Too much cardio, or not enough?

I am now doing Cathe strength workouts excluslively. I want more muscle definition. I used to do cardio 6 days a week, an hour a day. I have cut back to only doing a half hour of cardio on weight days. I still do an hour on non-consecutive days. I also have added more protein to my diet. I have no weight to lose. I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for me? Oh, I am doing weights either full body M,W,F. Or,a split routine four days a week.

Hello Sherry, If you do not have any weight to lose I think that might be to much Cardio. I would take out the cardio on the days you workout with weights, and just do it on other days( 3 days weights, 4 days cardio) Also doing full body weights 3 days a week might be to much i would keep with the 3-day split, or an upper body workout, a lower body workout, and a circuit workout once per week, with cardio intermixed on the other days. I think that if you continue with the plan you are doing you risk overtraining, just in my opinon. Hope this is helpful, Take care and Have FUN!:7

I have looked at Cathe's rotations, current and past. She usually schedules about the same amount you are recommending. Starting this week, I have cut my cardio back. Also, I dont do 3 full body workouts a week, every week, Some weeks I do the 3-day split with the Gym Style series, or splits with some of her other workouts. Thanks for the advice!
