that we have ever had.

Hello to everyone else.... :)

Bonjour!

Yesterday I had to do Step & Intervals along with shoulders, since I did All step with chest Monday. I hate being out of order! I did the shoulder part first because I wanted to go heavy. Well, I impressed myself by matching Cathe pound for pound on ever rep!!! That also provided a good boost for the rest of the tape. I'm going to be miss the CTX series when February is over and I start the next rotation. PS is next and it looks like a killer...

Wildpony, I totally love fitday.com, I really can't imagine how I managed before without it. I understand how you feel about taking in more calories. It seems counter productive on a visceral level, but you definitely need more cals for the workout level you're at. Let us know how it goes!

Big hello's to Bita, Fitdoc, Gloria, Juli, Janice, Firmscorpio, Robyn, Smiley and everyone else. I take it that Janice's absence is because she's at HH having the time of her life :)

Hey everyone!

We were away 3 day this week (school vacation week). We were looking at colleges had a great time. THe athletic facilities are just amazing made me wish it was me going to school: taking interesting courses, being with all kids the same age, great activities. Nice.

Anyhow workout this week was based on travel

Sun S&H tricep bicep
Mon cardiokick
Tuesday - few hours of shovelling ! -excercising in hotel though Thursday
Friday - Imax
Saturday - Not sure which one but cardio

I'm going to do my 3rd week of S&H this week - since didn't get it in this week!

Have a great day all :)

Good Saturday Afternoon, everyone

Robyn, I had to laugh at your "shovelling workout" on Tuesday- I've spent over 6 hours out there this week. No one can deny that that IS a tough workout!

Smiley, time sure does fly. Days may be long, but weeks are quick.

Firmscorpio, forgive me, but what is a "gordy room"? Is this a hockey reference? Have fun with setting that up and your aunt's BD party!

Last night I did 10-10-10, triceps & floor legs from Firm Volume 2. Today I'll do the kickbox & bicep segment from CTX. I really love this rotation, has anyone done it longer than a month?

Hope everyone is warm & dry. Have a great weekend!

Hey challengers!

I just finished Boot Camp. (Yesterday I took a rest day. I realized that I had done 7 hard workouts in a row and my body was telling me “enough already”.)

Otisan, SIX :eek:hours of snow shoveling? You are set for the week!

Robyn, I felt the same way when I dropped my DS off in Boston. I took one look at the nice dorms, the beautiful Boston skyline, the amazing library and decided it would be better if I stayed to repeat college!

Debbie, the “boogie on a hanger” made me LOL!

Take care everybody:D

Hi! Hope everyone is having a fun day.

It's raining beautifully today, making all that snow to melt and turning the roads to rivers!! Now have to worry about flood!!!

Had an accident couple of days ago. A guy passed the red light and hit our car crossing the street. I was driving DH's car and my DS was with me. It was horrifying! Couldn't stop crying being scared for my DS's safety. He was fine and kept asking me if I was ok! He handled it so well, such a blessing that he was alright. They have to total the car. The other driver was a volunteer fire-fighter and a life guard at one of the pools we happen to go to! He has such a bad driving record that his primary insurance excluded him, and his secondery insurance has only liability coverage. Scary!! Just venting out. Sorry!

I did "step this way" today.

Take best care.
Bita:)

Oh, Bita, are you alright? Thank G-d both you and your son weren't hurt. I'm sorry the car is totalled, but it can be replaced. I hope the other party's insurance will cover it. I also hope this volunteer fireman doesn't actually DRIVE the firetruck!

Bita, glad to hear your o.k.That is a very scary experience. It's even scarier that he is a volunteer fireman.Cars can be replaced.People can't.It's another miserable weekend.Yesterday,it was snowing/sleeting all day.Today it's raining.Everything is all slush and wet, wet, wet! Can not wait till spring is here.Otisan,Gordy is my friends dog we are taking care of for three months. We're both excited about his visit.DF will have a new playmate and i will have a new walking buddy.Today is my aunt's b-day party.I just made baked ziti.Going to be a big chow feast.Gotta love the family gatherings.

Working on my workout schedule and my goals for the first month of the Self Challenge.I'm really excited about the challenge because Timber99 and I are doing it together. If you guys are interested check it out:www.self.com.It's a really fun challenge where you win prizes.Goldengirl, had one of the best weekends of her life. Can not wait to her about it.Have a great day.

Hi ladies,
Hope you're doing well.

Otisan, FS, thanks a million for your kind words and so much understanding. Like you said thank goodness no one was hurt. I've seen many scary trauma cases, due to cross section accidents.

Otisan, your rotation sounds great.
FS, have blast at your aunts Bday party.
Warm hellos to everyone.

I did Definition lower and middle and some Ashtanga.

Take best care and have a beautiful day.
Bita
:)

Happy Sunday Ladies,

Well the guilt of being anonymous has taken its toll. So here is my “coming out” party. Below after much hard computer geek work with my VDH’s help I have put together a little web page with before and right now pictures. Don’t get to excited I mean I’m still in this journey and have a ways to go before I will feel like I have reached my personal goal, but I am told by my family that I do look differently than when I started. The family feels that it’s time for me to post this. I only sort of see the difference I mean I do but it doesn’t feel as big to me as it does to my family. Okay enough excuses here is me. ;)

Debbie

Bita- I’m so glad that you two aren’t hurt. I know how scary that all was. I’m sorry you had to go through that.

WOW WILDPONY!!! You look INCREDIBLE! Check out those killer biceps! Thank you so much for sharing your "photo journey" with us, it really drives home the message that with the right attitude, we can do it.

Today I felt horrible, I've been battling a cold since Wednesday, but today I was so run down. I can deal with the sore throat, sneezing, coughing, etc.; as long as I feel alert, I'm ok. Again, Wildpony, I had to hand it to you. If your BP meds are making you exhausted and yet you persevere, there is no reason I can't do it! Today's workout was scheduled for LL, and despite numerous chances to chicken out, I did the whole thing. Yay! I actually feel better, too.

DF & I are going shopping so I can reload on the healthy foods that keep me motivated. I can't believe how much I love a certain salad dressing- getting in the greens is no problem now!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Hi! Today’s workout will be the the last 5 cardio intervals of IMAX2 (already set up on the DVD – gotta love that Cathe woman.)

DEBBIE! YAY! YIPEE! It’s about &$%* time you posted those amazing pics. (BTW, did you post them under successes too? There are a lot of women who will be inspired by you and I don’t want them to miss out.) I love your avatar too. You look just as I remember – beautiful!:D

Bita, I'm so glad you and your sweet DC are O.K. Hope you are feeling O.K.

Happy Sunday, Ladies!

Wow!! I didn't post yesterday and look what I missed. Bita, I'm so glad you and DS weren't hurt. How frightening--things can change so fast. So glad no one was hurt.

Debbie -- You go girl! You look fantastic! Is that Burner in the background of the Feb2003 pic?

Otisan -- Hope you feel better soon.

To all my winter-weary friends -- Hang in there. A little more snow in Cincinnati (about 2 inches last night) and about the same predicted through the night tonight. I enjoy all the seasons but I have to admit, I'm ready for some greenery.

The snow has helped me stay on track with my costumes. Spent about 4 hours on the Angel's gown, still have the cape, halo and belt to go. I'm really pushing to hit my deadline -- March 1. Afterwards, I plan to go shopping and treat myself.

Waves to Michelle, Gloria, Janice, Robyn and Smiley!

Juli
