TRANSFORMATION CHALLENGE:6/30-7/6

Can you believe we're half way through the challenge?I've been having a tough year.But,i'm determined to get myself back on track.This weeks topic is on:

FOCUS:
We need to focus on our goals&challenges in our lives in order to find a solution to the accomplishments we want to acheive.Staying focus is the key in making strives.I've lost focus and it has set me into a wickard rut.I'll do good then all of a sudden i'm a mess.My train of thought is gone,my focus has shifted.I'm working on refocusing myself on the important changes i have made and the ones i need to make.They only way we can change our lives.Is to change our focus on the goal and stick to it.

I did the new firm:Total Sculpt with Jen Carmen.Liked it.One thing about the new firm is you can really heavy up.My focus for my workouts is to get back into my morning routines.Work out five days a week no matter what my workouts are.My focus on my eating habits.Is to get back to my cleanse foods.I also ordered the fitprime rebounder.Just have to get myself siked and back on track.Enjoying my vacation which is a eye opener.Going to CT for two days.Wearing a bathing suit is definitely going to make me change my focus.

I think Bita said she was going to bow out posting for awhile. Not sure about Gloria and Juli.
I've been SOOO busy GOOD busy at work so little time to post! I know it's only week 3 but I'm soo happy there. Great people and the job has everything I wanted in a job - so I'm thrilled.

I've been doing a running and lifting my own routine type workout. It gives me a lot of flexibility. I run in the am but can do the lifting the other days at night. Goal is 3 cardio - run and 3 days free weights.

Hi Robyn. You're right about Bita. I'd forgotten that she said that. Sure miss her sunny posts.

I did Firm Lower Body Split. OMG that is one long tough tape. Did the whole thing tho. TOUGH!

Hi Everyone --

It's been really busy between work and overnight guests, but today I'm on vacation and wanted to check in. I've been good about exercise (brisk walks at Sharon Woods since the weather has been so nice. My DH goes with me.) This a.m. I did Yoga for Flexibility (the Backbends workout. There are two on the tape. The other is Forward Bends) I haven't been doing as much yoga as I normally do and I can really tell that I'm stiffer. It really shows up in my golf game because I don't wind up as much.

FS -- I liked your thoughts on FOCUS. I haven't been very focused on maintaining/growing my foreign language skills, and I'm committing myself to get back in the swing of it. I listen to Champs-Elysees tapes and do the (very hard) study guides. At first I was a little discouraged because I had forgotten things that I used to know well. It's ridiculous that I've let things slide, especially since this is a priority goal for me. The basement (remember that project?) will be finished by Sunday and I have nothing standing in my way. I'm even taking my French tapes to listen to in the car when we go to visit DH's family over the 4th.

Hi girls,

It has been busy around here this week. DS turned 18 Tuesday and we had a party for him. I've been trying to get my house in order before we head to the beach tomorrow for a few days. Then we turn right around and go to orientation. Summer is slipping by! I ordered the SS. I've done 4 of the 6 tapes so far. They are a nice change but won't take the place of my Cathe tapes. I'm going to stick with them for a few weeks and see what results I get.

Robyn, I'm so happy you like your new job. Everything just seems to have fallen into place for you.

Juli, YAY for the completion of the basement project!

Janice, I saw a post from Otisan on the ya-ya board. She seems to be doing okay. Says she has to be careful not to overdo it though. I'm not that familiar with lupus, but it seems to affect people differently. Otisan is such a positive person, I'm hoping that will help her.

Just a quick check in.My vacation has been awesome.Went to CT for a couple of days.Haven't done a workout since Tuesday and my eating is way out of control.Will get back on track Monday.

Just a short post as I must head out to a party. Just got home from Lake Erie this afternoon and did 45 minutes of Vol. 3 (that was all I had time for). I love that w.o. One of my absolute favorites.

Oh, thank heavens! I thought the TC was a thing of the past. Glad to see everyone is still posting. I know where Fitdoc & Bita are, but where is Wildpony? I miss her.

I had a pretty bad setback a few months ago, but I'm dusting myself off and getting back on track. My lupus is mostly in remission, but it does rear its ugly head once in awhile. This month's rotation (6/18-7/18) is the venerable CTX. If all goes well, next month I'm going to add another 1/2 hour of cardio and split up the PS Series to be more like the CTX rotation.

How has everyone's summer been? We've just begun our summer twelve days ago when it went from 60° to 90+° practically overnight. And with all the rain we've had, the misquitoes are quite abundant!

Gloria, I remember last year you had a pretty bad drought. Now this year is the opposite. How are you holding up?

Juli, I thought of you last week while watching TNT's Ceasar miniseries. I thought, "You call that a Roman costume? I'll show you a real Roman costume!" N'est-ce pas?

Janice, always good to see you, sweetie! Let's stay here a while, ok?

Firmscorpio, how are those wedding plans going?

Hey Otisan - great to see you posts. Very good to see you back. Noone has heard from Wildpony in quite a while but noone had her email to check up on her.

Busy weekend - did MAJOR cutting of the bushes VERY VERY overgrown what a work out! Brisk walk with the kids the other day (3 miles) to the 4th of july parade and then my free weights routine. Today was rest day - it was 95 so nice not to be working out but now with working again seems the weekends are so busy with errands etc.

I'm doing really well on water and fruit and veggies - these have always been tough for me. It's always been easier for me to cut back on bad stuff than eat all the good stuff - weird I know. I am feeling health and energetic :)

Hi girls. Otisan-Glad to see you. I'm so glad you're feeling like yourself again! We don't know what's happened with Wildpony. Wish we had her e-mail address but we don't. I got my new Susan tape and it's GREAT. did it this AM and SS yesterday. Hope you all are doing great....Janice
 
I should be getting my Susan tape any day now.If fact i just looked out in the back porch to see if it was there.Boy,i've been having a very hard time with this rut.My workouts have been suffering big time.I've decided to get back on ww.This morning i did the new firm with Emily Welsh:Complete Aerobic&Weight training.It is a good workout.Different.Sad part about my rut is that i feel like a beginner.That's o.k.I will get back to we i was at with my normal weights and workouts.Just going to take it one day at a time.Going back to ww also.That program is so easy&flexible.

Still time to make some transformation in areas of my life.That desperatly need it.Every areas i should say.Otisan,glad to hear from you.Hang in there girl.You are a great inspiration.Wish you well.I did order the rebounder and i can't wait to try it.It looks like a killer workout.Plus,i'm going to use it for the stationary cardio in the older firm.Hope everyone is doing well.
 
Good morning girls!

We've been on the go around here. First the beach, then orientation for ds. Just got home last night. I've got zillions of clothes to wash, the grocery store to look forward to, and the dog realllly needs a bath! I've eaten french fries 3 days in a row. It's not good for me to hang out with college kids for too long. I've got to get back with a healthy lifestyle pronto! I think I'll do my old faithful All-Step today. Bought some peaches on the way home yesterday and they smell delicious. Wish I could share some of our Ga peaches with y'all.

Otisan, it's so good to have you back! Sorry you've had to go through some tough things lately. How are the wedding plans? And yes, I'm about to mildew down here. Most days it feels like a sauna outside.
