I am debating on getting this. I thought i would ask all you wonderful guys and gals what you think of it. Does it have a good variety and yummy recipes?

The new Tosca Reno's cookbook is GREAT! I prepared so far a shrimp stir-fry & the Canadian beef stew. Both are delish! It does have great variety everything from breakfast to desserts (all clean) & nutritious. A lot of smoothies too. Definitely purchase it. Its worth every penny. Kathy

I love the cookbook. It has nice glossy pages and a picture for every, or close to every, recipe. I despise cookbooks without pictures. My only complaint is that some of the ingredients can be difficult to find and it would be nice to see some alternatives mentioned. I've also learned to scale down her recipes as they tend to make too much for one or two people.

Are most of the recipes high in carbs? That's one thing I hate about the Oxygen recipes, the carbs are so high in most all the recipes.

Hi Debbie!

The book is broken down into separate sections:

Breakfast
Proteins
Vegetables
One Dish & Easy Meals

Can't remember anymore. But you get the idea. She does have a recipe for vegetarian chili as well as white chicken chili that look great.

I bought her cookbook last weekend and the 2 recipes I tried were great! I love the variety and the suggestions she has throughout the book.

I also bought this book and there are a lot of great recipes. Last night I made shepherds pie and its delish.

OK you enablers, I ordered this one yesterday and cannot wait to get it! I also ordered Jessica Seinfeld's cookbook Deceptively Delicious. It's supposed to have lots of recipes with hidden healthy ingredients in it for kids. But I think I'm going to love the recipes too. I miss baking, and she has lots of recipes that are supposed to be healthy. Can't wait to get both these books!!!

>Would you suggest also buying her other book "the Eat clean
>Diet" or just this one?

At the risk of being an enabler, I'd recommend getting both of them! I read the book over the summer, and it had a lot of great information. I've only made a couple of things from the new cookbook, but they've been good so far and haven't been too carb-heavy. The only thing I don't like about the cookbook is that some of the recipes take a really long time to make . . . .
