Toughest combo in IMAX 3?

Hey all - I just did IMAX 3 today. Holy Toledo! I was pretty proud of myself, but I had some challenges - #4 confused the heck out of me, but I finally got it in the end (the break felt wonderful).

Just curious as to which combo everyone thinks it the toughest. For me it's #7 - with with hops up and off the step. When it finally came time for the lunges, I did not jump them!

But, I really enjoyed this one. I had to mop the floor afterwards. And I'm feeling nice and worked out right now.

Christine, first off, congrats! IM3 is super challenging & I know how great it feels to finish...and alive, too }( LOL

Which is the hardest??? Hmmmm....there are 2 that I dread but love to dread at the same time...interval 3 (plunge lunges) & the plie squats one....ACK!!! Both almost kill me. I think I just need to work up to the endurance level. It's weird how those kill me but seven feels much better to me. I don't know, the whole deal is one big leg frier but I love it :p

Debbie - Thanks! It's a toughie, all right! But, if you go with that in mind, it's fun.

Isn't it funny how different sets affect different people? The plunge lunge one doesn't bother me. But, I am with you on the Plie Squats. By the last set of eight, I did not resemble Cathe and the gang at all! I had feeble little jumps and my feet made movement towards each other, but I think it was like 10 centimeters.

I can't remember which number it is, but for me the toughest is the jump side, jump forward turn, richochet then tuck jump and do it again and again LOL...that one is TOUGH! }(

I might not have found that one tough because it took me two rounds just to figure out what the heck she was doing! That is a toughie though - #4 incase you're wondering. I swear I have the bloody things memorized.

For me it is also the interval with the plie squats!!! Yeow! I keep looking at the crew wondering how in the heck can they keep going???...:)...Carole

Yup, I gotta agree it's those plie jacks! I am in awe at how the crew can get through those and not be doubled over gasping for air .... ummm ... not like I'd know what that is like ... hee hee!
Cath :)

YES YES YES this one KILLS me!! I think I can only do like half of these. Maybe if we just practiced them alone they wouldn't seem so hateful! And I'm still awful and the jump tuck. I just can't seem to get my knees as high as they do!

When I first started with the IMAX series, I found that I landed on the ground a whole lot quicker than they did. I'm starting to be able to hold air a little longer (until I get tired), but those tucks - yeah, it's not happening yet. But I'm keeping the faith!

I think the first 5 intervals are tougher than the last 5. I think interval 4 is the hardest on the heart.

Congratulations on completing this tough workout! For me the #4 and # 5 combo together are the hardest part. Doing all those series of plie jumps after completing the hops around the step in #4 really
takes one to the limit!

I agree with Shelly on this one...it is the combo of 4 AND 5 that I find the toughest part of the workout. After that, it is all downhill, IMHO!

I am not sure which interval it is, but the one where you are doing the long jumps across the step. She has you do 9 jumps, then 14 and 14. Whew..that one is killer. Then the interval right after that is hard too. Then she has the nerve to say "What are you crying for, it could have been harder!!!!" What!!!! I must confess, I flip her the bird everytime I do IMAX3 and she says that line! Real mature, I know, but I can't talk enough at that point to say anything back to her! }(

Renee - I've been known to flip Cathe off as well, especially when I panting like a dog and dripping sweat and totally incapable of any other form of communication. My 12 year old caught me one time and said, "Mom! Why are you flipping off Cathe? You bought her videos, you know how tough it is, so why get mad at her because you were stupid enough to do it?" Sometimes she's too logical for my own good.
